I had to go through the chicken exit when I was six in 95. I have to say this place was the shit in the 90's now its all gone to shit. The entire park that is. no more just being able to walk the boardwalk for free. now its 30 dollars to get across the bridge. The musty smell and the big ass spiders are still there, but they are trying to get rid of the carp. stupid corporate a-holes.

@2ru11sh2 Lol someone lied to you then. You got ripped off if you paid $30 just to walk in without getting a wristband. Admission is $5 now, but they give you a cool cash card with the $5 on it to use anywhere in the park which you would most likely spend on food at some point anyway. It doesn't cost to just walk around. And up until this summer, it was free admission. Before that, I remember it being $2 for the longest time. Free for a few years, now $5 that you get back anyway.

@h0ss88 yeah 5 buck card an you can add cash to it but every ride cost like 3-6 bucks so you get a band for 29$ then you can go on anything. their just like gratamerica but with way less rides. it used 2 be 10$ for the all day bracelet........ps its almost time for HOCKEY!

When my family went there this year, it was rainy, and of course, i was terrified.

I didnt want to go in, so when i did i was glued to my fathers back, my face in his t-shirt.

We had a blast, when we went in the room of doors we chose all the doors before the right one. It was so funny.

Then we went on rollercosters in the rain.

It was our best time in Indiana :]

The basic haunted house isn't. But the electronics meant to scare you will be silent, but when the motion censors go off its loud as hell and echos. I was more scared mentally xD and its dark as hell

Was there last weekend, the castle was $3.50 to get in. After paying for P.O.P??? Didn't actually go in :{ been there a zillion times tho, we got a cottage on the lake and drive up there alot in the summer. Btw, they just started using barcoded bracelets for pops....the barcode readers sucked tho, none of them worked. Last weekend was their trial run. Lots of bugs to work out XD

maaaaaaaaaaannnn! the memories this brought back! my dad would take us here every year since i was born until we moved. they have changed the layout of that haunted house soooo many times since i can remember. they had the prison in the basement removed, the upside down room....was that there when you went. its during the rat hall. if i could just go there and smell the musty smell of my childhood there lol.

Back in 2005 I taken a friend there (the haunted castle) I let him walk ahead of me. I wanted to see his reaction when he went past the motion sensor things. He thought they were funny. Too bad they enclosed the balcony part that drops down towards the band.

Your video trip certainly seemed different than my experience. Since when did they make the room of doors dark? The last time I went you could see fine in there. Without the light from your camera, you would never know there were 10 doors.

The light from your camera also revealed a few things that the average person would never see, like what is on the floor in the rats hall. That is a total trip! Kind of ruins it.

Na, that would eliminate the room of doors, and the rat hall, and several other effects that I won't mention. they would also have to gut the entire building to put in tracks.

Not to mention the confusing layout. You think you are done, and end up on the third floor. And have to go back in! takes quite a while to walk through the attraction. very cool.

The Den of lost thieves used to be a cool ride through haunted house. they turned it into a shooting gallery ride. made it even cooler.

No the elevator does not go anywhere. About 2 years ago they increased the "special effects" of it. Like the rest of the Haunted House, I fondly remember when it had almost no special effects stuff.

The video quality is bad, I know. The video I shot in 1999 and 2000 was on an analog tape camcorder. The video shot in 2001 was on digital tape. Plus, I was always afraid of being kicked out for shooting video in there.

Hey, I worked there from 1999 to 2001! The music and sound effects will probably stick with me forever. This video doesn't do it justice what with people commenting and the blurry footage. We have had problems getting the levitating corpse to function properly. It's supposed to get a lot closer to the window.

In 2000, all of us castle employees did a Blair Witch parody as we walked through the castle for the employee talent show and it was quite funny considering we ad-libbed the whole thing. I have the two songs from the zombie band on a cd.

I actually worked there for 4 years (2004-2007) and I have to say, this video doesn't do it justice. As for the comment about it needing actors, that is just plain wrong. There are "actors" at the begining when you are on the elevator. Granted, we aren't always on our best game, but we are actors nonetheless. It was voted the #1 and #2 Walkthrough Haunted Attraction in the midwest for like four years, so we must have been doing something right.

worst haunted house ive ever seen. Go to the beast in kansas city. edge of hell is right next to it too. the beast is the 3rd scariest haunted house in america plus fun slide at end and most of it is robots. its also a huge maze. look up beast video and youll see the beast guy.
