I think you hated stuff bcauseyou had already pictured it in your mind from what you read in the book and couldn't reconcile it with the movie scenes. Actually, I loved all those parts you mentioned. Mrs. Figg needed to be just like that in the movie in order to get the point across. Also, I actually thought Dumbledore was perfect. Also, isn't it possible that Alice Longbottom already gave birth to Neville, and that's why she wasn't pregnant? Harry's the youngest in his year, right?
The thing that really bothered me about the movie was when Harry showed his wand in front of the muggles. Also I hated the lack of Sirius' mother. the whole entire Ministry scene it was so wrong. The fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort was HORRIBLE in the book it is really interesting to read about the fight all the statues and I imagined them apparating all over the place firing spells at each other and the main thing is that they were evenly matched that was the whole point of that fight!
Yeah, you guys got abut everything right, except it wasn't Cho who told Umbridge about Dumbledore's army, it was her friend Marrietta(or whatever.) But other than all that, it was a pretty good movie, I was going to watch the Half Blood Prince again tonight, actally.
Whoa..nevermind that last comment, I fucked up there..my bad, it's because I DO remember seeing a screenshot like..they filmed the scene with Lily in it, but I guess they just cut that part out..that's why I thought it was in the deleted scenes..
I think the movie was way too short...2 hours 18 minutes??? Are you joking?? For the longest book, you're gonna make it the shortest movie? That's really smart...I blame the fact that it was a different screenwriter. Especially since Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is gonna be 2 hours and 33 minutes because it's being written by the old screenwriter. Bad thing though..the movie's gonna have a lot of stuff cut out since it's PG..
i think that they are talking about when dumbledore pushed harry into the fire place at the ministry. thats the only time i can think of when dumbledore pushed him in the film.
One thing That I would like to say, unless you figured this out, is that when harry forces voldemort out of him, time is slowed down that is why dumbledore's just looking up and the sand is frozen in time.
I totally agree with the Sirius but. I thought his death in the film differed so much from the book and was weaker in impact for it.
In the book he fell back instantly after being hit with a curse (not sure it was Avada kadavra) into the veil, in a split second. It was really quick. And then Harry denied he was dead and was waiting for him to come back out to fight.
In the movie, Sirius wavered after being hit with the Killing Curse and THEN drifted off and Harry had no trouble accepting it...
I totally agree! I loved the movie, but they left so much out! Especially with the memory of snape and it's all about Lily Evans but she's not even there!
aww i cant believe you guys didnt like the part where sirius says "good one james" i started crying at that part cause i was like nooooo you cant just leave him hanging.
you guys are soooo right!!! especially the bellatrix part where she suddenly moves. its like woahhhh make it obvious. i have anextra rant for you :) at the end where harry chases bellatrix, it should have been like the one in he book where she talks to him. cos i loved that part :) because she's one of the best characters and she didnt really say much :/
well, I actually think Dumbledore would be there on his knees cause he sort of wants so "train" harry and make him stronger for the final combat :)
And I agree they forgot so many things to put in the movie that when people that haven't read the books will just sit in the movie theatre watching the 7th movie and will be like "whaaaat?"
when there were at headquarters, they put the part when tonks knocks over the umbrella stand but it didnt wake the portrait of Mrs. Black! I hated it! and you're right about the thing with dumbledore! stop looking at him and try and protect him from the evil wizard standing over him! YOU STUPID MAN! that's so not dumbledore. and the thing hermione and her eyebrows! I think her eyebrows have a bigger part than she does. other than thats stuff it was really good
When I finished watching the movie in the cinema, I was so exited. I loved it (still love it xD). But after a few minutes I was like "Where was the Quidditch =O?" One thing that I disliked also was Harry's hair (sorry, had to say that xD). But alwayspureblood, many of your points are true. They left out very much.
The movies are always disappointing but I still watch them cuz it's HP. It was like after I saw Star Wars: Episode 1. I was so disappointed but I still saw Episode 2 and 3 cuz it's Star Wars. You just have to watch.
Nice vid! I agree with your complaints, but I must say that for me, there's a 1000 more!!! Crappy film!!! all the way! hated it...! nice to know that I'm not the only one who hates the new Dumbledore! And I hate Daniel radcliffe AND Emma watson! crappy acting!! Rupert Grint is great!
And in my opinion, i think the movie were flashes, mere images of the book. You have to had read the book to understand it! NO content! NO story! Anybody agree???
the movies are awful compared to the books...with somethin this good they could make it longer, u know, make it take two tapes but they just pop em out as fast as they can cuz they know ppl will watch em, i hate the way they replace dobby's roles with neville too!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this video is stupid, not the movie this one. wow they left out a few things, big deal! i thought it was still awesome and i know that u guys are retards
maybe you should try reading the books and then you could notice the things they left out of the movies for urself so your not puttin down the wrong ppl
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this is random...and rather pointless. they acnt include everything in the films it would cost too much money and to be honest...ron not playing quidditch isnt vitally important to the storyline
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
persoanly, i think all the films were, on average, very poorly done. they always felt like they were made for people who have never read the book, and leave out the original fans of the series (the ones that own the books)..... ooh, i can feel waves of hate already..
i agree 100%! because they're trying to make money quick they're changing the story..replacing characters with others (dobby with neville) it's terrible
Regulus hasnt even been mentioned yet....that will be a huge "who?" moment for those who never read the book. I hate Sirius in the movies....in SWM he was supposed to be handsome. He still had Gary Oldmans hair.....
they left out S.P.E.W. as well, that kinda pissed me off because ron is all like whatever who cares about houseelves in that book but thne in the last book he says that they should get them out of the war and everything and that is why hermione finally kisses him, that doesn't really make sense unless the S.P.E.W. thing is in there, idk, just saying.
I KNOW I can't believe there's no quidditch or Weasely is our king!! what about the Hufflepuff Dumbledore's Army members? they forgot Hanna Aboott or Ernie or Justin!
I thought it criminal that they left out Dung! And "What up, Figgy?" But he didn't really play a vital part on the whole.
What's with Dumbledore wearing a dress (in the trial scene)? We didn't know he was gay yet, so there is no excuse. Sirius was AK-ed? How very uncanon, thought I. But I was always a big supporter of If-Dumbledore-is-dead-then-Sirius-must-come-back thing. Well, I was proved wrong and we're all still scratching our heads about the veil. Voldie in a suit? No comment.
I'm a total emma watson fan, but the thing with her and her spasms just cracked me up, it was hilarious! in fact everything was hilarious! you guys rock!!!
HAHAH I totally know what you mean about emma and her eyebrows! and dumbledore too. I thought that Richard Harris was so much better than Michael Gambon. I also hated the "nice one James" it was completely unnecessary for the situation. Oh my gosh and how could they leave out "weasley is our king"?
see the thing is is when you watch harry potter movie you cant compare it to the books, because theres too much in the books they cant have a 9 hour film even though id love one:) they have to make them shorter then 3 hours but i do agree that they can make them a wee bit better:)
Firstly, they're not fat. Secondly, would it matter if they were? People get so worked up over weight, it's stupid. People like you just encourage it. Yeah, their talented and smart, but physical appearances are much more important? I don't think so.
Cool = skinny? Wow, you learn something new everyday! So, are you having fun in your land of shallow, anorexic chihuahuas? I hope so. So, when you're all counting calories in your hair brushes and knocking your teeth out to lose weight, I'll sit and laugh because frankly, no one really cares how fat or skinny you are. Besides in the 'coolest and 'skinniest place on earth'. How could I forget? Anyway, I'm getting the OotP DVD tonight! How cool is that? Funny, you can't get it in Chicago yet ...
Am I the only who is really disappointed in the films? I guess it's because when you read the book it's so real in your imagination and there's so much information, too much to fit into a film. It's when they miss out important bits that it does my head in, like the whole lack of quidditch etc. Anyways, disengaging rant mode...... blip!
@Awfullybigadventure0 if u were a true fan there would even be small things that piss u off...i love both harry potter and narnia yet i can still be really pissed off with the films
@TimeLordMagic Disagree. Even the books that I am deeply in love with, I am still critical about the bad parts. Like book 6? I didn't liked all the teenage drama and I hated Ginny, but still I love the book.
the explanation of the whole prophecy thing was terrible. I liked how Sirius looked at Harry and Harry looked at Sirius before sirius died but I HATED, HATED, HATED how Sirius said "Good one James." to Harry. I was like "OH MY GOD" under my breath in a gasp and my friends were like "huh?" so after the movie was over I'm like "Sirius said nice one JAMES!" and they gasped and we were like "HOW DARE HE!"
I HATE THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS DUMBLEDORE! He isn't ANYTHING like dumbledore!!!! Mrs. Fig and kreature was TERRIBLE. Also, emma watson always has those spasms with her eyebrows. I thought I was the only one who noticed that! The maurader scene was terrible! It was three seconds! there was nooo Lily Evans and it was just TERRIBLE!!! also harry just walked off and he didn't care at all... what was with that?
I so get your point with the fact that Lily was pregnant and Alice WAS NOT????? What the bloody hell was that about? RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!! anyways good thing I noticed things that normally I would have paid no attention to!
I agree the movie was kind of a dissapointment, there was too much missing, and it was too short,I wouldnt mind if the movie was like 4 hours long I would still watch it.
ok, i'm not trying to sound rude or anything, but IT'S A MOVIE!!! Why can't people just watch a movie for what it is?....a movie. like i said i'm not trying to be rude, my sister's the same way comparing books to movies all the time.
Actually, there's an extended Marauder's scene, but they cut it...there are screens available, there's a link on mugglenet...
Sirius looks ugly, Remus is mehhhh, Peter is fat and perfect, James has BROWN hair, which is the wrong hair color, and Lily looks like an immature kid...it's quite frightening, actually.
They can make it work out. Also, they put in Prof. Grubbly-Plank. She is unimportant in the books and didn't even speak in the film. Why include her at all? Also, she wasn't in the 4th film, so she should have been welcomed and not welcomed back.
Then, the too short (and not in depth explanation) scene in Snape's memory.
And, of course, Michael Gambon's terrible portrayal of kind, caring, loving Dumbledore.
Personally, I didn't mind Quidditch being excluded.
As for the mirror in Book 7: They could just have Aberforth "sense" something is wrong. The "sensing" may not be clear, but much about the Dumbledores are mysterious.
As for the locket & RAB: Harry could see Regulus's sign on his door and connect him with RAB. Then he could ask Kreacher what he knows about the locket, and eventually where it is. After all, Harry knows RAB stole the locket and will find out that Regulus is RAB; therefore, Regulus (who once owned Kreacher) stole the locket.
wow...I thought I was the only one that hated this movie...the way it's been praised by everyone. I made my mom watch 4 Potter movies in 2 days to prepare, and she was just as confused as I was(and I have read all book numerous amounts of time!
OMG!! Sirius's Mirror. That is sooo important in 7 And the Locket and regulus Black. How are they going to fix these things!! I agree with the Dumbledore stuff too. He is just not very dumbledore-ish. I loved the film as well though. best one yet!
Here are some more things that the film missed out:
They cut out St Mungos, Lockhart, Sirius's mirror, and the floo network convo with Kreacher in Umbridges office, and Cho's friend Marietta, and the Valentines Day date with Cho, and Dobby, and Rita Skeeter, and passing out in the OWL Exam, and they cut out Harry's ban in quidditch, and Ron being the keeper of the Gryffindor team, AND, they forgot to tell us who really set the dementors on Harry & Dudley; Umbridge of course...
I also agree with the Emma Watson thing :P Lmao. She's a brilliant actress, one of my fave actresses definatly, but she has an eyebrow problem :P
"It Means *raises eyebrows* That *Lowers Left eyebrow* The *Raises Right eyebrow* Ministry is *lowers right eyebrow* Interfering *Raises both eyebrows*" :P lol
When Dumbledore was scared in the film fighting Voldemort, but he was in the book too. I think it's kinda good to show that even a warrior has to face his fears ;] lol
But the talk with Dumbledore and Harry in the end, OMG, that was a chapter long, like WOW, and they made it what, 20 seconds long in the film? Thats baaad.
And Sirius's mirror. Where was Harry when he got Sirius's mirror?? These are the questions that haunt me :P Lol.
what can I say?? weak script, good actors trying to make the most of a weak script with all the best scenes cut and leaving weak actors free reign to kill a brilliant book
and omg!they insist on turning snape into a joke! when in the book did he ever hit anyone round the head?? and i was really looking forward to seeing aln rickman show off his acting skills and throw stuff at harry and show real rage, insted, he just stands there! and what the fuck is it with hermione? seriously, that girl can't act! she relies on her posh accent to ull off hermionie's character but it dosen't work and just ends up trailing around after harry not really doing anything
it pissed me off so much yeah they missed out lily's scene but also they cut snapes parts which pissed me off as he takes up a fair amount of the book and his entire apperance is cut to 10 mins and i cried at the en of snapes worst memory when i read it first time, in the film i was so pissed it didn't explain anything at all which people who only watch the films already knew, plus dumbledore was out of character, it left out load of importaint info
They turned dudley in to a chav i mean did you see the white jacket and the gold chain i mean what the HELL! And without the mirror Aberforth watching over harry (with the mirror) is gonna make him sound not only crazy but perverted!
You honestly nailed almost every single thing I've noticed in the film; the weird hermione spasm eyebrow shit, the Bellatrix-Neville rubbish, the fucked up marauder scene, the Dumbledore staring at Harry while he was being fucking possessed by Voldemort. Honestly, thank you.
yet they managed to forget that daniel radcliffe altho he managed to act well but he is SPASTICAT and is in a porno play i mean omfg wat the f*** is up his butt
yall made some good points but doesn't J.K. Rowling approve of the script before they film it? well i remember heard her saying something like that in one of the DVD extras. oh and at least they showed kreacher b/c Rowling said they originally cut out that scene.
The first time I saw the movie I came out ranting on and on about everything that was SOOO wrong from the book and my friends wanted to kill me. But the second time I saw it [ and after I had gotten over how utterly wrong a lot of it was ] I loved the movie. Still, they had so much wrong. Cho Chang turning in the DA because of Truth Serum. *headdesk* no. Anyways, I won't get started haha. Good blog! I liked it a lot
me and my friend think u guys r hillarious!!!! we now notice how hermione's eyebrows make spazms when she talks!!! we think ur soo awesome we were sooo inspired, we even made an account just to comment about u and put our own videos on!!!
I agreed with everything you just said. And the only thing I really hate about the movies is Dumbledore. He is so wrong, I really agree with you. Also in movie 4, he would never be violent like he were when Harry got chosen to be in the tournament! And Dumbledore is just so important!
He makes me soo angry in the movies... I reacted so strongly to that exact bit that you mentioned when he said: "Haven't you all got studying to do?!?!?!?" Not Dumby!! Even if he was mad, he would never take that out on the students!
I thought I would have a heartattack, I was so mad!! In movie three I figured I could stand him(even if I didn't like him..), but after that I really hate how he reflects Dombledore! .. Richard Harris was waaaaaaaay better!! He really could portray that calm that Dombledore has/had..
And I also reacted that Lily wasn't in the movie at all.. I had guessed that Lily's secret was that she and Snape had been close, and that Snape loved her.. She should have been in there!
PS.I just really thought that it was sad when Sirius said "Nice one James!". Just really sad.. :´(
guys, you missed a lot of points. I personally think it's a lot easier to criticize this movie than compliment it. They were a lot of things screwed. Like for example Harry. He was so quiet! GRR...and the trio was just less energetic. THe Harry/Cho break up was unexplained, they left a lot of loose ends, no climax...and much more. GOF WAS WAY BETTER!
I really liked the movie and the 5th book is probably my favorite of the series, but I do agree that they should have mentioned a few more things here and there. I completely agree that I was very disappointed about the pensive scene because that was one of my favorite parts of the book and I also agree about quidditch, but what can you do...
omg...i totally agree with you .... i didnt like the movie. .. ok the special effects were good .... but they disappointed me so much .. it was my most fav book in the series .. and everything went so fast that u didnt realize sumthing had happened until after it had ... and i hated the snape's worst memory .. and the new dumby is getting on my nerves since PoA ...... he totally ruins the character ... the old dumby was so good in it!!
I felt the same way when I hat watched it the first time, I was really disappointed, but then I watched it again yesterday, and I actually liked it. Then I knew how much was left out, and then it was easier to just enjoy what was not.
yh may be the reason of my utter disappointment was that i was expecting so much frm them .. like a fabulous film .. and reeally looking forward to it ... and then it made me think .... "what the hell did they do to it?" .... maybe i'll watch it again
i totaly agree with everything u have sed i think the movie was great but the dumbledore bit REALLY anoys me .he annoyed me in GOF aswell wen he pins Harry up after the goblet throws haryys name out please im begging WB to get a better actor or makehim play dumbledore better also isnt kreacher suposed 2 b cute so y does he luk lyk an old man with a really mis shapen nose????? arrrrrghhhhhhhhh those bits annoy me sooooooooo much but it was overall a gurd movie and the best 1 so far
I think the film was great WAY better that GOF but i agree with you! but think about it the crew and cast try there best, and with out them we will be BEGGING for a movie to the WB.
wat the ...! it was pretty funny ...but i guess someone should have placed a mirror infront of u or u simply didn't see ur video after u uploaded it! i am amazed tht if u did see the video after u recorded it u still criticize the facial expressions of the characters...and no one said the purpose of snape's worst memory was to show lily...!personally i think it was stupid but funny...u could have chosen good things to critisize too!
jkr said before bk 7 that lily had a huge secret, and part of it was in bk 5. the only bit where lily is in the bk, is snape worst memory. not rocket science...
as if u knew the secret ....where is the proof she said that.. many said that she said .."that two people would die! well as far as i know more than two died....and u are not the only onw who has read the books..
well if lily had a secret, it was OBVIOUSLY important to show her!! I guessed it was about her protecting Snape which wasnt entirely right, but the fact is, it should have included Lily. And as for proof, try reading the interviews!
I think that what sirius black says too harry (good one james) would make you feel special because after all the people who said james was a great wizard you would feel more respected and happy
This was adorable. Yeah- valid points. I did love the film tho. You know they need fans as directors and producers! You could tell with Lord of the Rings that the people working on it knew and "loved" the story. I am not feeling the "love" guess, in the HP Series.
yeah i cant believe they didnt say anything about quidditch throughout the whole movie. And your right they should have shown the locket. And i hate how they left out so many little things that were so great in the book. Oh well but I loved Evanna Lynch as Luna she was fantastic!
Ian Mackellan should have been cast as Dumbledore. The "Snape's Worst Memory" part was badly done. It needed much more elaboration. The way that Sirius's death was done took the whole "is he really dead" argument out of it, I was dissappointed.
I also didn't like how all the characters had two minutes each of screentime, except for Harry.
your right there was a lot of things wrong with this film, u left out the part where they where doin levicorpus in the DA, harry didnt use that til hbp, just thort u might want to kno that, lol :P
I think you hated stuff bcauseyou had already pictured it in your mind from what you read in the book and couldn't reconcile it with the movie scenes. Actually, I loved all those parts you mentioned.
NO content! NO story! Anybody agree???
kritac 4 years ago
the movies are awful compared to the books...with somethin this good they could make it longer, u know, make it take two tapes but they just pop em out as fast as they can cuz they know ppl will watch em, i hate the way they replace dobby's roles with neville too!!

this is random...and rather pointless. they acnt include everything in the films it would cost too much money and to be honest...ron not playing quidditch isnt vitally important to the storyline

persoanly, i think all the films were, on average, very poorly done. they always felt like they were made for people who have never read the book, and leave out the original fans of the series (the ones that own the books)..... ooh, i can feel waves of hate already..
homestyles09 4 years ago
i agree 100%! because they're trying to make money quick they're changing the story..replacing characters with others (dobby with neville) it's terrible

Regulus hasnt even been mentioned yet....that will be a huge "who?" moment for those who never read the book. I hate Sirius in the movies....in SWM he was supposed to be handsome. He still had Gary Oldmans hair.....
christinet8504 4 years ago
they left out S.P.E.W. as well, that kinda pissed me off because ron is all like whatever who cares about houseelves in that book but thne in the last book he says that they should get them out of the war and everything and that is why hermione finally kisses him, that doesn't really make sense unless the S.P.E.W. thing is in there, idk, just saying.

Dumbledore totally had man boobs and severe anger issues. And they left out quidditch!
In the next movie if they add it people will be like: "What the hell? Isnt that that game thing from the first movie?"

YES! I totally agree, quidditch! OMG I can't believe they left that out! I was looking forward to seeing Ron play! aaaaaaa!

goldilockfreak 4 years ago
I thought it criminal that they left out Dung! And "What up, Figgy?" But he didn't really play a vital part on the whole.
What's with Dumbledore wearing a dress (in the trial scene)? We didn't know he was gay yet, so there is no excuse. Sirius was AK-ed? How very uncanon, thought I. But I was always a big supporter of If-Dumbledore-is-dead-then-Sirius-must-come-back thing. Well, I was proved wrong and we're all still scratching our heads about the veil. Voldie in a suit? No comment.

see the thing is is when you watch harry potter movie you cant compare it to the books, because theres too much in the books they cant have a 9 hour film even though id love one:) they have to make them shorter then 3 hours but i do agree that they can make them a wee bit better:)

Firstly, they're not fat. Secondly, would it matter if they were? People get so worked up over weight, it's stupid. People like you just encourage it. Yeah, their talented and smart, but physical appearances are much more important? I don't think so.
CountessaOfRavenclaw 4 years ago 3
They might not be fat to you. But, I'm from Chicago; the coolest and skinniest place on the planet. You're probably just fat too.
Nice try

Cool = skinny? Wow, you learn something new everyday! So, are you having fun in your land of shallow, anorexic chihuahuas? I hope so. So, when you're all counting calories in your hair brushes and knocking your teeth out to lose weight, I'll sit and laugh because frankly, no one really cares how fat or skinny you are. Besides in the 'coolest and 'skinniest place on earth'. How could I forget? Anyway, I'm getting the OotP DVD tonight! How cool is that? Funny, you can't get it in Chicago yet ...
CountessaOfRavenclaw 4 years ago 3
Am I the only who is really disappointed in the films? I guess it's because when you read the book it's so real in your imagination and there's so much information, too much to fit into a film. It's when they miss out important bits that it does my head in, like the whole lack of quidditch etc. Anyways, disengaging rant mode...... blip!

tokyogirl4life 4 years ago
the explanation of the whole prophecy thing was terrible. I liked how Sirius looked at Harry and Harry looked at Sirius before sirius died but I HATED, HATED, HATED how Sirius said "Good one James." to Harry. I was like "OH MY GOD" under my breath in a gasp and my friends were like "huh?" so after the movie was over I'm like "Sirius said nice one JAMES!" and they gasped and we were like "HOW DARE HE!"
tokyogirl4life 4 years ago
I agree with everything you said:
I HATE THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS DUMBLEDORE! He isn't ANYTHING like dumbledore!!!! Mrs. Fig and kreature was TERRIBLE. Also, emma watson always has those spasms with her eyebrows. I thought I was the only one who noticed that! The maurader scene was terrible! It was three seconds! there was nooo Lily Evans and it was just TERRIBLE!!! also harry just walked off and he didn't care at all... what was with that?

Actually, there's an extended Marauder's scene, but they cut it...there are screens available, there's a link on mugglenet...
Sirius looks ugly, Remus is mehhhh, Peter is fat and perfect, James has BROWN hair, which is the wrong hair color, and Lily looks like an immature kid...it's quite frightening, actually.
LoonyEmilia 4 years ago
They can make it work out. Also, they put in Prof. Grubbly-Plank. She is unimportant in the books and didn't even speak in the film. Why include her at all? Also, she wasn't in the 4th film, so she should have been welcomed and not welcomed back.
Then, the too short (and not in depth explanation) scene in Snape's memory.
And, of course, Michael Gambon's terrible portrayal of kind, caring, loving Dumbledore.
Personally, I didn't mind Quidditch being excluded.
mitmfan 4 years ago
As for the mirror in Book 7: They could just have Aberforth "sense" something is wrong. The "sensing" may not be clear, but much about the Dumbledores are mysterious.
As for the locket & RAB: Harry could see Regulus's sign on his door and connect him with RAB. Then he could ask Kreacher what he knows about the locket, and eventually where it is. After all, Harry knows RAB stole the locket and will find out that Regulus is RAB; therefore, Regulus (who once owned Kreacher) stole the locket.

And they made it sound like Bellatrix Lestrange killed Neville's parents, instead of torturing them into insanity.
AngelWithPatchedWing 4 years ago
Here are some more things that the film missed out:
They cut out St Mungos, Lockhart, Sirius's mirror, and the floo network convo with Kreacher in Umbridges office, and Cho's friend Marietta, and the Valentines Day date with Cho, and Dobby, and Rita Skeeter, and passing out in the OWL Exam, and they cut out Harry's ban in quidditch, and Ron being the keeper of the Gryffindor team, AND, they forgot to tell us who really set the dementors on Harry & Dudley; Umbridge of course...
prettypinkflowers 4 years ago
I also agree with the Emma Watson thing :P Lmao. She's a brilliant actress, one of my fave actresses definatly, but she has an eyebrow problem :P
"It Means *raises eyebrows* That *Lowers Left eyebrow* The *Raises Right eyebrow* Ministry is *lowers right eyebrow* Interfering *Raises both eyebrows*" :P lol
prettypinkflowers 4 years ago
When Dumbledore was scared in the film fighting Voldemort, but he was in the book too. I think it's kinda good to show that even a warrior has to face his fears ;] lol
But the talk with Dumbledore and Harry in the end, OMG, that was a chapter long, like WOW, and they made it what, 20 seconds long in the film? Thats baaad.
And Sirius's mirror. Where was Harry when he got Sirius's mirror?? These are the questions that haunt me :P Lol.

and omg!they insist on turning snape into a joke! when in the book did he ever hit anyone round the head?? and i was really looking forward to seeing aln rickman show off his acting skills and throw stuff at harry and show real rage, insted, he just stands there! and what the fuck is it with hermione? seriously, that girl can't act! she relies on her posh accent to ull off hermionie's character but it dosen't work and just ends up trailing around after harry not really doing anything
Sweetlittlemystery 4 years ago
it pissed me off so much yeah they missed out lily's scene but also they cut snapes parts which pissed me off as he takes up a fair amount of the book and his entire apperance is cut to 10 mins and i cried at the en of snapes worst memory when i read it first time, in the film i was so pissed it didn't explain anything at all which people who only watch the films already knew, plus dumbledore was out of character, it left out load of importaint info
Sweetlittlemystery 4 years ago
Btw, the reason Dumbledore didnt do anything was because there was a shield around voldemort and Harry.

I agreed with everything you just said. And the only thing I really hate about the movies is Dumbledore. He is so wrong, I really agree with you. Also in movie 4, he would never be violent like he were when Harry got chosen to be in the tournament! And Dumbledore is just so important!
Ariial 4 years ago
I agree compleatly on the Dumbledore thing!
He makes me soo angry in the movies... I reacted so strongly to that exact bit that you mentioned when he said: "Haven't you all got studying to do?!?!?!?" Not Dumby!! Even if he was mad, he would never take that out on the students!
Zeddna 4 years ago
Just like in GOF, when Harry's name has just come out of the Goblet, and he just throws him in to the shelf ( behind the Great hall.. )
"Did you put your name in the Goblet, Harry??!!
"No..."
"ARE YOU SURE?!?!?!?!?!?!"
Zeddna 4 years ago
I thought I would have a heartattack, I was so mad!! In movie three I figured I could stand him(even if I didn't like him..), but after that I really hate how he reflects Dombledore! .. Richard Harris was waaaaaaaay better!! He really could portray that calm that Dombledore has/had..
Zeddna 4 years ago
And I also reacted that Lily wasn't in the movie at all.. I had guessed that Lily's secret was that she and Snape had been close, and that Snape loved her.. She should have been in there!

guys, you missed a lot of points.
Wierdgirl5834 4 years ago
I really liked the movie and the 5th book is probably my favorite of the series, but I do agree that they should have mentioned a few more things here and there. 360Degrez 4 years ago
