Nice, but there are gaps for the commentary. Where can I hear the song with the commentary? I remember it was very uplifting......................with the commentary.
this was actualy wrtten w/ Bob Geldof in mind, thinking he wanted to run everybody's musical careers. He got mad at tears for fears for not playing live aid 1985 and tears for fears wrote this as a joke.
Actually - "...to get Bob Geldof off our backs! He gave us so much gip for not turning up at Live Aid. All those millions of people dying, it was our fault. I felt terrible. I tell you, I know how Hitler must have felt." —Roland Orzabal, on why the song was re-recorded
But I think it was more about the publicity. This version is very dumb, intentional or not.
Seriously, this song was re-recorded by Tears for Fears to publicize the Sports Aid charity event organized by Bob Geldof that raised money for the famine relief in Africa.
where can i find this song on any tears for fears cd? lifelong fan! to add to my almost complete collection? AWESOME! maybe people should run a little more often nowadays what with obesity and all that. after all, everybody loves a happy ending!
how come the other half of the band , curt smith , seem never take part in the acting of this mv ?

I never knew that Midge Ure and Bob Geldof have a sense of humour. Only it is not very funny...cheesy even.

I'd love to say I did, but I hadn't been born until 1987.

I would have Ran the World but unfortunately, I wasn't born until 1991. I missed out on the entire 1980's.
