I have studied the tanach since I have been old enough to read. All the Rabbi's and many christian ministers have always agreed that the prophet was speaking of the nation of Yisrael and not Mary. . @Scarletbull being Christian doesn't mean you are perfect. If that were so we wouldn't need a savior. But we do. We ALL ( Jews and Gentiles) Have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That's why Jesus came. Becasue we aren't perfect. Nor will we ever be. Jesus came to save the sinners, to bring them to repentance. Christians have differerent maturity levels in their walk. You can't say that all children learn the same. So becareful by judging one Christian, and making it ALL Christians

I'm analyzing. What I find funny about christians is, they don't celebrate halloween yet they celebrate xmas, easter, valentines day which are ALL pagan holidays created by the whore of babylon (Roman Catholic Church). Catholocism is a mixture of christianity from the bible & ancient Ba'al worship. Foolish humans trade their souls 4 riches. & 4 What? That's not judging, that's reality! @Scarletbull I used to belong to a church thats was on fire for Jesus like your church no doubt is. But this church also thought that everyone who didn't know Jesus just as they did were decieved and doomed to Hell. This didn't bode well in my heart of hearts and I left them. We can see the fruits of a person but can we see the intentions of everyones heart? There are plenty of enemies of God why should we judge our baby brothers ans sisters this way? Teaching not judging!

@Scarletbull Ok, things are getting clearer. I understand that you are not a member of a congregation, but to say that there are none worthy of your membership is a bit much, dont you think? There areway too many psuedo Christians yes but most are working hard to be better people and dont deserve to be stereotyped. Keep fighting the good fight brother and try to find fellow believers to connect with. The spirit works like a battery sometimes and more cells equal more voltage (I'm an engineer).

@slodill As usual you are taking the it out of context. Yisaehyahu 51 and 53 speak of the nation of Yisrael . All Rabbi's and many many christian theologians agree on that point. Daniels time line is unknown as to the actual length of the weeks. Hashem in Malachi said Before that awesome day of the lord I will send you elijah the prophet. Elijah didn't come. Who did y'shua always pray to? himself? Your doctrine is full of contradiction and half truths. The "new testament" is not G-d's word

@shaulbensoni TANACH: Isa 53:5 is about who? By WHOSE stripes are we healed? Dan 9: According to Daniel, the Messiah would come before the Temple would be destroyed which happened in A.D. 70. So who was the Messiah that came before A.D. 70? PSA 110:1:The Messiah had to come from the line of David. But then why did David call Him Lord? Gen 1:26: Then God said, "Let Us (עשה `asah - plural) make man in Our (צלם tselem - plural) image, according to Our (דמות dĕmuwth - plural) likeness".

@robinleigh131. y'shua is a false god. In Malachi, Hashem said before that day of Messiach Ben David he would send to us the prophet Elijah. Elijah never came. You say it was John the Baptist that was the spirit of Elijah. Then you make Hashem a liar. He didn't say he would send someone in the spirit or Elijah. He said he would send Elijah. The belief in a triune god is a pagan belief. There are many many reasons y'shua was not the Messiah. Study the Tanach. Not the christian interpretation

@djkoppe We don't have priests, that's a christian thing. You keep interpreting yisaehyahu 7:14 as if the prophet was speaking of a person. I have studied the tanach since I have been old enough to read. All the Rabbi's and many christian ministers have always agreed that the prophet was speaking of the nation of Yisrael and not Mary. It is the same as Yisaehyahu 51. Hashem said he would send Elijah before that day. Elijah never came but you think it was John, he denied being Elijah.

According to the prophecy of Daniel 9, in your Jewish Testament, there was a timeline for when the Messiah would come. If it wasn't Jesus........who came at the exact time the Daniel prophecy said He would........then who was it. You've got to pick somebody.......otherwise you are calling Daniel, your holy prophet, a liar.

Why dont you try to find some Jeiwhs commentary on that genesis passage... believe you me there is plenty of it that explains why the wording is that way. Trinity here, Trinity there. There is nothing as pagan as that concept. Not to try to understand the Scriptures through the eyes of Israel is one the worst mistakes a believer can make. I believe in Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah but I don't believe he is God (YHWH) or any manifestation of Him. The veil of ignorance will fall if you try at least to understand the old language, Hebrew. Understanding Israel's history, language and culture we're able to deliver better judgment.

@slodill Good. Then He's a liar. The Tanakh (Old Testament) said that a man would come in the Name of YHWH, it didn't said that YHWH would come. If Yeshua (Jesus) is (or believes he is) God, then he's not my Messiah. I believe that Yeshua was an ancient spirit (the first after God) made flesh; now we're talking. To make Yeshua equal to YHWH is blasphemy of the very first kind. And John 1:1 is horribly translated. Go and learn Greek and try to see it in Hebrew and you'll understand. Blessings!

@GulagPower That is an argument that doesn't hold water Scripturally, based on a few passages that say otherwise. I'll will try to respond in the next day or 2, but my thoughts are that the Old Testament specifically spoke of in at least 4 places of the God-Man, and made numerous obscure references to the God-Man. If I can show you those specific verses then there's really no way around it. Until then, to help meet your objections, are you Jewish, atheist, or mormon/jehovah's witness?

The MESSIAH would be the Son of God: All of Psalm 2, and Proverbs 30:4.
The MESSIAH would be GOD in the Flesh, the GOD-MAN:
Isaiah 9:6-7 (the son is called God)
Isaiah 7:14 (child born to a virgin named "God among us" by God)
Jeremiah 23:5-6 (a descendant of David given the name of God)
Micah 5:2 (an individual who was to be born in Bethlehem who would rule Israel would be from Everlasting/Eternity.... which only fits God Himself).
