Why would you do this? The whole point of having 2 cameras is that it takes an INSTANT picture. I.e. - of an airshow or something (bad example, but you get the point...you couldn't take two pictures on that).

Lame. As someone who has done 3D video before, about the only interesting part is the filter or whatever they put on the screen so you could view 3D without glasses. Without 2 lenses you can't get true 3D, and taking 2 pictures with the same lens isn't at all the same. (the exception to this would be an adapter to a 4K professional video camera for making 1080p videos as there would be no loss of quality and it would act as 2 cameras at the same time. I wouldn't want one if they gave it to me
