    And its official

I learned on Full Tilts official blog last thursday you can create a account on their site with the code AMERICAS if you don't allready have one with them.I think its the best way if your a new player to start with a nice bankroll.. Make a deposit and they DOUBLE it in addition to a few other awesome perks. It's limited to the first 4000 players that sign up using it

  • @JackOfClubs777 Drink your own poison, fuckface.

  • eastgate knockec like everyone out with pocket pair

  • damn east gate almost hits every set he like in that final table

  • @ErsinYildiz

u saw the whole final table? u saw all the otherr hands which wasnt showed at tv?

i guess you wasnt, so stfu frickin moron

  • Easfgate is Mr.Set ^^

  • I earned more than 1k during the past 2 nights using this free on line poker bot I found. You guys should take a look, just go to freepokerbotXnet (replace X with . ) and check it out!

  • LOL!!! 'im all in'' WHY!

  • "Silent and Lethal..." ;D

  • he got sets to knock 3 ppl out lol..

  • Was just getting the right cards at the right times. Helps that most of the other players were going all in with nothing mind you

  • they gave him the chips every time though ;)

  • I don't understand how Phillips could play so well and then all of a sudden push for 13.78 mil after a 1.5 mil raise with absolutely nothing. He obviously wasn't understanding the concept of big stack poker especially against a player like Eastgate and tried to bully the big stack with an all in bet trying to win a measly 4.7 mil pot?

Geez I mean he could have drank his coffee BEFORE the hand and then would have been able to wait it out longer.

  • Thankyou Eastgate for ending the run of donks that became world champions, Jamie Gold 2006, Jerry Yang 2007, Not Dennis Phillips 2008...

  • @ElSpewtardo how can you call a guy who comes in 3 and then the next year comes in something like 47th a donk? i dont get that at all. if you judge by the main event alone he's the best player of anyone over the last two years - he's outlasted more players in back to back main events than anyone in the history of the game. and he's a donk.... ok.

  • @ElSpewtardo he wouldve done even better than 47th even if he hadn't gotten extremely unlucky- ak v ak preflop all in, other guy hits a flush

  • Read the guy's blog if you think he's great. Secondly, 2 tourney results is a great sample size to judge a player. Ever heard of running good? He played even worse in the 09 series. Just because he got deep doesn't make him good. Watch this guy fade into obscurity in the coming years...

  • I'm pretty sure the main event is the only event he plays so you're probably right he will fade into obscurity. But really? come on, it's not like you watched every hand he played, it seems highly improbable that you go that deep twice and youre a donk. this play however is donktacular, that i will agree with.

  • Every televised hand, I watched him play was awful, unless he had the nuts and obv won. There is a hand where he calls down pot bets with a flush draw against Mizrachi and obv hits. The guy is a luckbox and has NFI

  • @ElSpewtardo Just found out phillips will be on high stakes poker season 6 to be broadcast in february, so it should be interesting to see how he plays against the games best

  • My guess is he will fold every hand except JJ+,AK

otherwise it will be epic pwnage.

  • @ElSpewtardo I think Phillips played very well, had another good run in 2009.

But you're right about Gold and Yang, it was pathetic

  • @ElSpewtardo Yeah what a donk this Phillips guy. The next year he JUST finished 45th and got eliminated with AKs vs AKs, what a donk this guy. Shows he can't play well for two straight years, internet warriors like you would do so much better.

  • @WaspSnG As I said earlier, 2 tournaments is a huge sample size to judge by.

  • how the hell can you go all in with absolutely nothing at the final table of the world series of poker when 1st place is 9 million dollars.

  • Why are you guys saying Eastgate got lucky without considering monster hands that others had. When Eastgate had monster, his opponents were just being dumbasses who were bluffing into him. It's not his fault that his opponents made silly moves when they had easy opportunity to get away from their hands. They didn't even flop a single thing. Jerry Yang and Jamie Gold are examples of lucky pricks but Eastgate just played solid poker filled with majority of idiots at the final table.

  • true

  • @EdDy4RheelZ

and they also dont show a lot of hands at tv, they only show the highlights, so nobody can judge about it.

  • For those who think Eastgate is lucky, please take your head out of your ass. Think about the reason why Phillips moved all-in when Eastgate had a set. Normally, people will fold 9To and make Eastgate not get any value out of his set. Eastgate's skill is what got Phillips to push all-in with rags. Eastgate was using small-ball strategy, kept raising and bullying Phillips around that Phillips got tired and pissed at Eastgate. THAT is called skills. He just used nice, common small-ball strategy.

  • Peter Eastgate - I run good, I run very good. Hahah

  • i like how he counts his chips before donking it all in

  • just donked himself 4.5 million, right?

  • Comment removed

  • err???? 9? he only had outs for runner runner st8...

  • Dunno what I was thinking when I posted that lol, I removed my post :/

  • he got 6's, 5's and now 3's...

  • 4.5 million dollar isn't nothing lol but i'm agree with you

  • all in with nothing .. just so much work for nothing .. can´t understand ...

  • hey i can win it too if every time i get a hand someone decides to bluff all in at me lol

  • estgate rivered fives full in the hand your talking about he would have in fact taken all off phillips stack. plus in this hand they r playing three handed phillips probably feels like he is being bulluied and wants to make a stand.

  • jesus he finished 3rd give him a break dennis got bored i dnt blame him he wnts to take home the money wota player n now hesa pro poker player

  • lol, who the fuck calls the raise with 9 10 offsuits but folds K 7 suited. You do know that the hand where eastgate and schwartz played. Phillips would've won that pot and would've had slightly more chance of winning the main event by taking schwart'z stack.

  • Uh. No. Phillips would've taken control of the round during flop and turn, making Eastgate fold before river comes up. Then he could've fought against Schwartz and won the pot. If they all-ined pre-flop and played bingo, then yes, Eastgate had a best hand. But in poker, you can people's luck by kicking them out before future cards are revealed.

  • no phillips wouldnt have won that hand against Schwartz and Eastgate. Phillips had K7 the board came 2K8K5 which wouldve given Phillips trips but Eastgate had a full house, but still wouldve been a more dignified loss to his tournament than trying to bluff all in after missing the flop with 9,10 offsuit...

  • If they all ined pre-flop, then yes. But if Phillips called the raise with K7suited, he would've controlled the round and kick Eastgate off and the round wouldn't reach showdown and if it ever did, it would be between schwartz. Phillips would've controlled the round.

  • yh true say, if he all in after the flop. eastgate woudlve folded an he wouldve won the pot, so your right there. if i got this far in the tournament ild be very happy, but it wouldnt stop me from trying my very best to win the whole thing, i would never throw it all away on a silly bluff!! with 9,10 after the guys already commited alot of chips preflop and after the flop!!!

  • You got to understand, Philips was in the big blind this time, while the other time he was in the small blind and Schwartz was yet to act behind him. He had 600k invested in the pot and he had to cough up 900 more to make the call. And as Philips said himself, "I just couldn't keep folding, I had to do something"

I know that feeling, I've played quite a few tournaments and sometimes frustration sets in when you are short stacked and aren't picking up any hands.
