Thats the best Mancunian accent I've heard in ages. . .
Seriously though, thanks for this. Really funny piece. The fall was not in the script. But adds to it's comedic charm I must say. "Well it was a nice trip!". Brilliant! Thank you Roger for being you.
Thanks for posting this. Suppose that Bond had come to television a'la The Saind instead of movies... Indeed, the 007 canon would still make good television if the period setting was maintained from the books.
Ian Fleming saw him on tv and liked him so much he was one of his favourites to play his novel agent.
Rumour has it Roger Moore was approached to do You only live twice in 1967 but the producers feared the audience would just think it was "The Saint" in a James Bond movie.
He was again considered as Bond in OHMSS in 1969.
Sean Connery recommended Moore to the producers and believed he would be a fine Bond. The rest is history.
Holy crap, Roger looks really different.

What DVD/Blu-Ray is this on?

Reminds me very much of the semi-Bond roles that Brosnan took after losing out on 'The Living Daylights' and before 'Goldeneye.'
