the one thing that drives me nuts about this car is the price. We got ours (RX350 cuz the hybrid doesnt work well in a cold climate) with the ultra premium package, and every possible option. we live in Canada, BC to be exact and after taxes it was about $80,000. Great car super features and all but really its a baby Lexus at a big Lexus price.

RX is no where near the quitenest Lexus Yet, I love Lexus but this guy is just pure stupid, i wonder what he'd say to customer who's buyin a LS600hL. haha

btw that beach is really not beautiful at all, it's no difference than what u see if u just drive along the US west coast, if u wanna see truly beeautiful beach, come to Vancouver, take a look at English bay and Spanish bank, I guess those two guys would just go blind if they think that beach is anything even close to being beautiful, lol

I am buying one of these cars this week. I have done a lot of research and honestly, this is the best SUV on the market. I really liked the BMW x5, but it is overpriced and not very reliable over a 5 year period. Value and gas mileage are important too, so I am going to the RX.

the mdx is nice!! enjoy your car. I love my RX mostly because of the computer/smart access features. It's really a convenient SUV. I bet you can get similar features on the MDX.

Urm, a BMW X5 unreliable? I have one. It works perfectly. Best SUV in the market? I question your researching skills. In terms of gas millage, the xdrive35 will do 24mpg, which is not far off the 26 this Lexus does. In addition, you get a much better drive. With all these things said, I think the Lexus is a nice car, but it is for the older population who will appreciate its comfort.

You're entitled to your opinion. I made my claims based on research and discussion with former bmw owners. I have seen the "older population" sitting behind the wheel of the x5 as well, so I don't think what you're saying makes sense. Whatever car you (not you darzrav but the general shopper) buy, it has to be something YOU love, not something that you assess because of what others think/drive.

I agree with you. Where i live, the older population do enjoy their mercs and lexus. It has literally hit a point where its stereotypical. I see more people in the late 20's to the mid 40's in BMW's. I guess i among them have fallen into the general trend. I personally wouldnt recomend a X5 to an older gentleman. My dad for example has a back injury. Driving a BMW would be the last thing i would want for him. They are not as comfortable as a Rx but are in fact more fun.

Mate of mine has one as well, it broke down on highway at midnight... some fucking fuse issue, serious enough to put him off the road for an hour, how annoying and ambarassing it had to be. car was just 3yo at the time

Damn, cant wait to get the RX 350 i went on a test drive yest. and it was amazing..The 450h is a way more quiet ride but its not really worth it to get a hybrid...i would recommend everybody who is interested in buying a new car to check the RX 350..after going for a test drive and checking out all the features it has i hate driving my old car anymore... i have honda CRV and am planning on buying the 350 in a couple of days...

I like the start/stop engine button. Really cool feature. just sux that when ur parked somewhere and u turn off the engine, u cant listen to radio becaz that button stops it completely :T_T:

you know how you have to press on the brake before pushing the button to start the car? if you dont want to start the car but still want the electrics on, just dont press on the brake and push the start/stop button.

So much little details went into this car. I believe that's where u can find how well build a car is...not in the most notable features...but the features and details that people over look.

The funny part is....this is only one car from the Lexus lineup...imagine the rest.

The platform is not exactly the same but they are similar.

The RX platform has be reworked and better built up to Lexus standards compared to the Venza platform.

It would be pretty dumb to say they are the exact same.
