To TODDATTV, to answer you man, maybe things could be differente if the shah had given the green-fire authorisat° to his generals but he didn't & after that it was too late, my grand father was also general & the same promot° a Aryana, & his littel son was my friend!!I was at ARA army in 1981/882/83 French branche(javanané Iran)& the 2nd attac wave on the "NEYZE"war ship, && I can tell you more & more but in fact it was too late!!!!
