I fucking HATE the new look; it's fucking stupid! Glossy black with crome is so much better! The PS3 was the most bad-ass looking system, until now. As if Sony couldn't have kept the old color scheme. By the way, the first 80gb release is still the overall best when taking backwards compatability, usb ports, color scheme, and hdd size into account. That's what I have, and I replaced the HDD with a 500gb, so now it's even better.

The Slim possibly might but they stopped the backwords compatibility a while back and there's rumors that they're bringing it back. The early 80 and 60 gb models had them and I think the 20gb as well. But Sony somehow managed to mess up the backwards compatibility and the PS2 games come out all choppy with jaged edges, which Sony can fix with a simple patch

i like the old ps3 better, this one looks cheaply made,look at the eject and power buttons, they are buttons, not like the ps3 which are touch sensitive. its going to overheat really quickly by looking at its size.And either way, i wasted 500$ on a ps3 and im not going to buy one becuase its only smaller.

it will probably use the same hard drives the current ps3 does. hopefully you can just swap your hdd over to the slim but you'll probably have to reformat it and loose your saves. i just got a 320gb hdd for my ps3 too so i'm hoping i can use it in the slim

The Playstation 3 is nowhere near getting maxed out. It's at around 55% and the Xbox 360 is at about 90%. If you understand the hardware and engineering you will understand what I am talking about, both have graphical upgrades left but the PS3 has a chance to double what is already been shown to us. All the developers need to do is find new ways to work with the technology. If you take a look at a cross platform game and then a PS3 exl you will the the PS3 exl is much better. All about coding!
