  • which one is the puppet and which one is the real one i couldnt tell...!!

  • @physioloogist1

New Zealand may be the area she was born and raised in, but she's clearly a mixed Black girl.

  • 8 people dont live in kansas city.

  • @4vheads correction: 6.7 billion minus 2.2 million people don't live in kansas city

  • oops, think i was wrong, she is Asian-Kiwi; sorry !

  • she is not black- she is Asian-Australian; where did u get the idea she is black ?

  • I'm a figure of eight too. :)

  • Anyone notice how much Connie looks like Fuzzy off Video Hits..?

  • I live in Kansas City, and I love you.

  • It's amazing how plastic surgery can make you look so fake and plastic like.

  • @Valkyriepure I'm not really sure what you mean by that, considering SSS are all natural, one of the many reasons they rock is Connie looks how a real woman should: incredibly beautiful just as she is!

  • @Valkyriepure thats why its called plastic surgery...

  • those puppets should have been in chucky

  • Looks at the number of dislikes, well somebody is Kansas City obviously does not love them.

    ;D Excellent Song, Excellent Band

  • Connie is my Wife hahahahahaqhahahahha

  • NOT anymore.

  • The Puppets Rock...its like the aussie version of Team america..

  • what's happened with Sneaky Sound System, haven't heard from them in a while.

  • LOVE this song. so damn catchy

  • hahahahaha AWESOMEs

  • love this song !!

  • Being from Kansas City I cannot express how annoyed I am at seeing the Wizard of Oz reference, being that Kansas City, despite the name, is based in Missouri, not Kansas. I really cannot blame an Australian band in being confused though being that so many Americans are also, but people seriously need to stop connecting the two.

  • @ChiefsRoyalsTigers Being from Australia, I cannot express how annoyed I am at your patronising AND geographically incorrect comment. I had the absolute pleasure of spending a year in KCMO as an exchange student where I not only learned that there is also a Kansas City KANSAS but also it's the third largest city in Kansas so instead of bagging them for being "confused" why don't you accept that the person who loves her is possibly in the Kansas part of Kansas City!

  • @torstar1967 Easy pal, my comment was not incorrect. Kansas City is "based" in Missouri which is quote what I said. Go back and reread my post. "Based in Missouri." I cannot argue with your point about the possibility of the person referenced in the song being someone from Kansas City, KS but c'mon. You and I both know the video director didn't know that THE Kansas City, the biggest and most recognizable one, is BASED in Missouri.

  • @ChiefsRoyalsTigers Your now deleted comment about what school I attended -- You state that you went to OPHS in Kansas City, MO. By OPHS, do you mean Overland Park High School? Because that would be in Johnson County, Kansas, not KCMO which stands for Kansas City, Missouri. Are you sure you topped American Geography? - was also patronising. The OPHS I attended was Oak Park High School in Gladstone, a suburb of KCMO. You really do need to do some more study don't you?

  • @torstar1967 I deleted my comment because all this talk about Kansas had me associate OP with Overland Park. Shortly after I posted it it occurred to me that you were probably talking about Oak Park high school which I should of realized right off the bat being that I went to NKC. In regards to my original post it doesn't really matter. I was kind of hoping you could at least acknowledge my original response to you about my "incorrect geography" about the city I was born and raised in.

  • @ChiefsRoyalsTigers Hey mate, at the end of the day we both know that Kansas City rocks and while the reference in the song is stereotypical, it's still a killer song about a killer city and I'm sure Sneaky Sound System never meant to offend! I hope the city still shines as brightly as when I was there on both the Missouri AND Kansas sides x

  • @torstar1967 I couldn't agree with you more on that. I am just very proud of where I am from and get frustrated that my city is constantly attached to the Wizard of Oz based on where one of the suburbs with the same name is located. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

  • @ChiefsRoyalsTigers I wish all arguments could end this peacefully.

  • @ChiefsRoyalsTigers And further, I TOPPED American Geography and World Geography in my class at OPHS, KCMO where I not only could name every state of the US but also their capitals. My American classmates, as much as I loved them, thought Australia was part of Europe and Tasmania part of Africa.

  • @Sytijinx Are you fucking stupid? She is black you dipshit

  • Saw this last night

  • I heard this song today when I was in Charlotte Russe. At first I was so annoyed by it, but by the final chorus I loved it!

    i really love it!

    incredible!

Wizard of Oz + Sneaky Sound System, strange but so AWESOME! <3333

  • this music really has a retro feel to it. feels and sounds like stuff i used to listen to in the 1980's by A Flock of Seagulls or even wierder stuff by Kajagoogoo.

    nice tune though.

  • I love their music. I listen to it often!

  • God Connie is a babe!!!!!!

  • This song makes me think of Ecstasy.

  • yes, this is certainly party drug music. all we need now is Towelie from south park with his famous quote, "Wanna get high?"

    :D

  • I cant get enough of this video! I heard this in the mall once, and i fell in love with it.

    Thanks for the upload! :D

  • I was jamming to this in the dressing room where they played this. Good thing I was in there and not out in the main store :D

  • Did they release a full album?

  • ....that would be me sexy. Don't slap me.

  • Does anybody know who directed this?

  • Hi there,

This video was directed by Adam Callen, with the collective creative talent of The Feds Digital, here in Sydney.

Check out the 'behind the scenes' video I made also on my channel to see more about how it was made. I was involved in some of the post-production work and stop-motion photography.

    Cheers,

  • sneaky is one of those bands that have tremendously good music and live performances but their videos suck. their singles are almost every time not the strongest song on the record - which is a shame. they should have promoted the pictures remix that was the actual club hit for example... I feel so sorry for the singer to have to use that product placement phone to afford this crappy video.... the song is tight! YOU DESERVE BETTER! -the group of 30-40 people in finland who love your album.

  • Where is the product placement?

  • What?

  • that's your own subjective opinion lets not forget.

I feel that all of their songs are great, so it's impossible to select singles. And i think this video rocks!!

  • I wonder if Randy Orton loves Connie and besides he lives in Kansas City.

  • I just went to Kansas City MO I loved it I was sining this song while driving down to KC best song ever!

  • saw them in cork ireland last week.. UNREAL live !!!

  • I just saw them in Chicago. They ROCKED! Awesome show.

  • I think her voice in the talking bits is hot...

  • This should be Randy Orton's theme song.

  • awesome! --both song and vid :D

  • such a creative music video!

  • yeah the song is hella good though

  • I love the song but the puppets are kreppy.

  • I think that's the point... it's meant to be a tribute to the dodgy marionette TV shows of the 60s, like Thunderbirds

    I love it :)

  • Yes LadyLottimort :)

A combination of The Wizard of Oz and Anderson's "Thunderbirds."

  • But the puppets still scare me a little bit

  • saw these guys at the nz BDO 09

    awsome

  • I just saw them live...totally awesome :)

  • it would be awesome to see them live... I saw kylie live in concert... id also like to see sss

  • I've seen both Kylie and SSS. :D

SSS have been touring Aus with their "Poptronica" tour, not sure if it's still going. I saw them earlier this year and was lucky enough to be only a few feet from them. They're fantastic performers, really know how to work up a crowd! Connie is just larger-than-life and gorgeous, she looked like a 1950s cartoon character with her colourful dresses and Vivienne Westwood-esque shoes. Highly recommended, a really fun night. :D

  • the song was inspired by a shirt Connie had that said "Somebody in Kansas City Loves Me"

  • The marionette is way too thin to be ms connie

  • hot puppet lol

  • Wats funny is that their australian WOOO go Ausieee!!!!! lol

  • Please don't be discouraged by bitter comments. Not all Kansas City, Missourians are as snobby ans sensitive about Wizard of Oz references. Personally, I'm thrilled that our city is mentioned in a song that is actually really catchy and good! Thanks and kudos!

  • I am from Kc. And there is one in BOTH states. I love it. And as long as people love WoO, bring it on...

  • gud for u, tell her i sed hi!she is sooo awsum

  • Connie Mitchell is my wife

  • luv the song to pieces, but the video...

    ..

    .

  • its definetly an american video, sss is soo cool!

  • Somebody in Kansas City Loves You? I can't understand why, Since we all hate the Wizard Of Oz references and Kansas City (Except for the industrial ass end of it) Is in MISSOURI! Pay attention and learn your geography. This is garbage.

  • Fuck people like you crack me up. Homo who cares! lol

  • Have a cup of tea & a lie down it'll be OK.

  • lol

  • What is Kansas City actually like? Nice place?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome. you should stop in sometime.

  • It's really cool. I just went to KC it was awesome!

  • Saw these guys at the Gold Coast Big Day Out yesterday. I had never really seen or heard much of these guys before, but fuck they rocked it hard. Everyone was dancing and going off. Nice one. COG ROCKED TOO.

  • wuv thiz song--------sooo maddddd

  • does "mad" in australia mean like "kick ass" or Really cool..

If so, your "mad" is equivalent to our "bad ass" lol..

  • Yeah, I guess.

THATS FUCKIN MAD DOGG... FUCKIN A'... = This is really good.

  • that means ur american

    rite?

  • Yepp that'd be correct.

  • seeing these guys at rollercoaster and big day out im excited ;p

  • I saw them in Bristol supporting Sam Sparro, they were amazing! nearly as good as sam x

  • Awesome song! Awesome group!!!

  • lmfao. i live in kansas city :D

  • "Somebody in Blacktown City loves me

Somebody is waiting for the dole!"

  • HEY! Now listen, I'm a figure of eight! This song rocks and I listen to it about every damn day! Found Sneaky Sound System looking for ufo vids few weeks back and glad I did! 'o)

  • Lady Connie = Magical

  • I've never heard of SSS until l heard UFO. Love this group now, this song is great too.

  • Maaaaddddd!

  • love it!

  • this is an mad as song

  • somebody in sydney city loves me!! Somebody is waiting by the telephone

Somebody in Sydney City loves me,

Somebody is waiting too all alone!

  • i love this song! it gives me strength!

  • SOMEBODY IN KANSAS CITY LOVES ME!!! actually

  • Reminds me of a certain "AMERICA!!! FUCK YEAH!!!" XD

  • Wow, the original is almost as good as the Lifelike remix!

  • they are sooooo good, and amazing live!

  • this is great!

  • I love this song! One of my fave songs of all time! I bought there new album and I reccomend it to all!

    Cool clip.

  • omg i want her dress!

  • em jeez the connie doll is hot to gawsh :} XD .

  • shouldn't have done the whole clip in dollform, i was waiting to see her til the end she is gorgeous and shouldn't hide behind a hideous wood representation of herself x

  • is a good clip but i would rather see the real people dance, the dolls are really weird

  • yeah, like alice crossing into wonderland ;D

  • more like oz than wonderland

  • i love the clip!

    and the song

  • shes gained a bit of weight since their first album

  • Is that a good or bad thing?

    O_o

    xo,

    PT

  • cus she is not pregnant :I

  • AWESOME!!! I'm loving this!!!

  • as if! this clip is cool! like she is dorothy, but it is fitting that she is a doll, because it is supposed to be like imaginary, dream-like, wacky!

  • What a crap clip. Their clips do not do their music justice :( Why show the lead singer as an ugly doll when she's hot in real life.

  • all about connie . no one else :}

  • Well, yeah, do you hear anybody else in the band singing? No.. Connie's an awesome singer, I love this clip, good idea!

  • well actually double d sings in quite a few songs. and theres little back up parts he sings once in awhile. but connies voice is unreal. and I only care about her. I don't care how much mc double d talks in interviews or during a concert. I only tune my ears to connie's voice :}

  • Great video and great track.

No wonder it just got nominated for best music video on the ARIA's.

    Super stuff.

  • Just for the sake of clarity.... Kansas City is really more of a Missouri city than Kansas, thus has virtually no connection to Dorothy, Oz, Toto.

There IS a Kansas City, Kansas, but most of the time when someone is in Kansas City, they're in Missouri. It's bigger than St. Louis! KC, KS is really more of a sister city to KC, MO.

  • So whats the deal with the name of this song? i mean what is the connection to Kansas City? dont get me wrong this track is dope as hell, and its cool to hear a damn good song with KC in it. they should play KC some time...shit would be nasty!

  • I heard an interview on OZ radio a couple of weeks back, where they were asked about where the title came from and Miss Connie basically said they were in Adelaide and they went to some market and she saw a t-shirt that had "Somebody in Kansas City *love heart* me" and they decided it'd make a great chorus line and the rest is history.

  • yeah thats true, she went to some op shop

    and found that tshirt

  • Da song totally rules, welldone Connie!!!!! :)

  • The whole Dorothy/Wizard of Oz comparison is very cute :) I think it would have made a good video to retell the whole story complete with Tinman/Cowardly Lion/Scarecrow etc, but thats probably just me being soppy :p

  • excellent song!! :)

  • love those red shoes!!!

  • i love connie!!!

  • kings of aussie house

  • I like it! The video is really cute. :)

  • it reminds me of saw

  • connie's vocals are amazing

  • funny story how they got the song title

mad band ily SSS so much :]

  • love her dress XD

  • DAAYYUMM!! They are soooo good....

    LMAO:)

  • Doing Australia proud, great track, just keep churning them out
