Tic tic, toc toc. Tic tic, toc toc. Tic tic, toc toc. Toc. Tuc tuc, toc toc. Tikiti tokotu! XD YeAH!!

  • Two thumbs up on the editing. Too bad you cant change the settings while playing live. lol

  • Oh man you rocked that solo!!!!! Awesome!!!! Better than Mike Portnoys version.

  • Congratulations, man. Excellent!!

  • Pretty damn good man!

  • that was brilliant mate

  • I don't like electric drums but I have to say you nailed this and to pull that off you need good chops in general. Nice work.

  • Perfect! Very good!

  • Amazing!!!!!! You nailed it!

  • hahahahahah FTW!!!!!

  • I was gonna say NO, because its on electric drums.WOOPS, tat was KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the best solo in history.....yyz on exit stage left

  • Brilliant!!!!I own a yamaha DTExpressIV....A marvelous pice of equipment

  • Dynamite!

  • Love it!

  • awsome! But no one can do it as good as neil peart.

  • this just doesnt sound right on an electric kit. otherwise you played very well.

  • wow,you are good

  • oh well that last comment wasn't supposed to be there

  • WOW!!!

Dude, excellent. You can be well proud of that performance! Had me bobbin' my head all the way.

Apart from the initial snare drum bit, (sounded a bit shrill) spot on the original.

    Respect dude!

  • Truly incredible job....especially with the e-drums! I take it all of your drums have 2 or 3 triggers? It seems they are changing voices a few times throughout the song. That must have taken a while to program!

  • That was awesome dude... well done.

  • outstanding !!

  • EXCELLENT JOB!!!!

  • LOL the part with the bells. That was a great job man. Keep up your drumming!

  • I don't love the sound of your electronic kit, but I love the way you play it. Great job, especially since you play it in traditional grip. Neil doesn't play the solo that way so you must have had to rework it a little, but you did great!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

  • superb!

  • Superb!!

    Stef

  • DW is waiting for you !!!!

  • Great job!!!

  • That was awesome, especially on a small eletronic kit like that.

  • that was pretty freaking sweet

i dont like electronic drum kits though

  • lol... drum solos sound amazing... in a wierd sort of way...

  • yeah that is true...

  • Love ALL your stuff Jon. You are an inspiration.

  • warspy, you're an absolute idiot! Do us all a favor and don't post anything else ever again. For everyone else debating real drums versus electronic drums, you point is mute as the technique and accuracy of the drumming is spot-on.

  • if u do not like,cause u don't know anything

about creativity...let this guy do his stuff.i think there are a lot of others who enjoy it!

  • I support this drummer and his video. Don't know if your comment was directed at me or 'warspy', the member to which I was replying. If it was me, you totally missed the context of my reply to him.

  • sweet. nice job.

  • I agree that real drums sound better. There is a part of the solo where Peart snaps the sticks across the outside of the snare to give a superb jazzy sound you just can't replicate with an electric set. But I have to say I have been a fan of Rush to the point where I can tap every off beat with my fingers (clearly can't play the drums!) but this guy has got the solo down to a tee. I did see a tribute band here in the UK called YYZ that were excellent though

  • i don't like electric drums,

it always sounds shitty and stuff..

    but pretty good!

  • u look kinda cramped!! lol

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

  • i like the timbales effect i think thats how u spell it on 1:56

  • nice job!!!

    i love it.

Peart solos are really hard to cover, any rush song with Peart is hard to cover, exept working man.

  • Maybe that's cause Peart wasn't in the band when that song was released with their first album...it was John Rutsey. Maybe that's what you're getting at though.

  • thats so awsome...if i compared your solo with neil pearts original...i really would be able to tell that differnce, awsome job man!!

  • nice job, neil's solos arent the easiest to play

  • Watching you play that solo makes me realize how wrong I've been trying to play it. Oh well, I really enjoyed watching it. Great job on mastering that solo.

  • Sooooo...you've heard of Neil Peart? Excellent job!

  • its spelled Pert. :)

  • uhh no its not

  • ya your right. My mistake.

  • Great job!

  • Super!!

  • WOW! Your awsome man!!

This is a really difficult solo and youdid it very good

  • People are mean. This is a very difficult solo, and this is a great job.

  • Your really good but you need accoustic drums and the snare and toms and really everything would sound amazing!

  • Ha ha..thanks man..this was done before i got my new acoustic kit...i ave some other vids up using my acoustics..

  • ok.. but your still awesome!!! Keep playing!!! you might see one of me up soon.

  • accoustic drum please lol bells sounds weird and toms too

  • AWESOME!!!

  • hey u signed to a band yet? lol btw sweet kit

  • Don't listen to these hater'S! You're an original! I'm sure neil would approve cause your skills are magnificent! You've taken what you have and become masterfull! It's easy to sit back and make crappy comments, but could they do better? doubt it:)lol

  • dude, awesome. keep it up.

  • I'm a drummer too and this is a very good tribute to Neil Peart... But no offense its a nice drum set and all but real acoustic drums and Paragon cymbals sound way better.

  • awesome playing, I play guitar and this part of the song is a bit of a drag to listen to on Exit but to watch someone play it is amazing.

  • Very good, try plaing this on an acoustic setup

  • hei great :D

  • nice work. if u ever redo it try to add the bells though.

  • Simply amazing..........I am in awe.

  • Dude that was preet intense for what you were working with, You should keep them coming

  • dude, that was incredible

  • You should re-record it on an acoustic drum set. The sounds of those drums seem so false. Especially the snare at the beginning. It seems like there are very few possible sounds it can make.

  • Best drum home video i have seen seen on youTube

  • Pretty Cool!!! :-)

  • How do you change the sound of the pads while playing?

  • Wow, I used to own that same set, and let me tell you. You nailed it with how limited the trigger pick-ups allow it on that frustrating Yamaha. I loved it, you went beyond your limitations play the notes to a "T!" IMPRESSIVE...

  • I only have one word - TRADITIONAL!!!!

    NICE job.....

  • howe does it to be, to be felt up like, as much, as to feeel

    that they have owned you

  • uhm.....what?

  • Awesome. You made it look too easy..

  • yeah, if this is just screwing around, you must be mind blowing at your best

  • You Do Not screw around with Neal...

But... Hot Damn... That sure sounded damn good!!!!

All you need is a pony tail and a EXPO hat...

  • Killer drum solo, Nice production with the timing of the intro and ending.

  • This was so good you made me join youtube just to tell you that. Great job!

  • Fantastic job... though by now I'm not surprised. You've got every nuance of Neil's playing nailed. Consistently impressive. (and just think.. come May 1, you'll have a whole new CD of music to learn - new Rush!! Woot! :-)

  • Jon

I would like to see you do this on your new acoustic set.

    Keep up the great work.

  • Sweet...first comment =)
