@ bhanat brother there is no such things as superstitions in the religion of Islam or any of it's teachings. The superstitions that exit are from the the Individual beliefs of the people themselves. Many that I know of come from there cultural backgrounds.

@rydhwan could be due to jinn. deep intractable depression is very common. of course doctors think that it is due to chemicals in brain that are either depleted or low like serotonin and sometimes even will treatment such MAOIs and SSRIs (to increase these substances) it doesn't work. so I think to just say it's chemical it may not be correct. I think something else..could it be jinn? maybe...take them some of these guys to see if they can help.

I've pretty much tried everything they offer out there...but then the doctor/counsellor/psychologist will tell me that its not the right medication u are taking...or not the right book you are reading..or the right counsellor etc...I cant seem to find the ONE right answer which is why i will be trying ruqyah this Wednesday with someone Abu Muhammad refered me to via email.i feel suicidal

@rydhwan i wouldnt say i had suffered from depression before.. but there was a point it my life i have thought of suicide quite frequently and feelings of sadness and guilt overwhelmed me. I cant remember much of that time but i remember i kept telling myself how Allah would not like me killing myself. How allah would be angry with me.How i am ungrateful to allah. I changed from thinking of myself and how i felt to how allah would think of me and my present behavior..Alhamdulilah. i recovered.
