@darionothree Well i think the Maggie's Farm riff was written by Bob Dylan, and i only wanted to include riffs that Tom or the band wrote. The song is a Dylan cover so i assume the riff was by him as well.
Haha. No. Most of the covers on that album, the original music was thrown away and only the lyrics were kept. That rendition of Maggie's Farm is a Tom Morello composition. Have you heard the original version of Maggie's Farm? There is no riff. SAme with Beautiful world. Renegades' basic concept was write new original music for these traditional rebel songs.
a good start, but you really only included the well known ones. You missed Maria, New Millenium Homes, Ashes in the Fall, Voice of the Voiceless, Freedom, Fistful of Steel, I'm Housin, How I Could just Kill a Man, The Ghost of Tom Joad, and Maggie's Farm off the top of my head.
@popesweetjesus253 Yeah, i got more into Rage after i made this. However i didn't only include the well known ones, i think i had Revolver and Born of a Broken Man in there.
@procritic09 my bad, I didn't really specify the riff I had in mind, it's the breakdown riff in it, if you watch youtube.com/watch?v=9TDgkOOlbwg , it starts at around 2:50. It's one of their best riffs imo :)
I would agree but he said he got the idea for the riff from "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin. It's not exactly the same, it's not even the same notes, but it's the same rhythm. So my favourite riff would have to be... ... Bulls on Parade, or Sleep Now in the Fire. Actually it's Killing in the Name, just because that's the only RATM riff that i can play on guitar.
no top comment! RAGE!

@Lawldudz The bullet in the head riff is played while Zack is rapping, so i couldn't really use it.
