very true, i totally agree. before, i used to hate shias with all my heart until i realized a more important message; unity. Its true, we may have our differences, but in the end, it is Allah who we worship and it is the Prophet Muhammad (s) who we follow.
On another note, have you heard the series " The Arrivals"? Its really good, you should watch them quickly before they are taken down. They are pretty short; each segment being about 5 to 10 minutes. watch the first couple of episodes and after about 5 you would get hook. Salam
I guess its like saying "ameen" after reading surat al Fatiha. Though "ameen" is not part of surah, it is indeed a sunnah to follow. Another example would be the sunnah salah. Though the Prophet Muhammad (s) prayed the manditory sunnah, they are not obligatory (fard) (execpt the witr and the sunnah before fajr). Shookrun for the info.
i prefer sunni, but we are one ummah right? I mean, as long as you believe Allah (srt) is one and the only one worthy of worship, and Muhammad (sas) is the last and final messenger of Allah, then your muslim. I prefer sunni because majority of muslims (including myself) are sunni.
DjazakAllahu khair for the info. InshaAllah may Allah (Sbuhana Rubi Tallah) the Prophet (sallah Alluhu alayhi wa aalihi wa sahbiti wa salam) would be happy. I am curious, can you send me the links to these hadith though. i tried looking on google but i couldnt find. Again, DjazakAllahu khair.
Brother, i am just wondering, is your argument that you MUST give salam to the family of the Prophet Muhammad (s) each time you hear the Prophet's (s) name, or that when you hear his, rusulilah's (s), family name, you give them salam? Because all the places i look, and listening to many khutabah, each time they mentioned the Prophet's (s) name, the just say "sallah Allahu alayhi wa salam" w/ sometimes saying "aalihi wa sahbiti."
well, i heard some narration say that the tashahood (again, mind the spelling) is the conversation between Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Allah (SRT). That "aali" in this sense is not his family, but rather the ummah itself. I heard a hadeeth that Angel Jabreel (Allai Salam) said "the one that hears the Prophets name and does give 'Salam' upon him is one of the greediest people." i never heard you MUST say "aali or sahbati" after hearing the Prophets (SAWS) name.
Either or is fine, i believe. When saying "sallah Allahu alayhi wa salam" is just sending salam to him sallah Allahu alayhi wa salam. adding "aalihi" or "sahbati (forgive my spelling)" is better to say but not as crucial as sallah Allah wa alayhi wa salam. Jazahu Allahu Khairun for the comment.
Wayyakum. It was fun talking to you, and InshaAllah, we will continue to talk.
