  • LOVE THE QUEEN♥

  • The level of opulence is staggering and grotesque.

  • @vidaliasweet

It comes from a time when the UK was the richest country in the world.

  • Queen Elizabeth II is reptilian alien

  • snipe that cows brains oot

  • Is the crown *really* necessary? lol...

  • How sad, how completely and utterly sad that in this day and age we still have monarchy.

If monarchy is rooted in divine sanction I wonder how the queen feels about Richard Dawkins.

  • @PsySwitch1983

The monarchy isn't rooted in 'divine sanction', it hasn't been for over 300 years. The Queen reigns through an act of Parliament, not divine right.

  • @PsySwitch1983 Disguting vile republicans hate tradition! CUNT

  • the crown is amazing...

  • A lot of people think that Queen Elizabeth is very cold hearted. I don´t think so. I think she is a royal who put her personal interests and emotions behind the interest of the monarchy. She only wants the welfare of the british empire!!!

She has minted the last 6 decades of her regency with consistency and this is very important in our todays world. I have a lot of respect for this woman, this Queen, this grandmother and woman. Best wishes to the british royals from Germany

  • @GermanRoyalist92 shut the fuck up you royalist scum

  • nice hat you fuckin cuntrag!!

  • @obamasuckss Now I don't understand British politics or know anything about the queen... I just ran across this video... What is wrong with the Queen? Why is she a cuntrag?

Awesome channel name by the way

  • If it IS true, then for all practical purposes, Queen Elizabeth is the second most powerful person in the world behind the President of the United States. Possibly even more powerful because She has the power to dissolve Parlaiment in the event of a no-majority vote or an ultra-radical (either left or right wing) government takes power. The U.S. Constitution provides for no such ruling by a President.

  • I read somewhere that the Queen is the final approving authority for appointments to Army and RAF Chief of Staff, Chief of the General Staff (Equivalent to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs) and Chief of Royal Naval Operations. She is also the approval authority for all promotions to Lieutenant General, General, and Field Marshal (wartime). Furthermore, she is the final approving authority, even over the PM, for use of Nuclear weapons. Is this really true?

  • @TheSirisaac52672

The last bit isn't true. Use of nuclear weapons is the sole decision of the Prime Minister, but the other things in theory require approval from the Queen, but these days the monarch is just a rubber stamp. The power of the crown is delegated to the Prime Minister. This means that the British Prime Minister is one of the most powerful heads of government in the democratic world - in terms of control over the UK.

  • @TheSirisaac52672 The Queen also through her vice-regal may sack a prime minister in a commonwealth country as happened in Australia when Gough Whitlam was sacked by Governor General Sir John Kerr acting on behalf of The Queen. All dominion heads of government are appointed by The Queen. The English system of government and democracy is by far the best in the world.

  • fuck tha government the queen is part of the new world order shit

  • new national anthem ...God slave our evil queen, satans long serving queen, god slave our queen.

  • Was it this Queen who went out in disguise?

  • Long live the Queen!

  • this whole think makes me sick to the stomach.

  • @RichardElden Nuke is slang for an atomic bomb, what the fuck do you think "Nuclear Nonproliferation" is..?

    you fucking uneducated monkey!

  • the only country ever to use a nuke is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.. she didn't mention disarming them..

  • she is just a puppet.

  • The Queen is AWESOME...,.God Bless you, Queen Elizabeth

  • You take a mortal man,

And put him in main control

    Watch him become a god,

    Watch peoples heads a'roll

  • The Queen's voice is too pure to be heard spouting this political duckspeak.

We need less democracy at the top.

  • shit i thought learning American history was tough ... I cant imagine what UK highschool students go through... fucking centuries stacked on centuries of history.. its so vast and amazing its such a intense concept.

  • @ThowHilton They don't teach British history in the UK.

  • @JuanMacready They teach Scottish history in Scotland!

  • @colotron Including the Battle of Culloden?

  • wow. Try using Google Translate Audio ... its terrible (and terribly hilarious) how it messes up Her Majesty's speech

  • Seriously, how does her neck cope with that thing sitting on it?

  • Get out of the trone and go order some chips for dinner, bitch!

  • i live in autralia, but i need yu help now, please save my life from, it is huge corruption in all australia between the government and the police and the courts, now the government with the police like to kill me by using X Ray spy camera working by the radiation, those spy cameras can see the skeleton and to see me nicked all the time, they all the police with the government trying to humiliate me and torturing me to kill me to hide all this corruption from the public, even the governor knows

  • @nandofar100 Sir, I suggest you see a psychiatrist. You are exhibiting the classic symptoms of a schizophrenic paranoid. I implore you to find help.

  • not to bash cause i love the queen, she is precious. its just some good lolz that she is talking about the economy being in the crapper as she wears a good couple million on her head lol

  • @zacharytrespass Yes but the Crown Jewels belong to the State.

  • Is the Queen is apostate? has the Queen mocked GOD by failing in her duty bound Oath to defend the CHRISTIAN GOSPEL as per her promise in 1953 on the Great BIBLE?

the aborted babies the sexual perversion the growth of Islam all signed into LAW by her art testimony against her May GOD ALMIGHTY HAVE MERCY ON HER SOUL

  • The global drug trade is run by puppet masters in the Corporation of the City of London. In Britain, the MI6 drug money is laundered through the Bank of England, Barclays Bank, Jardine Mattheson, and others. Henry Keswick was chairman of Jardine Matheson, one of the largest drug trafficking operations in the world. His brother John Keswick was chairman of the Bank of England.

Former United States President and former head of the CIA, President George HW Bush is America's leading Drug baron.

  • The banking houses privileged to meet with the Rothschilds to set the price of Gold internationally are known as the Club of Five. In 1958 they were Johnson Matthey, Sharps Pixley, Mocatta and Goldsmid, Samuel Montegu, and NM Rothschild.

  • Comment removed

  • This global drugs trade is controlled by British intelligence; MI5 and MI6 are lords of the global drug trade worth at least £500 billion a year. The CIA operates under orders from British intelligence and was created by British intelligence in 1947. The CIA today is still loyal to the international bankers based in the City of London and the global elite aristocratic families like the Rothchilds and the Windsor's. Since its inception MI6 has always brought drugs into Britain.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson

You have no evidence whatsoever for your claims.

  • The British CROWN (Note the Capitalization) is the Corporation of the City of London, which is a Cartel of 13 Banks in London, including the Bank of England.

  • The British Crown taxes Americans illegally through the IRS.

  • It is amazing how few grasped the significance of Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan being knighted on September 22, 2002. British agent, Henry Kissinger too was knighted as was Colin Powell for his futherance of the Afghanistan Opium traffick.

  • It's amazing how few grasped the significance of Federal Reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan being knighted by the Queen of Britain on September 26, 2002. British agent, Henry Kissinger too was knighted as was Colin Powell for his furtherence of the Afghanistan Opium traffick.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson

Do you have any evidence for your claims?

  • The Queen's grand vizier, Lord Evelyn De Rothschild is lord mayor of the Corporation of the City of London, financial capital of the entire world who maintains Africa as a feudal utopia.

In 2002 a helicopter carrying California gubenatorial candidate, Arnold Schwarzenegger; financier, Warren Buffet, Chairman of De Beers Diamond Mines, Nicky Oppenheimer; and Rothschild-agent and World Bank president, James Wolfensohn, touched down on the ancestral estate of Jacob Rothschild, Waddesdon Castle.

  • World Monarch:

Crown Council: World's Richest, Most Powerful Families

    Committee of 300: Powerful Sub-Families

Think Tanks: the Round Table Group

World Financial Control: IMF, World Bank, Central Banks, Tax Revenue, Interest Revenue, Bank for International Settlements,

Corporations: JP Morgan Chase, AT&T, Exxon, NYSE

World Population Control: Churches, Governments, Secret Service, Military, Courts, Prisons, Schools,

    Media,

Debt Slaves: Taxes, School, Labour, Retirement

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson I'd say the tables have been somewhat turned thanks to Thatcher's privatization. BP now controls most of the "crowns" activity as they do in the U.S. through subsidiaries or directly. But, yes, they probably just sold their interests to themselves. Nepotism, plutocracy, aristocracy is the name of the game. People are just getting this thanks to the oil spill. Their behavior speaks for itself. But I love how FoX news (Murcoch's toy) tries to divert everyones attention.

  • @qigong1001m

    So True.

Antigua Bank is squarely under the thumb of the British Monarchy. Much of the financial derivatives operation is run from her offshore banking haven in the Cayman Islands.

  • The United States is a Crown (Temple) Corporation of the British Crown.

  • "Anglo-Persian Petroleum."

  • Prince Philip personally ordered the assassination of Princess Diana.

  • Queen Elizabeth's great grandfather, King Edward VII installed the United States "Federal" Reserve system through King Edward's personal agent, Jacob Schiff.

The "Federal" Reserve is not a national institution but is in fact a private banking cartel and the Sister of the Bank of England.

  • In 1975, Queen Elizabeth II overthrew the government of Gough Whitlam, Prime Minister of Australia through her Governor-General, John Kerr, because his land policies were a threat to her control of British-Australian Mining Company, Rio Tinto.

The Governor-General serves as a Vice-Regal representative of the Queen in the Commonwealth. The Governor-General of Canada is Michaëlle Jean.

  • The Queen's Crown Prerogatives include the right to:

    Declare war,

Choose and appoint all commanders and officers by land, sea, and air,

Convoke, adjourn, remove, and dissolve parliament,

Dismiss the Prime Minister and choose his replacement

    Choose and appoint all judges, councillors, officers of state, magistrates;

    Bestow all public honours, or create peerage for the House of Lords or bestow an order of chivalry;

    Conclude treaties;

    Initiate criminmal proceedings and bestow pardons;

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson

These days, the monarch only ever uses those powers on the advice of the Prime Minister.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan,

Actually, the Prime Minister is only a nominal leader. The government in the United Kingdom is the Queen and her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council; 500 people under the Queen run the British Empre, including the old Colonial Office, which was never disbanded. It is called the Overseas Development Office now. The Crown Agents who ran the colonies still function. They operate whole countries around the world.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson All that experience for colonization doesn't just disappear. I'm not surprised that multinational/Brits have a hand in influencing foreign affairs. They crap in our oceans and fix the mess on their own terms. They are somehow allowed to contribute to political campaigns in America, and somehow make a tremendous amount of money. He who controls the worlds resources controls the world. Cant wait till we go solar/wind. That will truly be the end of the Queen.

  • @qigong1001,

The Queen is the prime shareholder in Archer-Daniels Midland and British-Australian mining company, Rio Tinto.

  • @qigong1001,

BP: British Petroleum is owned, if not controlled by the British Crown, a Trillion dollar enterprise first establised as Anglo-Iranian Petroleum to advance the distance of British tankers in World War I. It is a Codeword for the country "Kuwait." To date, many of its gas stations read Q-8 (Kuwait).

It is proper that BP: British Petroleum manipulate matters so that Americans may pay four dollars per gallon at the British Monarchy-controlled gas pumps in the U.S.

  • @qigong1001,

George Bush Sr. brought the United States into the first Persian Gulf War in 1991 to protect British Petroleum (Kuwait). The Kuwaiti government is a front for British Petroleum, BP.

  • Nevertheless she is free to wield all of those powers on her own prerogative should she so choose. The only major powers she lacks are the power to pass legislation and the power to tax.

  • @Kampfer1445

In theory you are correct, however in practise things are quite different. If the Queen started to use her own prerogative, the PM would politely refuse to obey. If the Queen pushed the issue, parliament could remove her from the thrown, as it has done to three previous monarchs.

  • The Queen has the power to dissolve Parliament and to sack Prime Ministers. Also the monarch's orders to the Armed Forces completely supersede all other orders, and Parliament can not force the armed forces compliance to their will. To the best of my knowledge the only monarchs removed were Charles I, defeated in a Civil War, James II, because he was a Catholic and Edward VIII, who had married a divorcee and therefore could not head the Church of England. Royal prerogatives are legal powers.

  • @Kampfer1445

Again, in practise, a parliament dissolved against the will of the Prime Minister would continue to sit and their first duty would be to remove the monarch. I doubt the UK armed forces would ever side with a monarch who attempted to remove an elected PM and parliament.

The monarchs you mentioned were the ones I was talking about.

  • I can tell you for a fact that the armed forces would support the Monarch against Parliament; their oath is to Her Majesty, not to Parliament, and that would be the deciding factor. Any serviceman will tell you that the orders of the Monarch come over all others, without exception; they are Her Majesty's Armed Forces. The Parliament could continue to meet, but it could not pass laws since all legislation requires the Royal Seal to become law. The PM exercises HM's powers, he has none of his own.

  • @Kampfer1445

It would depend on the circumstances. If the monarch had removed the PM and parliament because they’d become tyrannical, I think the military would support the monarch, as would I. But I would expect an immediate general election would follow.

The Queen swore an oath to respect the laws and customs of the UK, including democracy. The military wouldn't support a monarch who removed democracy from the UK. If the Queen broke her oath the military would be entitled to break theirs.

  • The Monarch exercising his/her own powers would not be removing democracy from the UK, it is the Monarch's legal right to exercise those powers. It is after all her Realm. You stated that Parliament would refuse to allow the Monarch to exercise their Royal Prerogatives; that would be illegal and there is no reason to suppose that the armed forces would support Parliament in such an illegal course of action; that would be a violation of their Oath.

  • @Kampfer1445

This scenario is very unlikely as there is such a deep routed culture of democracy in the UK.

As I said, what the military would do in such a situation depends entirely on the circumstances. The armed forces would side with democracy over a monarch who went 'nuts'. They could justify this action by saying that the monarch had broken the coronation oath.

  • No one mentionaed anything about an insane Monarch. I was making the point was that the Royal Prerogatives are actual powers of the British Monarch that Parliament can not in fact prevent the exercise of. I also made the point that Parliament could not actually govern without the consent of the Monarch. The British Monarch is the most powerful Head of State in the Western World. The only things she can not do is raise or levy taxes or pass legislation, those are Parliament's only organic powers.

  • the britsh queen stoped having any power in 1960

  • @steamingpoopfart That is legally and actually false. In fact a good list of the Queen's Royal Prerogatives is listed by 'AnonymousWhitePers' under 'Highest Rated Comments on this page. The Power's wielded by the PM are the Queen's actual powers, so you are in effect saying that the PM's stopped having any power in 1960. The PM never had any power; when he is named HM's Prime Minister the Monarch bestows on the PM the routine exercise of the Monarch's Powers, which is what a UK PM wields.

  • @Kampfer1445 Parliament controls the armed forces, and has done since 1689.

  • Parliament does not control the armed forces. The PM and his cabinet do through the exercise of the Royal Prerogatives and Parliament can not hold the government to account in areas covered by the Royal Prerogatives. The monarch delegates the exercise of her powers to ministers appointed by her; she does not lose them and can exercise them personally. She appoints all ministers of the cabinet specifically to exercise the prerogatives IN HER NAME; the powers remain organic to the Monarch.

  • @Kampfer1445 Parliament has controlled the armed forces since William III signed his rights away in 1989. No British monarch has had any power at all since 1834.

  • Your claims have no basis whatsoever. The Royal Prerogatives are a constitutional fact in Great Britain defined by the 1689 Bill of Rights. You appear to have grossly misunderstood the contents of the Bill. With regard to military affairs the only limitation on Royal Prerogative is that the monarch can not raise (new) armies or use the Army against the populace when not at war. Nevertheless the Monarch can declare war so that constraint is limited. Parliament has never had control.

  • @Kampfer1445 Parliament controls the army. The Queen has no power whatsoever.

  • @JuanMacready You are obviously talking about Sweden, because your claims are irrelevant to the system of government and the laws of the UK. The claims you have made are demonstrably false and have no legal or actual basis. The Armed Forces swear no Oath to Parliament and are not bound to follow its dictates; only the orders of the Monarch or her appointed Ministers have any legal authority over the armed forces. The UK Parliament has no power whatsoever; the Queen controls the Army, RN and RAF.

  • @Kampfer1445 The Queen has no power at all, she only has a ceremonial role. The last British monarch to have any power was William IV (1830-1837).

  • @JuanMacready That is a common perception, and it is completely false. You need to actually research the Royal Prerogatives, because you are trying to bluff this issue, and it is clear that you don't understand the issue.

  • @Kampfer1445 The Queen only has power in theory, in reality she could never do anything.

  • @JuanMacready That is a common belief and it is legally and actually waffle.

  • @JuanMacready,

The Queen is the wealthiest, most powerful living person.

  • Such a claim is also an inherent misunderstanding of the military oath. Armed Forces are not controlled by any group or person they have not sworn allegiance to; the US military swears allegiance to the Constitution and therefore obeys its statute to take orders from the President; it is thus controlled by the President. The UK Armed Forces swear allegiance to the Crown and thus are only controlled by the Crown or (in general) by her appointed ministers. They are not bound to Parliament.

  • @Kampfer1445 True but parliament controls the purse strings. No money no military. Parliamentary consent IS needed to retain a standing army although this does not apply to the air force or navy which is why they are the royal air force and the royal navy but the army is not the "royal" army.

As you have stated any monarch that acted unconstitutionally was removed. Hence proving the power of parliament to contest and restrain the sovereign.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson all of which The royal investment has never taken since the

change of royal investment to parlement as the true government of the people.

  • It's time we scrapped the State Opening of Parliament because it's just a waste of money.

  • The Queen's Visible Billions are but a modicum, a drop of her Invisible Billions which are kept hidden in Rothschild's personal holding trusts, a fortune estimated in the hundreds of Trillions.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson

Do you have any evidence to support these claims?

  • @Medeasbiggestfan,

The Crown controls the International Drug Traffick through the Corporation of the City of London. The center of International Drug Trade moved from Hong Kong to the Port of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

  • The British-Rothschild Establishment and Queen control the International Drug Traffic.

The global Narcotics Trade can best be illustrated by a Big British Flag with Queen Elizabeth at the top spouting an Opium Pipe and flanked on one side by economist, Milton Friedman. (The latter being subject of the Ugly Truth About Milton Friedman)

  • Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is no figurehead but is the Absolute, Authoritative, Functional Head of State for the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, meaning that in effect she personally runs the military and intelligence services in those countries.

In essence, the Queen seeks to "liquidate the sovereinty" of every nation state in the Americas.

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson

Do you have any evidence whatsoever to support your claims?

Also, how does being head of state of the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand make her want to liquidate the sovereignty in the Americas?

  • @Medeasbiggestfan The sovereignty of the U.S. has already been liquidated. Look up Citizens United vs. FEC. Are the multinationals involved? What do you think? Multinationals are just that. They are not "foreign." Nor are they "domestic." They can do things like start up business anywhere in the world with virtually no obstacles. YOU CANT. BP, for example, was ordered to stop using hazardous dispersants in our gulf (banned in England) and they said NO. Imagine if you said "no."

  • @AnonymousWhitePerson yeah yeah yeah...and we all have microchips in our heads, implanted there by the jews when we were asleep.....and alex jones has a lizard tongue and is head of the illuminati

    nutjob

  • @yahoopl3,

Actually, the commercial for the RFID chip is available on YouTube.

The product is marketed by IBM, and is said on the commercial to be "The Future of E-Business" in a Micro-chipped world.

  • Why the fuck is this bitch getting a raise of 6 million pounds (or thereabouts)?!?!?!? Wake up you fucking dumbass limeys. The monarchy does NOTHING for you...it's stupid, antiquated, and serves no purpose whatsoever. It's a waste of money. You might as well spend your tax dollars on a 24k gold giant statue of the old bat's vagina

  • @yahoopl3,

Queen Elizabeth II is personally working to establish a One World Government under the United Nations, particularly through such agencies as the Pilgrims Society, of which she is perennial Patron.

  • Who are and how do they choose those boys that carry her ropes

  • Someone should " Slap my bitch up "

  • I find it interesting that when a Banking collapse seems inevitable , the Queen pops her head out. Is this Woman the head of the Bank of England lending money at interest to british people ?

  • @MrMick73 no the Queen doesn't "head" the bank of england.

  • @histre101,

Queen's Elizabeth is the single richest living human being. Her Invisible Billions are kept hidden in Rothschild's personal holding trusts while her shares in the Bank of England are kept hidden behind the "Bank of England Nominees."

  • She needs boobs implants !

  • @gringodeltoro1 They'd need to remove the embalming fluid, first.

  • it would be hilarious to see the queen say "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!" to the guy who was coughing in the background

  • "god save the queen and send her to your arms for all grace too see" - Takami Heru

  • Harry for King ... God Bless King Harry ... The Crown took your heart and soul .

Get it back , the people are with YOU .

    God Bless Diana ,

King Harry the soldier , knows the working mans heart . like your mother said . " NWO . no more killing or CULLING of the innocent .

  • I respect Monarchs only because they command a certain moral stability in their societies that most presidents and other elected leaders and politicians are either unwilling or unable to do. Hence the reason that most countries with monarchs are have more political stability, and they usually keep corrupted politicians at bay.

By the way, her diamonds and pearls are blinging

  • Long live the Qeen!

  • These people have ruled for a very, very long time. Not just the kings & queens, but the pharaos, priests, emperors, tribe leaders & so on... always the same power structure, divide & conquer. We have evolved. We have technology that surpasses everything we would think of 50 years ago. And yet, we still have that ancient system... remnants from an old age, still in power.

  • Its strange isnt it? Yet, it is quite common through the world. Not only Monarchs, but people who inherit power in general... they are born into it, and yet everyone of them, seem to go along with the program. Very few choose to live a "normal" life. They also mostly stick to themselves, its almost like a high class club. I think its strange, because they dont deal with much of the politics. Maybe there is more to it, more than we know.

  • Does anyone know any history here at all or what?

  • Personally, I think it's ridiculous that we still live in an age where we have a monarch. She is respected, and for what? Inheriting the throne and never having to work a day in her life, yet somehow her opinion still matters. I don't know what I despise more: The Royal Family or the youtube name of the person who uploaded this vid.

  • Long live her majesty!

  • thats a big hat

  • Was good to see our political leaders sitting together, I wonder would it be better to get them to do this in the day job?

    /watch?v=MqlTJ8OLE9A

  • Good luck Queen Elizabeth it will never happen on Child Poverty. Now give up on Northern Ireland.

  • @v19d You realise the sovereignty of Northern Ireland is determined by the people who were born there and not the British Government or the Queen?

  • Quite humerous at times. Complete Newspeak.

  • global 'ecomonic' downturn

  • It's such a shame to see her so 'downtrodden'. I think she's (as have we all) had more than enough of Gordan Brown. In the short time he's (Brown) been in office, he's done so much damage. It's very hard to believe that he's not actually an undercover anarchist tearing it down from the inside... God bless Britain and all her allies and friends. And a massive 'fuck ya mum' to all our enemies :)

  • Is this the same speech from 2008?

  • @AJen912 No.

  • God save the Queen

  • The Queen is a symbol of national pride and I personally adore her! In a recent survey over 70% of the British public supported the monarchy, I couldn't imagine Britain without our monarchy ;(. God Save The Queen and Rule Britannia!

  • The Queen is just a complete irrelevance with no power at all, just like every monarch since William IV.

  • if it is the queens government then she should rid it of the dirty traitors within it

  • @LogInForPaper The vast majority of people in the UK don't want a republic.

  • @LogInForPaper I don't think you do want that.

  • @LogInForPaper and then what? french revolution was unsuccessful and the First French Republic was unsuccessful and the new regime faced attacks its people and foreign countries in Europe until Napoleon came top power and created the French Empire. Read some French history and look on why the French revolution was unable for a stable government.

  • @CoreyStudios2000

    Sooo, BEHEAD THE QUEEN!!!

...ravel ravel ravel ravel ravel ravel!!

  • @LogInForPaper you fool. You'll anger the British and ruin their culture.

  • @CoreyStudios2000

At least they'll have Yorkshire pudding.

  • @CoreyStudios2000

At least they'll have Yorkshire pudding.

  • @LogInForPaper

Well If you were British then maybe you would care. I say this because it is "Rabel" not ravel!

If the Queen goes so do the last few powers our country has. She is the only peoson who is stopping the Devolution of powers from our government to the European Union! She is the only person standing up for the British public!

  • @alex471996

How about removing the royals and selling all their wealth and use it to build hospitals or school?

  • Comment removed

  • We were better off with a Lord Protectorate. The Queen is just a powerless fucking irrelevance.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan How do you know, that?

  • @phil1958uk

Because every opinion poll shows that about 70% of people want to keep the monarchy.

Also, if the politicians heard calls for a republic on the doorstep, they would soon see votes in it and promise to abolish the monarchy - that's how a democracy should work. The fact that all the mainstream parties want to keep the monarchy tells be that they are not hearing this on the doorstep.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan I don't recall any opinion polls on the monarchy, when were they? And where, were they?

  • @phil1958uk

An ICM poll taken in March last year showed 76% of people said they would like the monarchy to continue after the present Queen, while 18% said they would prefer a Republic.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan 76% of British people?

  • @phil1958uk

    Yes, that's who they polled.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan People that were born in Britain? Or people that just live in Britain?

  • @phil1958uk

    British citizens.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan An unfair poll, they're not people who were actually born, in Britain.

  • @phil1958uk

What makes you think they weren't born in Britain? I said the poll was of British citizens, the vast majority of whom were born in Britain.

  • @Medeasbiggestfan Still an unfair poll, not all of them were actually, born in Britain.
