Yeah I had the same problem as you mate, couldn't get that lens cover open. I employed the same technique as you though, and opened it with a razor. Thanks for that :)
I dont think the lens was taken apart at all, but shurley if i hair can get in it should be possible to take it out, be careful when you pop out the small cover next to the lens, use plastic mobile opening tools, very easy to make scratches in the aluminum, good luck!

@Joelzinho When you take the back of the phone off, the lens of the camera is attached to the back, thus allowing you to eliminate that pesky hair. The camera is also accessible.
ohh god. such a stupid thing XD :D buy external battery so u wont ruin ur phone look and functionality :D :P i agree that it was almost a free mod for you, but if you pay that much money for a phone, than you really should buy an external battery if needed
@cwessberg Way to think positively :D i can actually take apart my inspire/desire HD like nothing now after replacing the digitizer multiple times :D! but yes now u have a nice spare phone which i hope u would donate to me :D!!!! i really want a desire HD housing for my inspire cause i like the chrome.
This video shows nearly nothing. It could be a boring audio podcast with 2 or 3 pictures. The "official" video is much better and explains every little step (and cuts down everything and more shown here into just one clearly explained minute). But ok, you were one month faster ;)
FAIL FAIL FAIL... (not the dissasembly9 but the ffing design?! the volume adjustment is a joke, the overall volume is too low and not to mention the battery time and lack of access to the back panel... How can they make such marvellous hardware when it comes to the cPU,RAM, software etc, and fail in such basics.. My old Hero lives longer and you can open the ffing thing...
@digimurtal I have i Samsung Desire GS2 now, weery nice, but still i think HTC EVO3D could be a fun phone but soon iphone 5 and roumers about an upgradet galaxy s2, i think samsung is on the right track.
@digimurtal It has a unibody design, there is no "back cover", its just one solid chunk of metal. Apple does this too but on their iPhones they wont even let you change your BATTERY. I like the design and I had more problems with my Storm 2 and Bold 9000 than I ever had with this one.
Wouldn't buying a second battery to slot in as a spare be less hassle? Thanks for the info. though. Wanted to see if camera photos better without the plastic cover over the lens - this was an issue with HTC Desire.
Hi thanks, yea it was a little scary, i lift the avoid sticker up carefully with a sharp knife. But my phone is beyond warranty anyway now that i have solder a extra battery supply connector to its backside, but i dont care, i have returned many phones to warranty issues, and all they do is to wait for some updates in software.
