I just wanted to let you know that is was THIS video three years ago that got me started in researching the abuses of Vatican II. You planted that seed that resulted in over a hundred books of research and many prayers and tears.
Next week my children and I are moving to be close to the SSPX. Thank you!
When Christ asks you at judgment, "Who do you say I am?" Make sure you give the pre-Novus Ordo Council answer, "God." If you give God the common Masonic answer out of the Gnostic bible, "you are the son of a burning bush fire (the lord)", you will quickly learn what this world was about and you will have an eternity to pay for it. As the Traditional Catholic Church breathes its last breath, the New Order replaces it. Will you have the knowledge to stand?
This is in no way, shape or form the Catholic Church, but the Novus Ordo Sect, that accursed spawn of the invalid "Vatican II" Robber Council. The UN-holy "Father", B-16, is the head of that sect, not Christ's Holy Catholic Church, since neither a heretic nor an apostate, of which he's both, can be the head of a body of which he's no longer a member. Recommend a Traditional Latin Mass, where you can be assured of receiving the genuine Corpus Christi, not the invalid Novus Ordo Cookie.
These outrages are a work of the devil, who uses these apostates to commit sacrelege in the mass. for too long these heretics have been allowed to hijack the church and its teachings and traditions,in order to make a church in their own image, if these things took place in my church, i would stay home and say my rosary until these bad clergy are kicked outa the church.
Even with your Motu Proprio, Benedict XVI is a hereisiarch; open your eyes! He is the head of that rotten fruit wherein lies the false church of so-called ecumenism where all religions are accepted. The Novus ORdo is a sect of Protestantism hated by God. Take these words to the bank.
Those who actually study the Bible without Protestant blindfolds know that the Bible clearly shows that the Virgin Mary is the new testament Ark of The Covenant and the new Eve. Youtube "The Best Mary Video Ever". It proves without a shadow of a doubt, using a plethora of scripture, this truth.
Alexander The Great thought his dad was god and mom was human. I guess that makes you a pagan for thinking Jesus was the son of God, huh?
Semiramis lived HUNDREDS of years AFTER Nimrod died.
"Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him AS A FATHER;" 1 Ti: 5:1
"Was not Abraham OUR FATHER justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" James 2:21
Chick Tracts = False propaganda. If you used Alexander Hislop as a source in Assyriology in an academic setting you would be laughed out of the building. Charles Chiniquy was kicked out of PROTESTANT churches for being a FORNICATOR. Alberto Rivera was never a Jesuit and his "ID" has been proven laughably fake.
@raphyortanez I am very impressed and jovial that you said 'protestant groups' not 'protestant churches'. It is a common misconception, indeed a widespread heresy that many ascribe these heretical bodies to contain a mode of salvation and justification.
LOL I love the music choice for this video! (and at the same time I am horrified at some of these abuses. I'm so glad to be in a diocese where even our most liberal church doesn't do stuff like this!)
'm going to use this on my blog- thank you for posting this!! Let me know if you want it removed (I'm just starting so I'm not sure what the blog rules are).
@IgnatiusBenedictus I read on a number of blogs, of rare (thankfully not widespread) occasions of hindu masses, buddhist masses, gay masses, women presbyter masses, etc. These have been performed in Catholic churches under the direction and support of catholic priests; a bishop in the gay mass abomination. I can only hope it is not true, but it is possible that these horrors do occur. As a child I have seen clown masses, hockey masses, public confessions. Sigh. God help us.
@catholicpeter Yeah what a mockery of the Mass and of Christ's precious body and blood in the Eucharist. God help us indeed brother. But I think all of this is fading away. The 60-70's the Church went through a tough time in the seminaries with liberals and a misunderstanding of Vatican II. But we have a great Pope who is bringing us back to the sacred.
@IgnatiusBenedictus True, the radical agenda is dying off. The new generation wants orthodoxy. I agree Benedict XVI is the best Pope since Pius XII , in my opinion.
The picture at 1:09 looks like something from a 1970's episode of Doctor Who! Some corny, pseudo-mystics who think they're summoning a deity that will give them power--not realizing that they're actually inviting an alien invasion.
and is not and obligation to us in order to be saved to learn latin so we can understand. And some people even say that that's not really important, that you just have to go and answer in latin when you were told to answer. that's even more sad
Learn your Church History before you speak. Latin is a universal language for a universal church. i have attended the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (preserved by SSPX) Switzerland and France and the US... I understand the Latin Mass whereever I go because I learned my Mass in a universal language as it was before VII . In Novus Ordo Mass, or post Vatican II Mass, the vernacular Catholic Mass can be different down the street and has never been consistent anywhere I go.
@paraisoat Don't tell me what to learn i have studied this more than you think. First i have a question does the society of Saint pious X is in comunnion with the holy see??? and second, i said if you read well that in order to be saved is not important to learn latin or are you going to teach latin to a billion people? my vocabulary may be simple but i guess you'll understand. P.D post Vatican II mass as yoy call it is a legitimate kind of mass don't you think?
@Jav089 You can read all about the history of the Society of Saint Pius X in 'The Horn of the Unicorn' They are more in communion with the Holy Roman Catholic Church than most orders today.
i don't think so ..... think this the really beautiful thing of the mass is not the ritual itself is not how many times the priest make a reverence but the authority invested on him to do what he does wich is the most beautiful act of love. i'm agree to be aways aware when some priests are not making the things right but come on the latin is not a "lingua franca" anymore i know some prayers sound beautiful that way but it's not a book of magical spells the priest is reading.
i'm a catholic too but what is with the Latin? why is so important i mean i am a law student it happens to be a really beautiful language and really important in legal studies, but in faith matters is it really important? that's when i'm not agree with the pro-tridentine mass that seems more like old catholics than real catholics, ore more- so like the pharisees from the times of our LORD. Did jesus speaks latin with his apostles? more important did he speaks in a different language
A fairly representative sampling of the invalid Novus Ordo "Mess", the fruit of the equally invalid "Vatican II" Robber Council, and it's accursed spawn, the Conciliar "Church", a.k.a., the Novus Ordo Sect. If you want the "real thing" attend a Tradtional Latin Mass, not the "Motu Mess" of the un-Holy Father, Benedict XVI, often used as a deception to sucker Novus Ordinarians into attending what they think is a genuine Mass. Don't be fooled; like everything else in the N.O., it's just a sham.
Shame on you !!! you the great OBSERVER of liturgy being disrespectful with the Name of the POPE and what he represents. Dont you know that that's the way luther and many others talk about the pope?? I truly believe the holy spirit is present in the holy catholic church.
You are absolutely correct Jav089, the Holy Spirit is very much alive and present in the Catholic Church; only the Novus Ordo Sect isn't the Catholic Church, and never was, but the bastard child of "Vatican II". If the un-"Holy Father" is in fact, the Pope, he certainly doesn't act like one; more like a brothel keeper, with his oversight, or the lack thereof, of dissolute prelates and corrupt priests. So much for the "Church of the Poor", whose leaders act worse than corrupt Renaissance princes.
Some of these can't possibly be from Catholic Churches... it's painful even thinking of the possibilities. Coming from a "Novus Ordo" church with a deep respect for the traditional liturgy, I question some of the images you've used... can it really be THAT bad?
They are that bad...you have priests in the Church that think that they can do whatever they want to, without any consequences...from receiving Communion in the hand to dropping Hosts on the ground....punishing those who receive kneeling down to Receive...even though the Pope has praised doing so.
Good video compilation of liturgical abuses by weak-minded heretical Catholics.
The Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ and will always be, but these people wound the Body of Christ with their sacrilegious garbage.
They need to be guided back to truth and back into the fold because they are lost souls.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I dont understand why millions cant see the falocies blasphemies of this church. its pure evil. everything about it. People, there's no need for popes and priests! get out of her my people
How can new churches built for the novus ordo be changed around ? The whole sanctuary would have to be changed I would think. People's Altars removed, steps changed, communion rails reinstalled etc.
But that is what happened when the Novus Ordo came out. Marble altars were removed and replaced with wooden tables, kneelers were removed, and the tabernacle was shoved in some corner. It has happened in the past.
The New Churches were bult specifically to accomadate only the Novus Ordo Mass, and prevent the original Mass from being said there. In fact these Churches with free-standing alters, removed tablernacles & confessional boxes etc, were designed and being built BEFORE the Novus Ordo was promulgated. The powers that be in the Vatican, knew exactly what they were doing!
It is time for real Catholics to rightfully reclaim the authentic Catholic liturgy! It is long overdue for churches to look like churches one again, and for the sacred liturgy to take on it's CATHOLIC identity.
Those are very important things that one should take into consideration. However, the way one acts in church is not the church's fault. Anyone can do tha in the Latin Mass. These are things I don't care about, because compared to what actually happens in the Mass, these things are not important. Priests have the power to call down our Lord, Old Rite or New. If I am wrong in saying that the new rite is equal to the old, then let God judge me, either way I am thankful for the Eucahrist!
As a Catholic all I care about is what the church says. Whether we celebrate the Old Latin Version or the new version deemed by Vatican II then it is no real difference.
Well lets take reverance in the church for example.
At the Tridenitne Mass people are dressed up, they are quiet and for the most part on time. At most places where the Novus Ordo Mass is celebrated, people talk and laugh, people usually come in late and they most leave after communion, not to mention dressing up for church is unheard of.
Being a regular at a Novus Ordo and on occasion a Tridentine, one would notice this.
Tridentists? Where did you come up with that label, and to whom does it apply? None of the Catholic worshippers I know desire to take from the faithful whatever Mass they may prefer. They simply desire the availability of the TLM and desire to have a choice. And no, those who love the Traditional Mass IN NO WAY reject the authentic teachings of the second Vatican council. You are off base and way out of touch.
Not sure where you get this idea about people who love the Tridentine Mass. I would say that you are really generalizing when lumping everyone who appreciates the Latin Mass into the same category ~ not to mention the fact that you're being uncharitable and judgemental.
The Novus Ordo, properly celebrated, is valid, as is the Tridentine. BTW, there are six other rites besides the Latin Rite and a dozen more liturgical expressions of those rites. The Mass, Tridentine or Novus Ordo, or from another rite, is the same Mass. Vatican II eliminated non-essential aspects accumulated over two millenia; the Novus Ordo was informed by the Didache, the 1st Century cathechism, and gives us a good idea of how the early Christians celebrated Mass.
Tthe liturgy of the Word and liturgy of the Eucharist are still focus of the Mass, but homilies are more directly tied to the readings, the liturgical language is the vernacular, and the people have a more active role in the prayers. The order of some liturgical elements have been moved, and the Mass now ends very soon after the distribution of Holy Communion, since the Eucharist is the supreme act of the liturgy.
Say, "Vivat Iesu." It is a difficult thing to go through with but do not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Read the Apostolic Constitutions. If you feel a priest is in the wrong be charitable. Do your research and confront him as a Christian. You have rights under Canon Law. There is no need to act like a protestant or an uncivilized screaming poor me. Get over your heart and seek to remonstrate error when you see. But, do not be schismatic under any circumstance. The devil wants that.
That would be "Vivat Jesus", with the -s of the nominatve. :) I just love Latin and I think it is a pity that the vernacular has replaced it. But I do agree with you that the language is the bathwater rather than the baby.
This video is a montage depiction of liturgical abuses which have been occurring over the past two decades in the Catholic Church. Clown Masses, liturgical dancing, disregard for proper form and sacred vessels (and the Eucharist Itself.) In the Lord's good time, things are improving. Note that the priestly orders who adhere to Church teaching are suffering no vocations crisis.
I do not believe it, I'm sorry. I saw female priests, I saw 'liturgical clothes' which have little to do with neither the old nor the new roman missal. I saw 'priests' with rainbow-coloured stoles most likely officiating in gay-blessings, whatever.
Be honest: it is just a mix from all sort of denominations blended together and has nothing to do with real practice in the roman-catholic church.
You stated "90%...has NOTHING to do with" Catholic practices. Unfortunately, 90% of the photos are taken from Catholic celebrations. The one with the clown priest may be Episcopalian, but I myself have attended a Catholic Youth Mass where clowns brought up the offertory gifts (including a mylar, heart-shaped helium balloon) and danced with candles around the altar. Sadly, these abuses have occurred over the past decade.
Isn't every parish under supervision of a dean (from the deacanary), which on itself is under supervision of the (arch)bishop?
That is why I'm highly surprised with this video and can almost not believe it is roman-catholic. Any dean or bishop already would have placed that parish under their direct rule.
Where have you been worshipping the past 20 years? We have bishops who celebrate gay Masses and call for women priests. The clown Mass I attended was celebrated by the bishop (although he seemed displeased at the demonstration). Our priests and bishops need our prayers ~ and especially so does the Holy Father.
Bishops who celebrate gay masses and call for woman priests?
In the roman-catholic church?
I have simply been to church in my own diocese (Roermond, province Limbourg, in the Netherlands). My country is known as very tolerant in allowing equal gender marriages, abortion, euthansasia, then use of soft drugs, whatever.
But in all this modernity the roman-catholic church has always followed Rome's guidelines. Very much to the dissatisfaction of the liberal majority.
Please understand, I am not saying that the bishops or priests have performed these liturgical abuses "with the approval of the Magisterium," but many have interjected their own innovations and nuances into the Holy Sacrifice, and a return to more traditional means of worship is welcomed by many of us who find these innovations to be vapid.
Thanks Scotty. The priest I was talking about is Rev Fr. Denzel Meuli of Titirangi. He is in his 80's, and a tower of strength with masses every day, benedictions, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Stations of the Cross, Holy Rosary, etc etc I really don't need to go on. If only there were more like him! Deo Gratias
I am totally agree with all 1Hope4All is saying. Fortunately, a few years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to move to a parish where the parish priest has persistently refused to give in to the pressure from the Bishop of the diocese (Auckland, New Zealand) instead resolutely stuck to his principles and celebrated only the Tridentine Latin Mass. Needless to say, his church is filled to overflowing for all the masses he celebrates EVERY day. If only there were more like him. Deo Gratias
Yes, the state of the Church in New Zealand is very, very disturbing. The Christchurch Diocese is a beacon of hope though. The Bishop and his predecessor is faithful to the Traditions of the Church and Bishop Meeking even Ordains Priests for the Extraordinary Form. The FSSP and the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer are both in Christchurch...for the rest of the country well it is the SSPX or nothing pretty much.
wjweigand, those "clown masses" are a joke and a disgrace to Holy Mother Church. But Holy Mother Church did NOT "okay" those Masses. There are liberal Priests who feel it's okay to have those Masses said.
watch?v=mqnjgg1vNgU
Please watch that video; end of the link above. It's Cardinal Arinze talking about those abuses and how Holy Mother Church does not teach to have those Masses said that way.
Like hundreds and hundreds of thousands of other Catholics I was so disgusted with the "antics" of the so-called reforms after Vatican II, that I left the Church as I was not prepared to put up with the obscenities I was seeing every Sunday at Mass: altar girls, Eucharist in the hand, priests saying Mass in overalls, nuns looking more like streetwalkers...need I go on?
Now, Praise the Lord, our prayers have been answered ! Hallelujah!
You are still in communion with those heretics if you attend the MP mass. You just accept being one of the many options allowed in the ConciLIAR church.
Thank God! But we must MUST MUST keep vigilant and ask everywhere for the Tridentine to be said. Its a major problem. We can have the best , but sadly, many of the priests dont know Latin and cant learn it.. they claim.. and I am frequently told " find a priest that speaks Latin and we can have it".
At 2:04 its the church of St. Agnes in St. Paul Minn. All they say is Novus Ordo Latin high mass and two low masses in english. They say the mass how it should of been after VII. If your in the area thats a place you need to stop at.
I do not even want to see ... these shows should be banned. Hierarchy of the holy catholic church because it does not say anything! are becoming accomplices to these people. Divinum auxilium maneat always nobiscum.
I was glad to see the Moto Proprio, but let's have a little perspective: not every Mass in the Ordinary Form is said in an abusive manner. When said correctly, the Novus Ordo is actually very beautiful in its "noble simplicity." Both rites have a place in the Roman Rite, and both can coexist and complement each other.
Absolutely agree. I am simply glad that the Tridentine is no longer branded as a "banned" rite. And unfortunately, liturgical abuses were becoming quite rampant, even among our bishops! I am hopeful that the dignity of the Novus Ordo will also be more widely realized because of the Motu Proprio. The Mass is a gift from Christ to His people. We should always be mindful of this, regardless of which rite we celebrate.
Agreed. But when we had "no choice" as to which rite to attend, it seemed as though the liturgical innovators felt they could do as they pleased. Now, those of us who have become disillusioned with those practices have a choice of attending a different rite which may offer a more reverent atmosphere. Normally, I attend the Novus Ordo. It has become too far to travel to attend the Tridentine, unfortunately.
I'm attending my first TLM next Sunday. I won't be able to attend every week, which is unfortunate, since my parish uses quite a few "innovations." But I'm going to college in Chicago next year, so hopefully I'll have more options than I do here in Tucson.
If your looking for a good place to go to a Tridentine mass is Chicago, try the Shrine of Christ the King. It's a shrine/"parish" of Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. They are a society of apostolic life dedicated to the preservation of Christ's reign in the world and the preservation of Catholic tradition. Also, they're in full communion with Rome. (Always a "must-have" in a Catholic church haha)
Thanks! I've also heard good things about St. John Cantius, both for the TLM and the Latin Novus Ordo (frankly, it doesn't matter to me, as long as I find a Mass that is reverent). Do you know of any TLM churches that are closer to the Northwestern University campus?
And yes, you're right, communion with Rome is pretty much the most important thing for a Catholic church. I wish more self-styled Traditionalists would realize that.
He was being sarcastic. According to his profile info., he is a seminarian, and he is not overly simpathetic to the traditional movement (but doesn't seem to be a fanatic in the other direction, either).
I can almost say whole-heartedly that removing the tridentine mass as sole form of the Roman Rite was one of the biggest mistakes our church ever made. There was only one DECENT excuse and it was the language-understanding problem. This is 2008! Most people nowadays can read well enough to read the English translation of the Latin in the missal.
The Latin issue is actually of minimal importance. Ever been to an "Anglican Use" mass? A straight trans to the vernacular of the trad mass (with everyting else in place) would appeal to you very well.
I would agree that Latin isn't the most important issue. I would also say that I'd be more willing to attend a Tridentine mass in English than a Novus Ordo. But Latin is still certainly something the church should strive to bring back someday, even if just in the ordinaries of the mass like the Gloria and Agnus Dei.
The attempt of perversion from hippies, homosexuals, liberals and communists to the Catholic Church only can be stopped by going back to the basics: Traditional mass and old uses and costumes, more reverence and more involvement. Hispanics are living the flock by the thousands. Let´s take out the bad apples and a new beginning.
I cut my teeth on the Tridentine Mass in seminary in the 50s and 60s. It was wonderful. But it relevance was over centuries before.
It isn't actually conservative, it was a Medieval creation and perversion of the real worship of the early church.
Only truly historically challenged people could believe it has anything to do with Jesus. Jesus would be appalled by its utter removal from real life and his actual teachings.
Well, you don't have to wish for anyone's death, but the natural course of all men has opened up a new window for reform. The brutal dictatorship of the revolutionaries is at least over.
Study up a bit more friend and ponder what yo are saying. The prayers of the mass developed organically as Christians pondered and delved into the meaning of basic concepts. Much like languages, literature, music, architecture in general develope step by step, from simple forms to more and more elaborate expressions of basic truths and concepts. The trad mass was not thought up in a day, and the prayers of the mass are anything but a perversion of early Christianity.
My sincere THANKS to all those Traditional Catholics who have braved dreadful abuse over 40 years from RABID anti traditional everything, Bishops and priests.
I'm not out to offend anybody here, but if the self-described "conservatives" had actually stepped up to the plate for the traditional mass years ago we would have had a stronger and united coalition for Catholic orthodoxy, and the Lefebvre tragedy could have been avoided. Mother Angelica and her people should have been respectfully requesting the old mass rather than dressing up a Novus Ordo to resemble it. Folks, you got the real thing right there (1962 Missal). Hindsight is 20/20 though.
Well done, I just dont understand why the "modern catholics" are so anti anything that is "real Catholic" perhaps they will lwave and go th the episcopal church...its really where they belong. Pax
Ah the last refuge of someone who has lost,, name calling and challenging one's manhood. Your a brave man throwing insults over the internet, I can see you are very angry.. did I offend your good liberal sense,, did my intolerance make you upset?? Too Bad Little Liberal,,now go home and practice your diversity..
The Devil hates Latin.............True Catholics have bigger issues with people who are stuck in a time warp...pre the 1960's..........The Catholic Church would be a lot better it traditionalists would go form their own church. They have been nothing but a thorn in the side of the Church, personified in the heretical Lefevre, and Opus Dei.
Pardon me, Father, but the last two Popes have praised Opus Dei. There are many, many traditionally minded Catholics(like me) who attend Novus Ordo Masses but wish desperatly that they could walk into any Catholic Church and be sure of what they were getting- sacred and holy celebration of the most divine thing we can experience on Earth- Mass. Lefevre is not a heretic, he is a schismatic. He did not deny the Papacy, and I don't think he denied the validity of the Novus Ordo. He is not so bad.
No actually you Liberals who have corrupted the Church with your clown masses and guitar playing nuns and the "spirit of Vatican II should leave the Church. It is you that has caused the decline in vocations, drop in Mass Attendence, sexual scandal, effeminate priests, I stand and accuse you father and every other liberal who has decimated my CHurch, may God's wrath come down on you and avenge your 40years of destruction
This is what we "Liberals" have come to expect of people of your ilk. Of course there was never clerical sexual abuse in the Church pre forty years ago.
Wake up and stop being so blinkered, close minded and intolerant. How dare you accuse me of anything! "Let they who are without sin cast the first stone" Opps thats a quote from another liberal of His time, Jesus Christ!
AH yes Tolerance the end all be all word of the modern liberals and I will accuse you and I will Judge. Let me give you another quote from Our Divine Savior "do not think i have come to bring peace on the earth. i did not come to bring peace, but a sword." I am geared up for battle
Let me tell you what I have come to expect from you Liberals.. mealy mouthed sermons diversity and tolerance, but nothing about moral teachings of the Church,
Please dont, I dont the prayers of Liberals who got us into this mess, with their Spirit of Vatican II nonsense....God Bless Pope Benedict may his reign be long,, may he purge the Liberals out of the Church forever
How dare you! Pope Benedict is a good man and as a Priest I have promised him my respect and obedience as a Priest. Thankfully he has not imposed the Tridentine Mass on us!
I've always found "traditional " catholics so full of anger, that they miss the point of what the true spirit of Christianity, being a follower of Christ is all about. Its certainly not about keeeping pithy rules and regulations about liturgy and its celebration, nuns wearing veils and priests wearing collars
SO to you the reenactment of Christ's sacrifice a Calvary is pithy?? hmmm as Liberal you have managed to assault every tradition of the Church and replacement them with warm feelings and hugs... how many souls have been lost due to your negligence you will have a lot answer for,,Yes Christ will Judge you and will be intolerant...We trads are filled with anger because of Priests like you
If you chose to read my comment properly I said rules and regulations are pithy, not the Mass itself............Typical traditonal type person blinkered and close minded like the Pharisees of old. If Jesus were around in flesh today you would probably crucify him again for breaking rules. As the Lord said himself "What I want is mercy, not sacrifice", my friend you are so hard hearted and twisted in anger, you seem to have forgotten that!
No if Christ were return today I would bow down before him, you as a liberal would probably try explain how important diversity is in church
You are right I am hard hearted, against liberalism which corrupted not only the Church but society.. lets sum up what you helped cause contraception, abortion, destruction of the family, now sodomite marriage. You guys would not know sin, if it kicked you in the teeth. You call me "closed minded" you are so open minded your brains fell out
You just don't get it. I would welcome anyone into the church, after all my Lord and Master asosiated with sinners. If were attended the Eucharist yesterday; then again you probably didn't because it would have challenged you to look beyond the Priests back and the mantilla mafia, you would have heard the Lord say "I came to call sinners, not the virtuous" The last part of your mark was unwarranted, and infanitle for any adult debate!
You would welcome anyone into the church, except for those who hold tradition dear and wish to receive communion kneeling. I can see you a thin skinned little liberal, who dish out the insults but cant take em. The difference between me and liberals is that when I sin I need to go to confession and repent, when a liberal sins he thinks he's a victim, and wants to go to therapy to have therapist tell he has not sinned and that the Church is oppressive with its moral teachings.
Obviously you do need a therapist, but thats your decision! I hold a degree in psycholog........MMmmmmmm man of forty talking about liturgy with bells and smells....sound like repressed homosexuality, maybe thats an issue you need to deal with......and dont be ashamed your here, your queer and praising Jesus
You are very nasty and bigoted man indeed! Whatever the hell you believe in - it aint making you a nice or generous hearted person. Ive met pagans with more charity!
I think, Father, that when there is co-operation with tradtional and modern catholics then we will all see Christ. I'm a traditional Catholic, but am forced to attend a liturgically abusive Novus Ordo mass becuase of a modern diocese that doesn't even have so much as a latin Novus Ordo. I admit, traditional Catholics can get hardheaded at times, but like modern Catholics all we want is liturgy that spiritually moves us to worship God. Sadly, you see alot more bias againsed traditional catholics.
I think that with this Motu Proprio, things will be rapidly improving for Catholics, including for priests who like the old mass (and who don't want to be in traditionalist orders), and seminarians in diocesan institutions and regular religous congregations. At least that is my hope.
Goodness gracious, we must never allow those horrid clown masses to happen again. Oh, how I love the old traditional Mass. That was the Mass that all our marvelous Saints beleived in, you know.
Funny how you call me a "neo nazi bigot" simply because I made a statement of fact - that a section of (Talmudic) Jews and freemasonry are the infiltrators. Does that not tell us how everyone is conditioned not to criticise this group? I wonder why that could be? Jewish intellectuals and banks are the brains behind Communism and Nazism. You need to come out of the fog you are in and wake up, for the sake of your eternal soul.
I didn't look, but I hope you are not French. The traditional movement has its heart in France, and I don't want Catholic resurgence efforts anywhere ruined by your CRAP obsession with Jewish domination nonsense. The Church is not damaged by Jews, but by Christians who pollute the Church by not living up to their Baptism and the Sacramental life and then have to find a scapegoat to blame the world's problems on. Why don't you get lost and not bring the Church down with your GARBAGE.
Our Bishop has done NOTHING to incorporate Motu Proprio. It's SAD!! I want this Mass! We've made many requests since the Holy Father urged its continued use.
My bishop has said nothing, either...and I travel to a neighboring diocese which is a bit more "generous." I cannot afford to go nearly as often as I would like! Keep praying as if it was all up to God, and acting as if it was all up to you! God Bless.
You are wrong sedevacantist. "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." We have a pope. You sede's have no apostolic continuation.
Benedict is a heretic. He was one of the theologians behind the heretical Vatican 2, he helped Paul VI create the faith wrecking protestant Novus Ordo. He prays with Jews and Moslems (heresy), He approved of a "consecration" of a "bishop" (the Italian Forte) who wrote a book denying Our Lord's resurrection (apostasy), He praised Martin Luther (an Augustinian monk heretic who had 3 different women and rewrote the NT.) That's just a "taster" sample of his faithlessness.
If we separate from Pope B XVI, we are ommiting the same mistake as Luther. Let's pray for the Pope and be patient. The church is in an internal struggle and this motu propio is against several prelates will. We own that to Pope B XVI. pEACE be with you!
Vatican II is not heretical! IT must be understood in light of the councils before it. What you see is NOT Vatican II, but rather what happens when you let the bishops' control the individual rubrics of the Mass.
There isn't much hope for you folks. We get a Pope who has long been sympathetic to the traditional movement and has started the process of re-evaluation of the recent past without blinders, and you call him a heretic since you think the infallible and indefectible Catholic Church can go without a pope indefinitely.
But we haven't got the real thing... Benedict XVI is a destroyer of the faith. Read his writings. He is a heretic. The tridentine mass of St Pius V was never to be revoked. The only way to understand what has happened is to study sedevacantism and to pray the full rosary daily. Our Lady will guide you to Christ and he will open your eyes. Pray Holy Spirit, guide us in this age of apostasy and indifferentism.
The Novus Ordo Mass is OK if done right. Just avoid excesses like dancing, etc. Think how Novus Ordo Mass is done on EWTN by those Franciscan priests. I attended a Novus Ordo Mass done solemnly at a Jesuit retreat, it was so MOVING it was the best Mass I ever attended.
I'm sorry, but I've spammed everything NoseGrinder has written because it's useless bashing.
A few words: if you hate Catholics so much, why are you even watching things like "Motu Proprio Deo Gratias"? people like you hate Catholics so much, you're probably going to convert soon. ppl--the best way to annoy NoseGrinder is to ignore him. just point out that Elizabeth I killed more Catholics than Bloody Mary, AND the Spanish Inquisition killed Protestants COMBINED.
Hey, dude, did you know that jews are really space aliens from the evil planet Zog come to take over the world? When no one is looking they turn back to their real appearance - lizards with red eyes and green skin. I've got documentary evidence. hahaha! Now.... go take your meds, or I'll report you to the nurse.
Jews and freemasons infiltrated Rome, did they, Mr NeoNazi Bigot? Please tell us more, I could do with a laugh! Don't hold back now, give us all you've got!! haha!
Thank you for this video. This is a perfect example as to how the Tridentine Mass will finally separate the true followers of the Roman Catholic Church and those who prefer to take the Protestant church service. It's time that the Catholic Church remove persons who abuse the holy liturgy!
And we are so much more civilized & merciful today, that when we feel that an innocent child may cause us expense or inconvenience, we have devised numerous ways of burning, poisoning, dismembering, virtually drawing & quartering, our own offspring within the womb - and we are a kinder, gentler civilization than those in the middle ages.
Avoiding the issue again I see. You really should be on the Jerry Springer show!! I thought the church should be setting an example of mercy, rather than a spectacle of cruelty for others to emulate!

In Novus Ordo Mass, or post Vatican II Mass, the vernacular Catholic Mass can be different down the street and has never been consistent anywhere I go.

i don't think so ..... think this the really beautiful thing of the mass is not the ritual itself is not how many times the priest make a reverence but the authority invested on him to do what he does wich is the most beautiful act of love. i'm agree to be aways aware when some priests are not making the things right but come on the latin is not a "lingua franca" anymore i know some prayers sound beautiful that way but it's not a book of magical spells the priest is reading.
Jav089 1 year ago
i'm a catholic too but what is with the Latin? why is so important i mean i am a law student it happens to be a really beautiful language and really important in legal studies, but in faith matters is it really important? that's when i'm not agree with the pro-tridentine mass that seems more like old catholics than real catholics, ore more- so like the pharisees from the times of our LORD.

Jav089 1 year ago
You are absolutely correct Jav089, the Holy Spirit is very much alive and present in the Catholic Church; only the Novus Ordo Sect isn't the Catholic Church, and never was, but the bastard child of "Vatican II". If the un-"Holy Father" is in fact, the Pope, he certainly doesn't act like one; more like a brothel keeper, with his oversight, or the lack thereof, of dissolute prelates and corrupt priests. So much for the "Church of the Poor", whose leaders act worse than corrupt Renaissance princes.

How can new churches built for the novus ordo be changed around ? The whole sanctuary would have to be changed I would think. People's Altars removed, steps changed, communion rails reinstalled etc.
luxor4213 2 years ago
But that is what happened when the Novus Ordo came out. Marble altars were removed and replaced with wooden tables, kneelers were removed, and the tabernacle was shoved in some corner. It has happened in the past.
MTheChequeGuy 2 years ago
What I meant is how can they have altars for both kinds of Masses in the same church.
luxor4213 2 years ago
The New Churches were bult specifically to accomadate only the Novus Ordo Mass, and prevent the original Mass from being said there. In fact these Churches with free-standing alters, removed tablernacles & confessional boxes etc, were designed and being built BEFORE the Novus Ordo was promulgated. The powers that be in the Vatican, knew exactly what they were doing!
iotaunam1 2 years ago
It is time for real Catholics to rightfully reclaim the authentic Catholic liturgy! It is long overdue for churches to look like churches one again, and for the sacred liturgy to take on it's CATHOLIC identity.
MTheChequeGuy 2 years ago
Those are very important things that one should take into consideration. However, the way one acts in church is not the church's fault. Anyone can do tha in the Latin Mass. These are things I don't care about, because compared to what actually happens in the Mass, these things are not important. Priests have the power to call down our Lord, Old Rite or New. If I am wrong in saying that the new rite is equal to the old, then let God judge me, either way I am thankful for the Eucahrist!
corpuschristi15 2 years ago
As a Catholic all I care about is what the church says. Whether we celebrate the Old Latin Version or the new version deemed by Vatican II then it is no real difference.
corpuschristi15 2 years ago 2
The Tridenitne (old Latin) is incomparable with the Novus Ordo (new verison).
dacatholicbandorgan 2 years ago 2
how so?
corpuschristi15 2 years ago

RomanCatholic01 2 years ago
Not sure where you get this idea about people who love the Tridentine Mass. I would say that you are really generalizing when lumping everyone who appreciates the Latin Mass into the same category ~ not to mention the fact that you're being uncharitable and judgemental.
RomanCatholic01 2 years ago
Pt 1
Nihil,
The Novus Ordo, properly celebrated, is valid, as is the Tridentine.
MattDCnMD 2 years ago
Just pray that the true mass is returned.
ShaD0w1181 2 years ago
Pt 2.

The devil wants that.
jimzz12 2 years ago
That would be "Vivat Jesus", with the -s of the nominatve. :) I just love Latin and I think it is a pity that the vernacular has replaced it. But I do agree with you that the language is the bathwater rather than the baby.

It is clear 90% of this video has NOTHING to do with the roman-catholic practice. It is an assembly of all sorts of denominations.
I'm happy with the new Vatican guidelines too, but this video is really misleading and does no right to the daily reality post-Vaticanum II.
Boerenfox 3 years ago
This video is a montage depiction of liturgical abuses which have been occurring over the past two decades in the Catholic Church. Clown Masses, liturgical dancing, disregard for proper form and sacred vessels (and the Eucharist Itself.) In the Lord's good time, things are improving. Note that the priestly orders who adhere to Church teaching are suffering no vocations crisis.
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago
I do not believe it, I'm sorry. I saw female priests, I saw 'liturgical clothes' which have little to do with neither the old nor the new roman missal. I saw 'priests' with rainbow-coloured stoles most likely officiating in gay-blessings, whatever.
Be honest: it is just a mix from all sort of denominations blended together and has nothing to do with real practice in the roman-catholic church.
Boerenfox 3 years ago
You stated "90%...has NOTHING to do with" Catholic practices. Unfortunately, 90% of the photos are taken from Catholic celebrations. The one with the clown priest may be Episcopalian, but I myself have attended a Catholic Youth Mass where clowns brought up the offertory gifts (including a mylar, heart-shaped helium balloon) and danced with candles around the altar. Sadly, these abuses have occurred over the past decade.
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago
Isn't every parish under supervision of a dean (from the deacanary), which on itself is under supervision of the (arch)bishop?
That is why I'm highly surprised with this video and can almost not believe it is roman-catholic. Any dean or bishop already would have placed that parish under their direct rule.
Boerenfox 3 years ago
Where have you been worshipping the past 20 years? We have bishops who celebrate gay Masses and call for women priests. The clown Mass I attended was celebrated by the bishop (although he seemed displeased at the demonstration). Our priests and bishops need our prayers ~ and especially so does the Holy Father.
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago
Bishops who celebrate gay masses and call for woman priests?
In the roman-catholic church?
I have simply been to church in my own diocese (Roermond, province Limbourg, in the Netherlands). My country is known as very tolerant in allowing equal gender marriages, abortion, euthansasia, then use of soft drugs, whatever.
But in all this modernity the roman-catholic church has always followed Rome's guidelines. Very much to the dissatisfaction of the liberal majority.
Boerenfox 3 years ago
Please understand, I am not saying that the bishops or priests have performed these liturgical abuses "with the approval of the Magisterium," but many have interjected their own innovations and nuances into the Holy Sacrifice, and a return to more traditional means of worship is welcomed by many of us who find these innovations to be vapid.
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago

MckyJcksn 3 years ago 2
Absolutely agree. I am simply glad that the Tridentine is no longer branded as a "banned" rite. And unfortunately, liturgical abuses were becoming quite rampant, even among our bishops! I am hopeful that the dignity of the Novus Ordo will also be more widely realized because of the Motu Proprio. The Mass is a gift from Christ to His people. We should always be mindful of this, regardless of which rite we celebrate.
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago
RomanCatholic01 3 years ago
That's a very good point.
I'm attending my first TLM next Sunday. I won't be able to attend every week, which is unfortunate, since my parish uses quite a few "innovations." But I'm going to college in Chicago next year, so hopefully I'll have more options than I do here in Tucson.
MckyJcksn 3 years ago
If your looking for a good place to go to a Tridentine mass is Chicago, try the Shrine of Christ the King. It's a shrine/"parish" of Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. They are a society of apostolic life dedicated to the preservation of Christ's reign in the world and the preservation of Catholic tradition. Also, they're in full communion with Rome. (Always a "must-have" in a Catholic church haha)
Catholicteen15 3 years ago

Catholicteen15 3 years ago
The Latin issue is actually of minimal importance. Ever been to an "Anglican Use" mass? A straight trans to the vernacular of the trad mass (with everyting else in place) would appeal to you very well.
dbouffard25 3 years ago
I would agree that Latin isn't the most important issue. I would also say that I'd be more willing to attend a Tridentine mass in English than a Novus Ordo. But Latin is still certainly something the church should strive to bring back someday, even if just in the ordinaries of the mass like the Gloria and Agnus Dei.

The attempt of perversion from hippies, homosexuals, liberals and communists to the Catholic Church only can be stopped by going back to the basics: Traditional mass and old uses and costumes, more reverence and more involvement. Hispanics are living the flock by the thousands. Let´s take out the bad apples and a new beginning.
ixtoc999 3 years ago
I cut my teeth on the Tridentine Mass in seminary in the 50s and 60s. It was wonderful. But it relevance was over centuries before.
It isn't actually conservative, it was a Medieval creation and perversion of the real worship of the early church.
Only truly historically challenged people could believe it has anything to do with Jesus. Jesus would be appalled by its utter removal from real life and his actual teachings.

I tried to simply leave a question mark indicating incredulity...however youtube requires longer comments.

It's a good thing that hippies like this are dying off. Perhaps people can learn what true Catholicism is.

Well, you don't have to wish for anyone's death, but the natural course of all men has opened up a new window for reform. The brutal dictatorship of the revolutionaries is at least over.
dbouffard25 3 years ago
Study up a bit more friend and ponder what yo are saying. The prayers of the mass developed organically as Christians pondered and delved into the meaning of basic concepts. Much like languages, literature, music, architecture in general develope step by step, from simple forms to more and more elaborate expressions of basic truths and concepts. The trad mass was not thought up in a day, and the prayers of the mass are anything but a perversion of early Christianity.

My sincere THANKS to all those Traditional Catholics who have braved dreadful abuse over 40 years from RABID anti traditional everything, Bishops and priests.
CatholicCrusaders 3 years ago
I'm not out to offend anybody here, but if the self-described "conservatives" had actually stepped up to the plate for the traditional mass years ago we would have had a stronger and united coalition for Catholic orthodoxy, and the Lefebvre tragedy could have been avoided. Mother Angelica and her people should have been respectfully requesting the old mass rather than dressing up a Novus Ordo to resemble it. Folks, you got the real thing right there (1962 Missal). Hindsight is 20/20 though.
dbouffard25 3 years ago

I say this as a Catholic Priest
revdec 4 years ago

Smonte19 4 years ago
This is what we "Liberals" have come to expect of people of your ilk. Of course there was never clerical sexual abuse in the Church pre forty years ago.
Wake up and stop being so blinkered, close minded and intolerant. How dare you accuse me of anything! "Let they who are without sin cast the first stone" Opps thats a quote from another liberal of His time, Jesus Christ!
revdec 4 years ago
AH yes Tolerance the end all be all word of the modern liberals and I will accuse you and I will Judge. Let me give you another quote from Our Divine Savior "do not think i have come to bring peace on the earth. i did not come to bring peace, but a sword." I am geared up for battle
Let me tell you what I have come to expect from you Liberals.. mealy mouthed sermons diversity and tolerance, but nothing about moral teachings of the Church,
Smonte19 4 years ago
I will pray for you....
revdec 4 years ago
Please dont, I dont the prayers of Liberals who got us into this mess, with their Spirit of Vatican II nonsense....God Bless Pope Benedict may his reign be long,, may he purge the Liberals out of the Church forever
Smonte19 4 years ago
How dare you! Pope Benedict is a good man and as a Priest I have promised him my respect and obedience as a Priest. Thankfully he has not imposed the Tridentine Mass on us!
I've always found "traditional " catholics so full of anger, that they miss the point of what the true spirit of Christianity, being a follower of Christ is all about. Its certainly not about keeeping pithy rules and regulations about liturgy and its celebration, nuns wearing veils and priests wearing collars
revdec 4 years ago
SO to you the reenactment of Christ's sacrifice a Calvary is pithy?? hmmm as Liberal you have managed to assault every tradition of the Church and replacement them with warm feelings and hugs... how many souls have been lost due to your negligence you will have a lot answer for,,Yes Christ will Judge you and will be intolerant...We trads are filled with anger because of Priests like you
Smonte19 4 years ago
If you chose to read my comment properly I said rules and regulations are pithy, not the Mass itself............Typical traditonal type person blinkered and close minded like the Pharisees of old. If Jesus were around in flesh today you would probably crucify him again for breaking rules. As the Lord said himself "What I want is mercy, not sacrifice", my friend you are so hard hearted and twisted in anger, you seem to have forgotten that!
revdec 4 years ago
No if Christ were return today I would bow down before him, you as a liberal would probably try explain how important diversity is in church
You are right I am hard hearted, against liberalism which corrupted not only the Church but society.. lets sum up what you helped cause contraception, abortion, destruction of the family, now sodomite marriage. You guys would not know sin, if it kicked you in the teeth. You call me "closed minded" you are so open minded your brains fell out
Smonte19 4 years ago
You just don't get it. I would welcome anyone into the church, after all my Lord and Master asosiated with sinners. If were attended the Eucharist yesterday; then again you probably didn't because it would have challenged you to look beyond the Priests back and the mantilla mafia, you would have heard the Lord say "I came to call sinners, not the virtuous" The last part of your mark was unwarranted, and infanitle for any adult debate!
revdec 4 years ago
You would welcome anyone into the church, except for those who hold tradition dear and wish to receive communion kneeling. I can see you a thin skinned little liberal, who dish out the insults but cant take em. The difference between me and liberals is that when I sin I need to go to confession and repent, when a liberal sins he thinks he's a victim, and wants to go to therapy to have therapist tell he has not sinned and that the Church is oppressive with its moral teachings.
Smonte19 4 years ago
Obviously you do need a therapist, but thats your decision! I hold a degree in psycholog........MMmmmmmm man of forty talking about liturgy with bells and smells....sound like repressed homosexuality, maybe thats an issue you need to deal with......and dont be ashamed your here, your queer and praising Jesus
revdec 4 years ago
You are very nasty and bigoted man indeed! Whatever the hell you believe in - it aint making you a nice or generous hearted person. Ive met pagans with more charity!
ThorSpirit 3 years ago
I think, Father, that when there is co-operation with tradtional and modern catholics then we will all see Christ. I'm a traditional Catholic, but am forced to attend a liturgically abusive Novus Ordo mass becuase of a modern diocese that doesn't even have so much as a latin Novus Ordo. I admit, traditional Catholics can get hardheaded at times, but like modern Catholics all we want is liturgy that spiritually moves us to worship God. Sadly, you see alot more bias againsed traditional catholics.
Catholicteen15 4 years ago 3
I think that with this Motu Proprio, things will be rapidly improving for Catholics, including for priests who like the old mass (and who don't want to be in traditionalist orders), and seminarians in diocesan institutions and regular religous congregations. At least that is my hope.
dbouffard25 3 years ago 2
Anyone posting that the Novus Ordo is an invalid Mass will be blocked & their comment removed, so don't waste your fingertips' energy.

Goodness gracious, we must never allow those horrid clown masses to happen again. Oh, how I love the old traditional Mass. That was the Mass that all our marvelous Saints beleived in, you know.

May all clown "messes" go back where they came from. The truth remains in the traditional Latin Mass. Laus tibi Christi!!

RabbieMcM 4 years ago
I didn't look, but I hope you are not French. The traditional movement has its heart in France, and I don't want Catholic resurgence efforts anywhere ruined by your CRAP obsession with Jewish domination nonsense. The Church is not damaged by Jews, but by Christians who pollute the Church by not living up to their Baptism and the Sacramental life and then have to find a scapegoat to blame the world's problems on. Why don't you get lost and not bring the Church down with your GARBAGE.
dbouffard25 3 years ago
Our Bishop has done NOTHING to incorporate Motu Proprio. It's SAD!! I want this Mass! We've made many requests since the Holy Father urged its continued use.
Btw, our Bishop is CHOBY of Nashville.
cstina 4 years ago
My bishop has said nothing, either...and I travel to a neighboring diocese which is a bit more "generous." I cannot afford to go nearly as often as I would like! Keep praying as if it was all up to God, and acting as if it was all up to you! God Bless.
RomanCatholic01 4 years ago
You are wrong sedevacantist. "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." We have a pope. You sede's have no apostolic continuation.
giostheman 4 years ago
Benedict is a heretic. He was one of the theologians behind the heretical Vatican 2, he helped Paul VI create the faith wrecking protestant Novus Ordo. He prays with Jews and Moslems (heresy), He approved of a "consecration" of a "bishop" (the Italian Forte) who wrote a book denying Our Lord's resurrection (apostasy), He praised Martin Luther (an Augustinian monk heretic who had 3 different women and rewrote the NT.) That's just a "taster" sample of his faithlessness.
RabbieMcM 4 years ago
If we separate from Pope B XVI, we are ommiting the same mistake as Luther. Let's pray for the Pope and be patient. The church is in an internal struggle and this motu propio is against several prelates will. We own that to Pope B XVI. pEACE be with you!
ixtoc999 4 years ago
Vatican II is not heretical! IT must be understood in light of the councils before it. What you see is NOT Vatican II, but rather what happens when you let the bishops' control the individual rubrics of the Mass.
DrPohteeyeh 4 years ago 2
There isn't much hope for you folks. We get a Pope who has long been sympathetic to the traditional movement and has started the process of re-evaluation of the recent past without blinders, and you call him a heretic since you think the infallible and indefectible Catholic Church can go without a pope indefinitely.
dbouffard25 3 years ago

RomanCatholic01 4 years ago
Avoiding the issue again I see. You really should be on the Jerry Springer show!! I thought the church should be setting an example of mercy, rather than a spectacle of cruelty for others to emulate!
