Its very simple to figure out, the hole in the coin is a obvious give away too. By the time the spears are through she has already crossed over via some kind of cat flap mechanism, the hole in the middle of the coin is just so she can wave the wand with her arms through the other side. I like paul daniels, he made all of his own equipment, but he didnt quite have the finesse I remembered. he does alot of things that give away the trick. Entertaining nonetheless xxx

He forgot to ask everybody does anybody know why the little hole in the middle of the coin is there....

A) it's for PEEKING (Peking)

This one seems relatively simple. She passes through the large coin (by whatever trick mechanism there is) before the spears are put in place, and is easily able to reach her arm back through the coin and up through the hole to wave the flag on the other side. This would have a better effect if they could manage to have the girl in the box wave the flag through a hole that is at the far end of the box.

this is why I love old fashioned magic. They concentrated on story, on everything around it, and not just hot girls dancing before and after the effect
