use some hair lotion and either use a big curling iron, or the best thing, large hair rollers and a blow dryer. Then you comb out the curls so they don't look so perfect and voila ditas hairstyle.

She has put her original idea's on things, she's taken something people have shied away from and brought burlesque into the public eye. I completely agree with this. Dita Von Teese celebrates glamour. How can you call glamour cheap and crude? That's exactly what it isn't! I think people are way to prudish and taboo about nudity these days. If it's done with class, glamour and in a way that celebrates feminity then why not?

I think it's amusing that you're under the impression that Dita Von Teese doesn't know where Burlesque originates from considering she has written a whole book on the history of Burlesque (Burlesque and the Art of the Tease). Also, Gypsy Rose Lee was one of the most famous and influential Burlesque performers of her time and despite having the phrase "ecdysiast" coined for her performances, she still preferred to be called a stripper. Dita herself says in this interview that she isn't far
