  • OK can someone tell me What out of the 11 Doctors has missing/broken Episodes And What Doctors Has a full saved Episodes. Im on the 2nd Doctor right now and Im tired of the missing,Broken Episodes and inly part of the show is there and none of the others. So I like to know What Doctor has no Episodes Missing or broken and is all there.

  • @HazsoToD only the first two Doctors have any missing episodes, although the third has some that are only in black and white. There is a full list on Wikipedia.

Out of the 253 episodes from the 1st 2 doctors, 106 are missing, most of which are from the 3rd, 4th and 5th season. They do have the full audio though and they're on CD (with a bit of narration to explain what you can't see)

  • @Yetaxa Ok. I ask cause I remember hearing something about like by the time I get to the 3rd or 4th doctor all the episodes are Not damage, Missing or incomplete. And Seeing Im not the 2nd doctor about half way done with what they have for it I was wondering is all.

  • Though the 8th Doctor's movie was horrible, Paul McGann played a wonderful Doctor, and you cannot deny the epicness of his theme.

  • So I'm assuming Star Wars ripped off the hyperspace look from the fourth one?

  • i agree with the 'terribly' or rather i dont mind. (im from ny!) ive only seen the 11th dr (matt smith) and the spinny lines hurt my eyes! so yes WOHOO! GO TIME VORTEX! cnt wait for this upcoming christmas special. last years was amazing with the christmas carol feel and i havent seen rory in a month or so! (me and my friend made a dr. who bored game for family and consumer science (home ec.) it has history trivia, presant trivia, and dr.who trivia!)

  • It's probably not very Whovian of me. But the television movie one was my favourite intro to anything ever.

  • wats better cheese or doctor who???

  • Tom Baker forever!

  • As an "old who-bee" let me just say that there will always be a place for this series!!

  • From an American fan of the Doctor, your comment about the Americanization of the '96 telemovie was perhaps hard for some to hear, but it was important to put the finger on the problem after all.

  • you missed one in the colin baker years the bbc famously spent 20,000 on a redesigned title sequence where the face wad built from the skull in layers but this was only televised once as they got complaints it was far to sinister, i believe the episode it was aired on was ultimate foe part 1 but by the time it was brought to VHS they has altered it i have been searching for ages and cannot find an original recording anywhere

  • @rickyshaunjames I've never heard of this. Would love to see it. You'd think it would have been on one of the DVDs if it existed.

  • @vivalapsych apparently it's is out there on a dvd extra but apparently it is a american dvd release which suck's pretty badly i don't see why we don't get exactly what the americans get

  • NEEEEERRRRDD!!!

    XD

  • At 40 I remember watching the 4th Doctor as a child on PBS for years. I remember the 5th Doctor but after that I never was able to catch the show until the 10th Doctor and I will admit to loving the show as much as when I was a child.

  • My favourite is number7!!!

  • i was borne in 68 and the 3rd dr's theme(s) are the ones i think of as the dr's theme. all the newer ones just don't cut it, somehow.

i can remember being right pissed off when pertwee changed into tom baker. i hated him for a loooooooooooong time.

  • 9:36 : I LOVED that episode!! XD

  • what about delaware one?

  • 1200*

  • 2,000th like :D

  • i really dont know where to start watching doctor who, it looks awesome but i dont know where to start and i dont want to miss anything : /

  • @Lelouch1Suzaku If you start with the 2005 season, you won't be out of the loop and there are allot less season to catch up. But of course the ultimate goal is to watch all seasons new and old.

  • I love that you used intro from The Stolen Earth. I don't know many tv shows where I love all characters but all 4 seasons (with both Christopher and David) were amazing and I liked all characters although my favourite actors (and their characters) are David, Billie, John and Catherine.

  • 10's Theme FTW! (i have it on my ipod XD)

  • #4

    Tom Baker for the win....

  • I bet the Eighth Doctor had fun trying to dodge all those asteriods lol

  • Umm did the crappy movie dr count towards his total regenerations? Hope not

  • I just love how after almost 50 years the same old basic theme tune has survived =3

  • The fact Tom Baker has both of the best themes is no coincidence....

  • So I'm watching this video right

And I see "THE EMPTY CHILD/Steven Moffat"

    FFFFFFFFFFF-

Anyway, my new series order is:

    1. David Tennant - HOHYES

    2. Matt Smith - He just acts like an alien.

    3. Christopher Eccleston - Eh. He's good, he's just kind of a drag.

  • My new series top 3

    Eccleston

    Tennant

    Smith

Is Smith a bad doctor? No, but not as good as the others.

I still enjoy the series :)

  • How much Doctor Who has changed, yet stayed the same

  • Alright guys, I need all of your collective help. I need to find the duh duh duh duh build up music when he is about to solve a problem. I can't find it and it is driving me insane.

  • @justinching878787 Do you mean "I Am The Doctor"?

  • @justinching878787 Do you mean "I Am The Doctor"?

  • Whoever made this video, can i just say, i love you.

  • it's interesting on how the 2005 series on intros are based on the TV movie intro

  • just a tease of the themes really. Good effort, but I'd like to see/hear them all start to finish. They aren't that long. Thanks though.

  • The Collin Baker intros caused siezures in Japan .

  • All the episodes with David Tennant and Billie Piper were THE BEST!!! Especially the episodes with the children with gas masks for faces! Scary!!!

  • All the episodes with David Tennant and Billie Piper were THE BEST!!! Especially the episodes with the children with gas masks for faces! Scary!!!

  • @Soniccream um that was Christopher Eccleston's doctor the 9th Doctor..... and it was one kid with a gas mask, changing other people into that..

  • The next to last theme I really appreciated, as it harkened back to the Tom Baker theme. As a kid here in America I would watch Dr Who every Saturday night with an almost zealous fervor. The title theme would give me goosebumps as it felt timeless and vast, it felt like the kinetic universe, a great theme!

    Thumbs up for Tom Baker!

  • I am torn between Ecclestons and Tennants O_O They;re so SLIGHTLY different, but to me, who deals with music pretty constantly, I hear it, and I'm torn.

  • i was wondering is it worth buying the dvds in order to see doctors 1-8 or is the graphics to distracting?

  • @waterfiend100 Id go for it, they aren't all out on DVD though, might have to go looking for VHS copies if you want to get em all... and large volumes of Doctor 1 and especially 2's stories are irrevocably gone (face palms the BBC)... as for the look, you have to take it with a grain of salt, if you cant watch old sci fi normally you will find it a little hard to watch alot of the old DW. Turn off the critical part of your mind and watch it as if it was that decade and you'll love it :P

  • alot of the themes have simialare sounds

  • Thank you very much for making this! Brings back a lot of good memories!!

  • On the subject of your comment on the 8th Doctor's movie, I actually agree that it was. I liked the actor, and theme, but I didn't like anything else.

That aside, I like the first theme, as well as the 6th Doctor's theme, the 8th Doctor's, and all of the new series ones.

  • My father was a HUGE Doctor who fan...when he first saw it in colour he pissed himself!

  • Lol, at theme number three I said: "Oooohh! Colour!" out loud! XD

  • @MsMangaMaster omfg same and i suddenly felt strange like im high or something!

  • @ghoulia21 RIGHT!? I went all: "holy God! IT'S IN FREAKIN COLOUR!!!!"

  • cool video

    im subscribing

    itss gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

  • cool video

    im subscribing

  • cool video

  • cool video

  • My favourites are the 8th and the 10th =]

  • Has to be said , the american version was complete cack , my favourite being Delias.

  • 5:27 is my favourite theme tune and sequence by far :)

  • I actually enjoyed the TV movie, if only because Paul McGann really was a great Doctor and I wish we could have seen more of him.

  • i have a slight crush on peter davison. look hes kinda cute.

  • if you eat too much the the "crappy spinning lines" make you puke.

  • I love the dramatic transition you did to 9th doctor..great compilation!!!

  • 1:38: Darth Vader

  • I'm probably in the minority, but I love the Eighth Doctor's theme.

  • Just curious if you're still planning a Matt Smith update?

  • @MorsecodeZ I'm not completely sure at the minute, I think I will most likely will upload an update, I started making one a while back but never finished it, but I still have the files on my computers.

If I do resume it, then I'll upload it around about the time the next series begins airing.

  • @LexicaOne Hi, I just wondering about you 9th and 10th and 11th Doctor Who DVD's if they skip alot for you. Because my DVD's does skip alot for me. I told the seller on ioffer.com place and he told me that my DVD player needs to be clean. I told him that my DVD player works fine. Because my other DVD's works fine on my new DVD player that my mom brought for me. Because it has Blu-Ray that plays Regular and Blu-ray disc fine.

  • @amycallie123 My DVDs work fine. I own series 1 to 4, in voume form (not the boxsets, just the singular 3-episodes-per-disk versions) but they work fine. I can't speak for the 11th Doctor episodes as I haven't bought those yet, and I'm planning to buy them on Bluray soon anyway. But yeah, if other DVDs work fine for you then I can't think what the problem might be. You could try asking on some kind of DVD forum perhaps? Or perhaps even a Dr Who forum?

  • @amycallie123

I realise that this is probably an answer that is really too late, but if I may offer a thought on your malfunctioning Dr. WHO DVDs . . .

You probably have a bad batch of DVDs or DVD burns. This happens on occassion, a set of badly made DVDs are burned, get missed in quality control, and then sold to an unlucky consumer. If you can, the best thing to do is to return the boxed set and get a new one, those will probably work fine.

  • David Tennants titles have a brighter vortex, the contrast looks brighter coz the blue vortex is bluer and the red is reder

  • Awesome work.

  • errr yeh

  • This is my response to the title for the movie: O_O And that's not in a good way. In my opinion, you can't Americanize British things and you can't Britize (or whatever) American things. Imagine if they had tried to Americanize the music of the Beatles. You just can't do that!

  • Fourth doctor's theme was easily the best, due to the fact that my brain associates it with Tom Baker.

  • @Andernerd lol the fourth doctors theme is the same as jon pertwees theme and a bit shorter than troughtons theme

  • Title Number 6 - Fourth Doctor is obviously visually inspired by the main titles of Superman, would I be right? I'm looking at IMDb, his last year was 1981. I think it would be fair to assume it was inspired by the Superman movie credits

  • the earlier stuff i'd put on repeat, full screen, get high and let the good times roll.

i'd probably get paranoid out of my head, though, because in all honesty, the earlier themes (pre-rebooted series) are quite creepy, you must admit.

great theme and thanks for uploading the compilation

  • 10th doctor 'nuff said

  • Comment removed

  • The eleven themes of awesome!

  • 5th doctor's is cool but its the same at the last version of 4th doctor's

  • I really like very much Silvester McCoy intro

  • fyi, the tunnel is the time vortex, and im sorry to sound like im moaning but the movie didnt fail miserably, i enjoyed it and have it on dvd

  • Second last one has the best logo... in my opinion.

  • 26 Daleks disliked this video. Thanks so much for taking the time to compile and compare the various DW themes!

  • You seem to have missed the theme version from the first Christmas special.

  • i like the third to last theme + intro the most.

  • Thanks for posting this! I only recently got hooked on doctor who. I caught the right episode with david tennant then watched seasons 1-4 over a couple weeks. I haven't started watching much of the tom baker or any of the other doctors really. I'm just not ready yet.. :(

  • that's not exactly 10th doctor title sequence in terms of the super fast titles of the actors names. that was only for one episode or so, though I understand you might have chosen this special version because the 9th and 10ths versions are different but it's barely able to make out the difference apart from the actor's title name change but the other doctors opening sequences were similar.can you explain why you chose the rarer version of the 10th doctors title seq? it shouldnt matter really soz

  • @SashaRicky I uploaded this video a month or so after the series 4 finale was aired. I wanted to use the latest version of the titles, which at that point was the titles used in The Stolen Earth/ Journey's End as they were the most recent episodes at the time; that was the main reason, but I also chose it for the reasons you said; to differentiate between the 9th Doctor's titles and the 10th Doctor's titles.

  • @LexicaOne thank you for letting me know. :) forgot to say this is AMAZING!! you are so lovely and brilliant and polite as well, thank you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • 26 people hid behind the sofa

  • I know the eighth doctor ;) x

  • Really new music starts at 0:16, 3:29, 5:28, 6:15, 7,15, 8:25, and 9:06.

    Great video!

  • <3 Tom Baker + David Tennant!!! Best doctors EVER!!!

  • i love the 8th one!

  • tom baker awesome david tennant not enough words to describe him and matt smith-crazy and wacky!!!

  • TOM BAKE + DAVID TENNANT 4EVER!

  • @bimbo202 TOM BAKER was the best time lord EVA EVA DAVID T WAS GOOD TOO I always enjoyed and still do the baker one's the best . do you like the new Dr who on BBC I can't really get into it. let me know maybe i could start watching it if you like it but I have no interest now WHAT was your fav baker episode ?

  • Wow my 7th theme I like is coming up next

  • freaking awesome....i love "Doctor Who"!

  • the 2nd tune made me feel sick

  • this is way cool.thank you

  • Sir

(I'm going to reply to you in a lame BBC letter manner)

When your video started, I was ready to tear the wall down about someone making another compilation that had overtaken something the whovian youtube world had already seen. However, your descriptions entertained me. I was born in 1981, the earliest memory of mine was of Colin Baker being drawn into sand. The next memory was that I remember being in love with MCcoy.

  • In the middle parts I don't know. In 1996 I had discovered my teenage youth. The last thing that happened to me in the growing up stage was my excitement for the return. Now I look back at it... why wasn't the star of Withnail and I put up for a series! Anyway, none of that is the point!...

  • Consider yourself lucky sir. I never saw your name before when I was searching for Whovian video exlusives but the rest of the internet hasn't even noticed it yet. Fantastic!

  • I've just seen The Sarah Jane Chronicles. Matt Smith verbally confirmed that regeneration can happen 507 times. Yes we all thought it was 13 and then he wass dead but thankfully the writers have now got the infitiy we want since the new series revealed itself. I'm hammered. I wasn't today watching CBBC but hell, I am now. We don'ever have to worry again.

  • Comment removed

  • how did you know about Matt Smith In 2008 ?

  • @dalekjoe8 You can change the video title and add annotations at any time after the video has been posted.

  • ...Does anyone else see the irony in calling the eighth Doctor's film "americaniZed"?

  • @HexReinette

Not especially. The S vs Z is actually based on the word's etymology: Latinate or Greek.

  • @KaitainCPS ....I don't really see how. For a start, there are no Latin endings, as far as I'm aware, that use a letter 'z'. I'm less sure about Greek endings as I've learnt less Greek than Latin.

Also, surely a word's etymology can't be Latinate or Greek - it should be one or the other (unless it's a compound word)?

And really, it isn't a question of the word's etymology, it's a question of modern differences between American and English spelling. English tends to use an s, not a z.

  • @KaitainCPS And, sorry to sound like a pretentious little twat >.< I don't mean to. I'm just not sure what, exactly, you're trying to say.

  • Actually the theme tune altered with more of a banjo, jangling quality when Tennant came in.

Eccles version is still the best Doctor and theme. Evening all.

  • You are seriously asking about a time limit on a DW video?

  • If you pause at 0:29,

you can see the DOCTOR WHO

    clearly saying "OHO"

OMG I JUST BECAME TEH STAR OF

    GREAT TV MISTAKEZ!

    :D

  • @YoshiBoy1318 also at 1:45

once it gets the diamondish logo, it stops.

PS I will not critisize the 8th Doctor film

    I watched it

    and I loved it

  • someone told me that the dr who theme tune was the first ever piece of music created completely electronically so in other words all electronic music comes back to this one way or another

  • @niallos123

That's not quite true, but it is the first piece of entirely electronic music created for a commercial project, mkaing it extremely imporanthistorically.

  • 26 people are daleks!!!!!!!

  • Why the hell is everyone having a go at Brits in a Doctor Who themed comment section? What the fuck is everyone smoking over here? I hope all know Doctor Who is... kinda... kinda British [sarcasm intended]

  • hands down senen has the best theme ever!

  • This is great! Thank you for posting this!

  • wow wow wow people we shouldn't be fighting after all the Scifi Genre was founded on the principle of breaking down the social barriers of man kind we should all have good will towards each other and unit In our nerdy fandom of doctor who

  • I wouldn't bother making a new vid for the Matt Smith series mate. It doesn't deserve to be in with these others. It's lost its eeriness, the rolling base dum-dee-dum has completely gone and my old school band seem to be doing it instead now.

  • lovly video :) and i dont care if matt smiths isn't on there

  • listen closely to the eccleston theme then the hartnel theme. Its almost the same

  • PLEASE don't apologise for the "Americanization" of the movie. I try not to watch Brit shows if they've been redone in U.S. (the Mr. Bean move, i.e.) because something is lost in the translation. I just don't appreciate the liberties taken. I prefer Brit humour over American, and yes, I'm a born and bred American. Some things should just not be messed with. I haven't seen Matt Smith, yet. So far my favorite Dr is a toss-up between Davison and Tennant.

  • Putting the people's faces like that on the screen like they did on 3-10 was really creepy.

They start getting good at №11. I think 13 is my favourite even if you include the Matt Smith one at №14.

  • David Tennant rulz!

  • the one at 3.34 is my favourite

  • Wow.. never realized how much the new series themes are inspired from the Movie theme.

  • I thought the limit was like half and hour <--- What a noob!

  • Good old Doctor Oho.

  • haha the 3rd sequence is mad

  • This is really good! XD

  • were can i download these?

  • all version are eerie! cool video.

  • Am I the ONLY British Who fan to like the 90s film?

  • 3:30 Later, at the Hall of Justice...

  • You missed the Delaware theme

  • I don't see the americanisation as a bad thing. The revival has alot more in common with the TV movie than the classic series (awesome soundtrack, focus on drama and acting). I quite liked the movie, with the exception of the Master, and the revelation that the doctor was part human.

  • I love you for putting this up here.

  • Its fun to look at all the old themes and then you see the new theme and the time vortex seems to go incredibly fast

  • I think my favorite 2 were the very 1st one, and the one for the 9th Doctor.

  • What is the name of the Actor who played the doctor just before Matt Smith/ The newest actor for the newest season. Sorry, i'm just getting into Dr. Who and I don't know them all yet.

  • @FIXER957 You mean the 10th Doctor? That's David Tennant.

  • soo are there movies AND a tv seiries and if so woudl it make more scense to start with the tv series or movies im just wondering

(because im in the middle of catching up on my anime i would start it later :) )

  • Even if the Doctor who film is mediocre, is it still worth checking out?

  • What's up with this crap about the 1996 movie being "americanized"? It was just adapted from one format to another, hence the difference.

  • just wondering, someone uploaded a vid where each verion of the thr theme went in the next. but i can't find it.

  • Does anyone know where I could find the American telemovie, I understand it was crap, but I'd still like to see it, if anyone knows where to look.

  • i love the docter who them

  • Very good video explaining most of the doctor who theme song's Thank you

  • I forgot that in the stolen earth that they had to show all the actors in the title. XD

and 27 people must've missed the like button!

  • wow 27 people have bad aim

  • The final theme has about .3 seconds of footage, enough for me to recognize the theme was taken from my favorite episode "The Forgotten Earth". When I first saw that episode, I was reluctant to make the jump from Christopher to David. But Billie Piper popping up in the title kept me interested. (Bring back Rose and you bring back me!)

Also, I love the close up on the Tardis in the three new themes, rotating and then slipping into another stream of time. Love it.

  • I'm an AMerican and agree with you about the telemovie being Americanized. I noticed the pacing was totally different than the British.

  • i like it i hate the matt smith ones please sub me

  • The newest is the best i would say. :)

  • i dont think i like the 8th theme that much : / tries to be too heroic

  • 1st reminds me of an antique haunted house.

2nd made me feel like I went thru a bad acid trip.

3rd is like I am visiting Tron thru Star Trek's warp speed.

    4th is kinda kewl.

5th makes me want to play Atari.

6th makes me want to ride a celestial steed.

7th makes me feel like I have worms wriggling behind my ears.

9th makes me want 2 punch the 80's n the face.

12th Is a bit better simply b/c I'm the most familiar w/ it & the sound is smoother

13th is by far the best.

  • Very good attempt . You missed 4 versions of the theme thought ( 5 with mat smith )

so not ever single one .

The "Delaware" version .A Rejected version of the who theme , but still found its way on to a few episode
