Mariangela played like the best, I saw her in the Bass Hall, she loves the music like anyone, she plays with her soul.

Aside from all this, it evokes for me many a cherished memory - thank you Mariangela for such a poetic and poignant performance. You really are a beautiful musician - not surprising, given you are such a beautiful person.

This nocturne for the left hand is one of the most

finely crafted and cherished pieces from Scriabin - together with the accompanying prelude, it is a real test of a pianist's musicianship - to achieve with one hand what usually requires two. Having said that, being for the left hand alone, the sound is of the left hand alone.

Mariangela plays this exquisitely and breathes life into every phrase and nuance. I love it!

TThis piece was very popular fifty years ago and many pianists used to play it. It is generally precededby a Prelude also for the left hand.

Vacatello plays with a lot of charm and exquisite sonorities. She is much more restrained than Martha Argerich. I, personnaly, don't see much resemblance between the two artists......
