I've been looking for that commercial as well. He works on the jeans throughout the commercial, gives her the replica and keeps the original. I'm guessing it's Levi's but I really don't know for sure. Wish I could find it somewhere. If you do, let me know.
Anyone else remember the one where the guy takes another pair of jeans and does a lot of work on them to make them distressed and gives the fake pair to his girlfriend and keeps the original? I can't find it anywhere.
do you know where the levis 501 commercial where the girl is saying goodbye to her boyfriend at the trainstation or something and he gives her his jeans? i really liked that one and i can't find it anywhere
@zitalee2 It's with a guy saying goodbye to his girlfriend at the bus station because he's going in the army. I have that one and I have uploaded it, but Youtube mutes the sound because of copyright infringement, so I've deleted it. If you want I could send it to you.
@greekfilos No, I think s/he means a different one. In the commercial with Julian McMahon the guy arrives home FROM the army and takes of his uniform and puts on his jeans. In the other one the guy says goodbye to his girlfriend and it features the song "When a Man Loves a Woman".
@oonai5000 I believe he/she is talking about about the commercial where the guy gives his girlfriend a pair of jeans because he's leaving. They are his favorite pair and she knows it. He spends the commercial creating an exact replica of his favorite jeans to give to her and she buys it. He gets on the bus to leave and takes off the pair of pants to reveal his ACTUAL favorite jeans. I've been looking for that commercial as well and can't find it anywhere.
@jayaregee3 But that's not exactly what the other person described. He/she merely talked about a guy saying goodbye to his girlfriend at the train station and gives her his jeans. This is exactly what happens in the commercial 'Parting' which I already uploaded, except for the fact that it's a bus station. Unfortunately I do not have (or remember) the commercial you mentioned.
@zitalee2 I've just uploaded the commercial again. Apparently Youtube doesn't mute the sound anymore, although the video may be blocked in some countries.
This advert was sung by a chap named Tony Jackson. He also did the Heard It Through The Grapevine advert for Levi.
I worked with Tony who passed away in 2001.He also was the voice on the Libby UmBongo advert as well as others. Very talented guy. Was with the drifters for a while....
He is the speaking voice doing the intro on my video 'Don't Forget My Name' a remembrance song for soldiers.

Is the Levis commercial from circa 1986 available on YouTube. It was the one that Bobby McFerrin sang.
