while watching cable tv some channels are good, could be better sometimes but thats not the tvs fault if you want to see best hi res you got to watch a blu ray ;D

For high definition, you need a blu ray player, a 1080p(i) TV, and some blu ray movies.

ya kinda, the way i have mine setup is the speakers connect to the reciever which is just like a box that can change signals and stuff from the reciever one hdmi cable goes to my ps3 and one goes to my tv that is just my setup, you can try hooking your ps3 to your dvd player im not sure if it will work but you will probally need to by a few cables if you go to a place like best but there will show you how to set it up so you get the best picture and sound

uhm why would you wanna hook up your PS3 to surround if you have a sound system for PC and you have a pretty new flatscreen you can just put the surround system into the Audio Plug for PC most TV's will also play the sound the PS3 makes i got the JBL scs 200.5 which is a 5.1 home cinema which requires a Amplifier so if ya got a home cinema set you also need a amplifier my PS3 is connected with my amplifier which is connected with my TV my amplifier is the Pioneer VSX 520K
