Peter Singer is perhaps my favorite thinker alive. Although I may not agree with all of his views, his rational consistency and fluidity are truly remarkable.

It was nice to hear about Peter Singer's life (and his recipe for Dal) but I'd like to have heard more philosophical talk.

When Hitler was asked, what will the world look like? He replied, "I can't tell you exactly what the world of the future will look like but I can tell you that it will be a vegetarian one". Germany was already producing synthetic fibers and if the war had have been won, quite soon after that all animal based industries would have been closed. Fascism is not the answer but Germanic people will have to lead the way as always.

Even if people don't agree with Singer, at least there are tons to learn from the way he thinks.

These days everyone has a knee jerk reaction to everything and this gets politicized the hell out of.

Plain boiled rice and the stuff he cooked was dhal.(lentils)that goes over the rice and is usually had in combination :-)
