so are we not able to dock an existing hard drive into the smartbay? so do I have to buy a rocketfish hard drive enclosure kit to get my old laptop files across to my new m15x?
I know i am a complete noob here, but you know when you say that you can put a battery/blu-ray drive in the smart bay ?? Is that an extra battery, or does that mean every time i play a dvd or summit, i have to be plugged in ??
the computer has a space where only the battery can go. then there is another space where the dvd/blu-ray drive normally goes. If you want, you can put an extra hard drive or battery in this spot.

I tried this but i couldn't find a battery option. I have not bought the laptop yet though and i was wondering if you can by the options during the purchase process online. If you could get back to me that would be very helpful.

yeah during customizition of the m15x there should be options but there spread throughout out of all of dem.

yes you can. google "alienware blu-ray drive" and go to the shopping tab and you'll see a bunch.
