@cannabis29 im driving excavators in pits 11 years and i seen loads of tracks come off..loading and moving across blast rock puts alot of stress on the pads and then idllers get worn and slip back to leave tracks loose..quarries and mines are the one place that tracks do come the most not ever day but they do come off and ive seen it happen to men that drove them all their lives ...
@cannabis29 Yep i totally agree with you,i have been operating them for 20 years and normally the only time they will come off like you say, would be maintanance schedules falling behind, worn componentry, and sometimes the operator not doing the right thing. We dig heave shots(first flitch of a new blast)where you are sitting on very undulating soft ground,if your walking gear is not up to scratch your most likely to spit one then. But i must add our 996's are very very well maintained. ;) cheers
To be fair, their not the best as far as performance goes and their certainly not the best to work on from a maintanence perspective. Not a bad machine though, and their popularity in Australia shows this. Is this at Mt.Artur?
i love this machine

@supershovel if a track came off..it would be a major job to get it back on..k
cannabis29 1 year ago
@cannabis29 Tracks just dont come off,you would have to be doing something very wrong for that to happen.
