Heres another combination. u dont have to use sam

DRG/Mage, then get your wyvern's tp to 200, then you get your tp to 100+.

Engage the mob u want to SC on, then hit once and turn your back.

Let your wyvern get hit so u can spirit link.

So once ur wyvern is hit, weaponskill, then spirit link to get 100+ tp again, then weaponskill, then either 2hr or use icarus wing to ws again

@dbuman you'd have to disengage after your wyvern being hit and WS before your first hit so your wyvern doesn't use its TP. and you wouldn't be able to use your 2hr to complete a 3rd WS, because your wyvern would use it's TP after your second WS. and using a wing isn't really possible to repeat. i recommend chain affinity if you really want to do this often.

@dbuman You would need to disengage a lot for this to work. Once after your wyvern takes a hit, so that you can WS before you attack, and again after you use spirit link. (That is of course if you're using your 2hr for the 3rd WS, rather than the TP wing.)

Can we still do this even? Every time I attempt it, I can't get spirit surge off before Jessie eats her TP. I spoke to a GM about it, and received the usual runaround. His response, however, was indicative to a delay change to prevent "exploitation" issues, or something to that extent.

Restating my question, is this still possible?

Watch the video closely. You must use your first weapon skill immediately after engaging, BEFORE attacking. This will prevent your wyvern from using it's TP and will allow you to Spirit Surge stealing it's TP. Good Luck.

The reason he spammed macros was first of all because he has to be fast. Secondly he started with 100+ TP (so did his wyvern) so he had to Spirit Surge BEFORE his wyvern used its breath attack and waste his TP. Hasso instead of seigan/third eye so he can get hit a few times for that extra bit of TP. Pwned.

Elvaan if you want massive STR/att

Galka if you want good VIT/def(I also believe that VIT effects your jumps if I'm not mistaken, so there's a bonus there too if it does)

Hume if want a balanced DRG that can be gear tilted

Taru if you want a high mp pool for soloing as /mage

Mithra if you want high acc/crit rate

To be honest race doesn't matter with DRG it's easy to comp with gear.

drg/sam isnt for the tp asmuch as the seigen + third eye combo, in a merit pt your alternative is pretty much /nin so thank god there is /sam. And anyone that complain (in a merit party) that /war would help more on damage, well /war would give major downtime cus of all the waisted mp for cure. However the best merit partys there is are drg/magex3+ makes a mage unneeded^^ Sadly for endgame stuff such as JoJ gods and other stuff /thf is very nice too

For soloing it's tough to beat white mage, but for parties (at least pre-60) you'll be better off with warrior. WHM, WAR, SAM, BLU. That'll get you everything you could need.

/whm is good for curing breath and self heals at least for soloing, /dnc seems good you can self heal and your dragon still dose elemental breath attacks

/Dnc isn't as good as /mage in most situations as DRG has low evasion and will be taking more dmg than it can heal.

However I guess it could come in handy if you're fighting mobs where you need to keep HP as close to 100% at all times, in case they have a 800dmg tp move or something. Being hit by that when you're hovering around 50% isn't good xD Like elder Gobbues.

There are three tiers for skillchains, with higher tiers possessing more element attributes and allowing more elements to magic burst off them. Tier 1 skillchains (Scission, Detonation, etc) only allow one element to magic burst. Tier 2 (Distortion, Gravitation, etc) allow 2, and tier 3 (Light, Darkness) allow 4 elements.

Even tho DRK and DRG are good DDs there are more DDs in the game than those two SAMs are more versatile in game even if DRK or DRG can sub SAM for meditate don't forget its a gimped meditate also for 70 TP at least, damage from DDs differs from gear/skill/race of the character not just the job

Meikyo shisui end game is actually kinda useless, other then passing the TP to someone else using Shikikoyo. Try and hit gods and the super hard core HNMs with it and you will prolly miss all your ws. minus the one you SA'd on. Or if you have uber sam/rng gear. you might hit those.

250(reg hit)~510(on crit) with 16 hits you break 4k

and too anyone whose used a Kclub, you know how easy it is to hit 16 times in 30s >_> most likely you'll get in the range of like 35~40 hits in 30s

35*250(no crits/avg hit speed)=8750 damage in 30s

well now sam got the new updateabillity for 2handed weapons so iguess this could m,ake up for berserk as it is a abillity you can keep up the hole fight. You lose double attack and voke, the voke part is a bit sad for sk, but if the other jobs are competent to actually work whit the drg and not against it. :)

A lot. Barone Cosciales gives "Jump" TP Bonus as well as Corazza if I remember. Corazza is the body armor, Cosciales are the boots. I'm working on getting a Corazza, cosciales was only 260k or so, but Corazza is around 16M if you buy AH. I'm going with a crafter, so I'll hit more in the range of 8-10M.
