  • Hey what equipment were you using.

PC,Projectors,Steering Wheel,Transmission, Pedals, anything else. And it GPL free or is it a bought program?

  • Can't remember the PC specs but we used a Matrox Parhelia graphics card to split the picture into 3 parts for 3 projectors and screens. The shifter is an ACT Labs with the outer plastic cover replaced by a very stiff aluminum frame which makes its action more positive and thus faster. The pedals are the Speed 7s by BRD of Britain; very adjustable for good heel and toe work. The steering wheel is the Momo Racing by Logitech. GPL can be bought very cheaply online as it is nine years old now.

  • That really brought back the memories of the speed, power and control. Is that done with two cars in the pit lane watching with mod'd camera angles, or has that problem been overcome? Thanks for the vid.

  • Hi Noslen,

We used a Matrox Parhelia graphics card which splits the picture from one car into 3 parts for 3 monitors (or 3 projectors in our case). In GPL one has to enter a custom resolution and that's it. Wide screen!

  • how did u get gtr to run o modern pc mine runs it way to fast???

  • Hi mhoseinofi

I presume you meant to ask about getting GPL (not GTR) to run at the right speed on a modern PC. Well, I'm afraid I don't know much about such problems, but if you go to the Racesimcentral website and look for the GPL forum you should be able to find out what your problem is.

    Good luck!

    Chris

  • there is a cpu-fix patch on the forum for modern pc's on the RSC'site.

  • @mhoseinofi

I believe there was a CPU fix a while back. Also the beautiful model and texture packs should stress more recent hardware enough to slow it back down to more playable speeds.

  • oooooh....

  • ... and this was just a rough initial one-day test of the idea on rented equipment. One day I'll get it all together and the screens will perfectly aligned, the projector pictures will be perfectly matched for colour, contrast etc., the resolution will be much higher etc. etc. Mind-boggling to think about, really.

    :)

  • what game is that?

  • It is Grand Prix Legends.
