  • huh huh, "420"

  • easiest way to win money, the clock game!

  • IS THAT AN HD TV HE WAS TRYING TO WIN???

  • where's bob?

    oh, there he is.

  • Back then it was a color TV

    Now its a 3D TV

  • $560 for that hunk of junk??

  • @jayfiver It wasn't a hunk of junk back then. You got to realize one thing, this show was recorded in 1972.

  • I'm sure he meant 7 seconds.

  • 420! :D

  • I say let's get Bob Barker in a time machine, make him young again, then put him back on TPIR and replace that colossal bore that took his place.

  • Never seen the original "Clock Game" before, but it's a fun game. Back then, there was no $1,000 bonus until two or three decades later. This was first time and the only time that it doesn't say "Clock Game" on the bottom until they added back in the late 70's or early 80's with that font used in the credits from the TV show "What's Happening?"

  • 2:10

7 minutes? I thought that clock goes by seconds.

  • Look at Bob's amazing bulletproof hairdo!

  • A color TV!!!

  • "4/20, Bob"

  • I want an HDTV with that kickass wood panelling.

  • This was a few days after The Price Is Right with Bob Barker debut. WOW!! Bob looks much healthier and younger. 48-years-young!!

  • Bob Barker is a good looking guy

  • Hold up .. Is this Bob?!

  • Yes.

  • I love how the audience said "Higher" or "Lower" in perfect unison.

  • wow a color t.v., i guess it was more of a grand prize then than now

  • the audience didn't really help him, they were just repeating what Bob was saying, higher or lower

  • Bob said 7 minutes, instead of seconds! Anyone else catch it?

  • Gotta love the wood paneling on that TV!

  • In this day and age, a stagehand holds up a big "SHHHH!" sign while the clock is running when they play this game. It seems so different with the audience shouting "higher" and "lower" with Bob.

  • @jeopardy60611 How do you know that?

  • this is 1972, colour TV's were still pretty new. But $560 damn, that is still pretty high for even todays standards. It's cool to see how prices have changed.

  • he said at 7 minutes remaining at 2:11

  • In 1972 They gave away Color TV's. Today they give away HD Plasma Screen TV's.

  • lol 420 , weed

  • fail

  • epic at that.

  • Bob looked so uncomfortable hosting this show back then.

  • Wow, Barker's a young man in this one! He has dark hair!

  • 560 FOR A COLER TV LOL xXx

  • bob said he had 7 minutes remaining lol

  • haha, i missed it at first but he did, didnt even try to correct himself either.

  • I think it was pretty cool to have the audience scream "Higher" "Lower"

  • "A color tv and a barset!"

    haha

  • When I saw the title I thought that the audience shouted out an answer.. ha

  • $420 doesn't that sound familiar? Love GSN but our darn cable company took it out of their channel lineup.

When TPIR premiered in 1972 it was called The New Price Is Right but after the 1st season the New part was dropped and was called The Price Is Right.

  • GSN dropped TPiR several years ago, anyways.

  • i miss gsn showing the price is right too thats why i dont get gsn .

  • LOL The price of the bar was $420. Little would Bob know that decades later, that same number would become the object for another contestant's 15 minutes of fame (you know what I'm talking about).

  • Amen, brotha!

  • Ah, the good old days of Game Show Network. I miss seeing the old TPIR episodes on GSN.

  • a color a tv lol

  • ohh emm eff gee, is THAT bob barker???!!! wow...

  • 420 ehh?

  • Uhhhhhhhh.... The New Price is Right.

  • Uhhhhhhhh.... The New Price is Right.

  • OMFG A TV!!LOL

  • A 42" LCD TV... now THAT'S more like it, today!

  • He won the bar...became an alcoholic, then sued the show for 150 million

  • LOL

  • Lol man this is old if they had to say it a color tv.

  • Well, even for 1972, color was fairly new for televisions at the time.

  • 420 BOB!!! this time it wouldve worked

  • Neat to see these early videos of TPIR.

  • 1972, damn. $560 for a colour TV, that's alot for today's tv's, and back then 560 was ALOT of money. Amazing jumping back and forth between 3 generations and seeing the differences!

  • Bob told the audience not to shout out the price...didn't say anything about "Higher" or "Lower"! ;)

  • Right, anyone caught shouting out the price was removed from the studio.

  • 420!!!

  • Yeah. Big freakin' deal.

  • I know...

  • Did anyone ever notice that Bob says "he got it with seven MINUTES remaining"? (@2:11)

  • lol bob had brain fart there

  • This was the first playing, I believe. I'll check and get back to you.

  • Nope. It debuted one week earlier.

    LONG LIVE BOB BARKER!!

  • audience helps on contesttant
