The kicks aren't weak at all, it all depends how you choose to mix them - what AR modern gives you is a great recorded drum sound but you still need to process them yourself like you would with real drum recordings.

why are the bass drums so weak in all of their kits? The snares, hats, cymbals, toms, and percussion are all the BEST i've heard in sampled acoustic drum kits, but the kicks are all so weak and empty sounding. I thought they would've improved that for sure on the modern kit, as its almost necessary to have a thick heavy-weighted kick in todays music, in all genres, but I cant even hear the kick in this video, thats how unpresent it is. love the rest of the sounds though :-)

Native Instruments don't knows how to choose the right kits sizes...they are not a drummer

DW:22 bass drum with 12 and 13 toms

Pearl:24 bass drum with fusion toms 8 10 and 12

22 8 10 12 and 14 Pearl (pop,fusion, latin etc)

24 12 13 16 and 18 DW (rock, hard rock, metal etc)

I'm not talking about the playing, numbnuts. I'm talking about the idea of a Modern Abbey Road library. If anything, a Modern Abbey Road Drums library should be the sound of people knocking at the door and then going to studios that don't cost as much, because that's basically the situation. The 60's and 70's libraries were awesome because those are sounds that people actually want to use. (Including me).
