This is absolutely exquisite, as are all of their performances. This married couple was always so passionate, so beautiful, so in tune with one another, they really did skate as one. There was never any scandal with them and they always skated clean.
The lift at 2:45 is gorgeous. This clip is not the best angle to see it, but Marina is absolutely parallel with the ice. It's just breathtaking.
This was the best team ever. Such grace and beauty. I wish ice dancing were this way today. Nowadays the dancers move so fast you can't appreciate the lovely grace of the of the discipline. And those twizzlers are just ugly moves and don't add anything to the performance (in my opinion), but an important requirement to the judjing apparently. I don't even enjoy watching ice dancing anymore. We will never see performances like this one again.
Glorious! I really felt as though I was drawn into a medieval world. They are as great storytellers as they are skaters. One of my fave skaters of all time.

We saw them perform this live at the old Blue Jay ice rink in about 1997. Stunning and gorgeous, we will never forget it.
