I think the best part of Legendia was the story and even if the character designs weren't to my taste (I prefer Fujishima over Inomata) I learned to love them over time because there was so much backstory to each one. This game is missing some elements of other Tales games but that's what makes it unique. The only thing I disliked about the game was not being able to see the enemies in the dungeons so when you walked there's be enemies in every step.. but that's minor.

I heard there's going to be a sequel for Legendia on...the Wii, if I remember correctly. It's still in production, and started a while back. Might wanna look it up; you could find better information because my memory sucks sometimes. :)

Being a fan of Tales Of Series. I will say. I didn't like this game one bit. It was. .something irritating about it. It was really off to be a Tales Of Game. Even the battle system was "off." The storyline was "alright." It was a fun play. But. .I don't think I would ever play it "Twice." The Opening Was Better Then The Whole Game. I did like Senel x Chloe. Shirley was just annoying DX <3 Tales of Aybss and Tales of Destiny. Still my favorite.

Wow, in this case forget everything else but Vesperia, among all the episodes I've played, I can safely say that it is one of, if not the best Tales game of the series ;-)

You guys are nuts. Legendia was a total disaster and Abyss was terrible in every way except the battle system. Maybe they were good if you like backtracking in Abyss, a terrible battle system in Legendia, and generic storylines and characters in both.

Depends actually, the combat system of this game is really weak, it's back to the liniar motion system (2D), no FOF (which made abyss epic), no mystic arts, it is very lacking in general in terms of combat. However, the main strength of the game is the story line, by far this game has the strongest character development and storyline compared to the other 'tales of' games. There's 8 characters and each one has a solid developing storyline. Give it a go it's not bad. =3
I personally think so seeing as there's a lot to the story and it's well developed, if you're willing to sacrifice combat for story then by all means play the game, the combat isin't bad it's just very simple which may actually be something good for some.

I wish they'd do it like Vesperia more often. It's fun when they redo the song in English (since now there are two versions to listen to), and even better when they can get the original singer to record it (as long as he or she can sing well enough in English)
They would if the singers of the OPs can sing in Japanese and in English like BONNIE PINK who sings Vesperia OP in Jap and English, or like Hikaru Utada who sings the KH OPs and Endings.
Bonnie and Hikaru both are fluent so they can sing translated versions.
So if the singers for the Game OP and Endings can sing in English and Jap they will use it.
Although consider this game to be very underrated, i see where the haters came from.
Legendia may be a bit off as a Tales game for having no mystic artes, fewer skits than the others and an overall different style that doesn't appeal to many, but as a game itself, it stands as a solid RPG that any adept of the genre shoud give a try.

I'm telling you, my favorite part of that game was when Shirley told Senel her feelings for him and Senel just completely shut her down. I was delighted every single time she was kidnapped. If only they could've kidnapped Norma, too, and just not ever brought her back.
On a side note, the Japanese opening for this game is much better than the English one. The instrumental openings for Tales games do nothing for me.

Chloe x Senel is more a love-friends relationship hinted through the entire game, but the only moment you see an "almost" actual development between those two is in the the Character Quest after you finish it.

Definately one of my favorite openings. I know that Legendia wasn't the greatest game but the quirky characters and events will always hold a place in my heart as my first tales experience.

@Seirumtsen it was a fun game. My first tales game was Symphonia so I got use to that combat. Wasn't use to only being able to fight in a straight line.

@clearwater04 Fewer skits than the other Tales games i have played (Symphonia, Abyss, Destiny Remake DC, Rebirth, Vesperia). Also, Symphonia and Rebirth came before Legendia, and had fully voiced skits (played only the japanese version of Symphonia).

@Seirumtsen it has around 100 skits so yeah your right that it has the fewest of the console games. but i ment out of the english releases it was the first to have fully voiced skits. symphonia vesperia and abyss are the average skit wise i think with between 300 and 500 for them. rebirth has too many to count i heard 700+ though most of those are to explain what to do next in the story

@Seirumtsen The characters and the plots made up for any of that entirely. I started playing it and couldn't rip my eyes off of it because the characters were all so amazing.

Almost all tales that hit NA region are all instrumental. ToV was the only has eng version.

True but it woulda been nice to leave it as is. NIS America has done that distribution games. Also MS Saga aka Gundam: True Odyssey song was also nice. Once i beat the game i look it up on youtube an found out it had lyrice also sing the opening song Erementar Gerad by Savage Genius. U can influence ppl by the games but why not influence by there song too. I rarely listen to american pop, rap, r&b songs anyways. I rarther wast my ears on Euro Trance then any of those 3 type.

The only bad thing about this game is Shirley. Half the game to save the bitch just to see her trying to force her way in to the party. Useless character, even the Chloe - Senel wannabe relationship was bullshit because of her.

I'm telling you, my favorite part of that game was when Shirley told Senel her feelings for him and Senel just completely shut her down. I was delighted every single time she was kidnapped. If only they could've kidnapped Norma, too, and just not ever brought her back.
On a side note, the Japanese opening for this game is much better than the English one. The instrumental openings for Tales games do nothing for me.

Chloe x Senel is more a love-friends relationship hinted through the entire game, but the only moment you see an "almost" actual development between those two is in the the Character Quest after you finish it.

Definately one of my favorite openings. I know that Legendia wasn't the greatest game but the quirky characters and events will always hold a place in my heart as my first tales experience.

why in the world to they even change the music in the USA version I mean really, the game was MADE in Japan and I see it as an insult to not use the original opening. OR at least allow us to turn on the language to Japanese as well. Not that all the voice acting is bad or anything but I really would like to play in it both. Also why did the Cut funding in the voice acting cast in the character quests?

Why is it that in this game, Senel isnt the main important. Like Senel is Lloyd and Shirley is collete. The Collete and Shirley characters is like the one with super abilities but you play as the one who doesnt look powerful until the end or until you get stronger? Either way all Tales Game ROCK
