there is enough room for a run jump if you wait until the moving platform is at the top.

@trollmead, there is n infinate 1-up trick that you can do at the end of 2-3 with the koopa shell

Mini Mario comes in very handy in this level. He makes really long jumps and can ride on a bullet.
