I'd recommend using your flame more often but you don't have the flame anymore :(
Make sure once you enter the dungeon to hit ESC > Save. That way if buggy things happen, you can just ESC > Reset to get out of them like the swordless Like-Like encounter.
Holy shit, that was a fantastic Gollum voice.
The actual insane rage behind it may have helped.
