  • The snake fucking evolved from a frog, and it refuse to grow legs and hands like the tadpoles do, and it has genetic inheritance of the tadpole, and it has species in the sea. And its face is exactly like the frog. Frog eyes, frog nose, frog tongue, but he grew two fangs and venom.

  • I hope my opinino does not lead the research of vaccine to a dead end. There is no discovery, I just found out about venom from the hour glass youtube video where a boy was bitten by the hour glass black widow. I been thinking about this hourglass. I been thinking why it is red color, I been thinking evolution. Then I found it is the DNA helix. Then I found that the essence is all in the DNA. If humans evolve, they will get more gene pairs. In another planet, maybe intelligent beings have 89 DNA

  • I learn from youtube that the evolution is not a mutation. Mutation is not beneficial to survival at all, but evolution adds to the DNA advancement. An evolution will cause monkey species grow into human similar species. An evolution will cause cats to evolve into a new species similar to a lion. Mutation causes species to lose their perfect designs. Mutation is a defect. Toxin is an advancement in evolution, but it is because of stem cells where DNA is ready for reproduction. Venom, shouts DNA

  • I must emphasize my opinion, on the sperm and ovum god process. This is the original method of life. Venom is a toxin that destroys that process. And I am beginnig to fear the things I write, because It destroys life. It destroys everything. ANd it is produced in the essence.

  • The socalled hour glass design of the black widow is the DNA helix design. Venom has designs. The manifest it for the eyes to see and fear. The trick the person's eye thinking it is knowlege. Beguised by it, the human intellectuals are amazed and in a trance, then it strikes and injects venom. These venomous animals are hostile. IT is why darwin rules are important. Everywhere on the earth there is venomous species. Black widow, CObra, Scorpion, WUGONG, everywhere! They manifest DNA helix outsi

  • Venom come from sex indulgence. It cojmes from producing web in the essence sector. They can produce web, they can produce wings from coccoon, they can produce the additional tools to survive and protect their brain at the same time. The brain is the essence. Everything else is Transformer. Everything else is evolution stored inside the Genetic code DNA. Venom mocks the reproductive organ evolution (growing sophisticated). Venom mocks their evolution in those sectors, and mocks size.

  • Venom insects mock the reproduction system that is advance. The mammals and other evolved species are advanced in reproduction and then grows in size of brain. The brain size increases the essence upgrades. The venomous species are all tiny insects. They grow eyes, they see the mammals that advance in sector of brain size and reproductive sectors. The venomous insects wants to eat and kill other species for protection of their own kind, Darwin survival rules. They mock the hormones, and mock DNA

  • The essence can grow hair, grow eyes, grow hands, grow wings, grow bloodvein system like heart, the essence grow to protect its essence. The DNA combination password, treasure, the GOD particle, the GOD crystal, the power, the essence is everything. It grows hair, grows eye, grows ear, grow mouth, digestion, everything. The DNA is not shared, until it is produced in the sperm and ovum sector. The obsession is chemical based and DNA manufactured. The venom mocks obsession, and mocks evolution.

  • Venom is a toxin, that kills the DNA. The DNA is a treasure, a project, a struggle, a miracle! GOD! The DNA is our inheritance! The black widow not only produces superfluous excess obssesive excessive essence, it also produces excessive toxin ( Anti DNA mockery ). The essence has stem cells that are active. TO castrate a male ball, is to destroy the trade of DNA, and 46 is not shared. It is not reactive, not active, not happy, not sharing. Clones is exact 46 genes (23 gene pairs). But mix pair

  • Venom Evolution, I have an observation comment for experts! The black widow has an hour glass design and it produces venom and even eats up the male mate after sex. IT is one of the venom species. I tried to understand this, and I realize that the essence (DNA) that experts say the evolution (not Mutation) occur by a slight chance or subtle change. It is observed so. The venom is not only small and slow can beat the big. It is a mock of essence, mock of DNA,a toxin, that subtle kills evo!!!

  • This is some fascinating stuff.

  • Comment removed

  • this reminds me of a douchebag :/

  • animals are the first terrorist

  • Look up the brazilian wandering spider, its venom is the scariest shit you could ever think of.

  • This has got to be old the most poison snake is in the ocean no land

  • @MrAbt9283 well, the snake came from land, fyi.

  • Yeah, think the other guy is right, the snake at the end that looks like a coral is non venomous.

  • damn it at least they could try to say the names of some of the proteins..... why dont they make documentaries like in the old days

  • I just don't like how they show lots of non-venomous snakes with the venomous ones. people who don't know much about snakes will think that these too are venomous and at that restart the ignorant mindset that many people have. I don't know. It's bad.

  • Do I dare say, "Thanks for the Venom Facts?"

  • Beautiful documentary, loved it!

  • WTF is the name of that black headed snake!? N how can I own one!

  • It's a black headed python. Aspidites melanocephalus

  • there are also shrews with a venomous bite

  • 10:32 "Red and black, venom lack"

  • Cool stuff. I do have to object to the comment about evolution "designing" venom at 7:52. Evolution doesn't "design" things and that type of language plays into creationist framing.

But otherwise, stuff I didn't know. Thanks for the vid.

  • @TheRationalHatter I try and abstain from using "design" but that is exactly what it is. The anvil of random mutation and the hammer of natural selection are the tools used. Even Dawkins uses "Designed".

  • @manchester26m

I fully admit that I am being a bit pedantic here but I've also run in to creationists who use the fact that evolutionary biology uses the term "design" to justify "intelligent" design. The word design lends itself to the anthropomorphing of science and that does play into creationist framing.

Better to use phrases like "naturally selected for" instead of "design". In addition to not using the framing of creationism, it's also a more accuate description of evolution. imho

  • The History channel really needs to give up on documentaries.

The voice of the narrator put me off, sounds more like a commercial.

  • Also, when I first read the title I actually thought it was a video about VFX...

  • ...See toonight at eleven PLATIPUS OF DEATH!!!

  • There are actually 2 venomous mammals. There is a type of shrew with a mildly venomous bite.

  • That's true.

    DJ

  • Actually I just looked it up, and there are even more venomous mammals than that, there's four types of shrew, Cuban and Hispaniolan Solenodons and European Moles.

I remember hearing about Mole's being venomous before, but somehow forgot about them.

  • @OktoberSunset I saw a video claiming 7 of 8 venomous mammals :S!

  • I find it interesing how different the american style narration is to the british/european style

  • lol... by that I assume you mean how jarring it is that a nature program would be narrated as if it were the trailer for a big budget Hollywood blockbuster?

I'm an American, and although I'm used to it and don't really notice, when someone points it out, I agree.

  • Yes.. also the choice of words is very noteable.. I just saw this series right after the series called "swarmed" made by the BBC, and the difference is very noteable. In compariosn the first uses a language based on curiosity and science (BBC) whereas this is more... i dunno.. war-reporting style, it seems designed for an audience with a limited attention-span (no offence intended)

  • @sp4zzer

    "no offence intended"

No worries, I brought it up.

I don't have a PARTICULAR problem with America (at least not more than I have with humanity), but I agree with what you're saying. The problem isn't that American's are stupider than the rest of the world, the problem is that American media CATERS to the stupid people more readily than most of the world's media.

  • @sp4zzer Indeed, this is like a cartoon narrator. I see lots of American documentaries, and I guess they think they have to dress it up as horror / war stories to get people interested. However, I think that's a mistake. I think the American media is underestimating its audience big time.

  • Why does the video keep flashing black?! FUCK.

  • Aww. I want to learn, but.... GOD I HATE SNAKES!

  • funny that this is on the history channel, wasnt it Dawkins that said to deny evolution is to deny history? lol

  • "A snakes venom glands are biological warfare factories."

    Hahahah!

  • Does anybody know which species this neat blue eyed snake belongs to?

  • Excellent vid. I'm going to watch out for that series.

Thankfully no taipans near our place. Mostly red-bellied blacks, which at least gives us a good chance of getting to the hospital.

Ah the joys of living in the sunburnt country down under! And we export our bigger creationist twits like Ken Ham to the USA.

  • @dutchroll "And we export our bigger creationist twits like Ken Ham to the USA". Yeah, thanks a lot, now we have to put up with him.

  • @ dutchroll There will come a day when all creationists are put into sacks and hit with sticks. When that day comes, you Aussies will regret that you are missing out on the fun.

  • i just looked up the definition of mammal.. and ive got to say that biolog is more complicated than what id had learned from school, most amazing :P

  • OMFG; exploding hearts! I wanted to see that! XD

  • WTF the platypus isnt a mammal. Huge mistake right in the beginning.

  • It's part mammal. That counts for something, right?

  • Its close to mammal.

Its amazing how little mistakes will grab you like that.

  • The platypus is a mammal. It is a type of monotreme. All monotremes are mammals.

  • Incorrect. The Platypus is a monotreme, an egg laying mammal. Another example of monotreme is the Echidna. It is not a marsupial. All monotremes are mammals. All marsupials are also mammals. Monotremes are not marsupials.

  • @tinylittlegnat2 marsupials are mammals!

  • @tinylittlegnat2 A mammal is an animal that produces milk for its offspring via mammary glands. There are 3 types: placental mammals; marsupial mammals; and monotremes. The monotremes are the most ancient lineage of mammals... that's why they still lay eggs and only have one orifice for everything - defecating, urinating, and laying their eggs (hence, monotremes).

But they are mammals nonetheless because they produce milk via mammary glands. Oh, and they do not have nipples either

  • mammal also produce there own body warmth

  • mammals also produce body warmth i think platypus stores all its heat in its tail how ever so complete body heat circulation is low

  • damn, a misconception of mine cleared up. i had previously thought that mammals, marsupials, and monotremes were separate branches. i guess have new knowledge now which will be very useful since i'm training to be a science teacher.

(although i know that at least one science teacher exists who thinks whales are fish!)

  • It's not a placental mammal but it's a mammal.

  • the platypus is a mammal!

go consult a middle school textbook

  • Fascinating. Pretty good for a History Channel presentation. I had thought (and thought I'd been told) that venom adapted from salivary gland enzymes. Interesting to see that it's more complex than that.

  • HOLY CRAP!!!

That made my skin crawl....and I think it'll stay like that forever.

As far as I'm concerned there's only two kinds of snakes: alive ones and dead ones. Not particularly fond of the first kind...

  • Oh I thought this was about Shawn haha.

  • same here. the thumbnail seemed like him bald

  • wow...incredible lecture on this subject. I love how you were able to catch a few inconsistencies in the their displaying of venomous snake types.

  • Years ago, we adopted a dog called "nake", whenever we'd call him people used to freeze thinking we were yelling "snake"

  • Very interesting! Thanks for posting!

  • FUCK SNAKES! holy shit

  • I smiled when the narrator said "For Fry, just knowing it was complex wasn't enough."

    Science is awesome :-)

  • Those dark flashes they used in this video to make it appear more dynamic are a terrible idea. They irritate the eye and distract from the audio.

  • Thank you, djarm!

  • As a fan of snakes. This video really has my attention. *****

  • LOL, I thought this was going to be about VenomFangX.

  • that was what i thought too after seeing the title:))))

  • Me too.

  • lol, me too. The still photo looked like VFX shaved his head and was going banana-man on us.

  • @DarwinsChihuahua why where you trying to watch a ignorant douchebag lol...

  • Bryan Fry is my hero. :)

  • the taipan snake venom kills trough the process of Disseminated Intra-vascular Coagulation.

First, it make your blood coagulate especially in your small blood vessels, and by this, blocking the micro-circulation for your important organs. After doing this, your blood coagulation factors are all consumed, so you will start to bleed. That is a nasty way to die:)

  • @siegfried182005

I love how a smiley just works its way in after "That is a nasty way to die"

  • very cool
