  • So ahead of their time

  • that did suck, and I would give my love forever if

  • that suked

  • Great! Thanx!!!

  • Fee Waybill on Vox, Christina Sabatelli on Vox, Roger Steen on Guitar, Trey Sabatelli on Drums, Rick Anderson on Bass, Dave Medd on Keys

  • Re Styles.. lol

  • Not the same band. i used to really freak out over Re Styles. This was the Tubes "paradise by the dashboard light". So San Francisco, best from like 1976- 1985

  • "This song can get me pregnant!"

You have to see J-men Forever, this is on the soundtrack, comedy

  • And I missed this show!!!

  • The first ballad of S&M..lol greaser love...get a grip

  • Saw them in concert way back in the day. Was blown away!! Every song was put on like a Broadway production. Many set and costume changes. Saw a LOT of great bands in the 70s. The Tubes put on the Best show I've ever seen to this day. How I wish I could find some decent video on this song.

  • She's no Re Styles, is she?

  • This version didn't touch me anywhere

  • i allways wondered if the tubers were a comedy band

it seems like an early 80's thing

is this a serious love song?

I have the out of print live video.

  • wow where did that come from? Escellent

  • Wonderful anthem to greaser love.

  • The TSA needs to play this song when they molest you at the airports.

  • oops this is a bad version think ill slip back to 1978 for a listen instead c ya

  • sorry i find this lame

  • I wrote a whole No No Squares song!! Check it out, it's on my Youtube page!!

  • When the bass player is counting the beats for the other musicians you know they're in trouble. Considering this was known for it's copy of the 'wall of sound' this live version is appalling

  • What a bleeding disaster.

  • Is this Fee and Re, the original singers from 1979 performances...just older?

  • @rkhobo Its Fee but with some other chick intent on fucking it up bad.

  • pals a creep!

  • fuck what a disaster !!! pity fee and friend didnt consult the band as to what key the song was in!

this was one of the best pop songs of the seventies a great nod to phil(the killer) and his wall of sound and those great min 7th and maj 9th chords

  • I'm sorry to tell you haven't a clue about what's going on. They teach fuckin music at music school. Thay are icons and and major artists. This is not your scene.

  • i can only assume you sent that comment to me by mistake if not you obviously didnt understand my comment i said it was a great song if you think this version is anywhere near the original I pity you have ya ears tested

  • In part I misunderstood your comment, cause I'm no English speaker. But are they really that bad? She's on playback, I guess. Anyway, we agree they are GREAT! :) Cheers, "Bruce" :)

  • @harpo10 This bitch totally fucked this classic song up, bad. American idol reject?

  • one of their best songs

  • Hey, I was there! Really great show it was.

  • And who says abstinent won't work? ;)...I forgot what a great song this was...

  • this song is so hottt!!!

  • Kind of sad to see their voices went the same way as their sets from the 70's. This was pathetic- I hope they have a reason like strep throat to explain this horrendous version of a pretty cool/ catchy song.

  • is she from the Meatloaf video Paradise by the Daashboard lights?

  • I can smell the burning leather over here in the UK.......must be them rubbing rivets

  • It's probably Re Styles. Loses a lot in live performance. It's really a send-up of/tribute to Phil Spector and his famous studio technique, and was suitably elaborate. The singer on "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" was Ellen Foley, who was probably best known as the original public defender on "Night Court". The woman in the video for the song was Karla DeVito lip-syncing to Foley's vocal. Foley was a model, why wasn't she in the video? Oh well. Check out her solo albums..they're excellent.

  • I was there!!

    Another great Tubes show!
