  • I have the exact same bass guitar :D the colours also

  • What kind of mess is that?!!!!!!!

  • Solution = Dont buy shit quality basses.

  • thanx 4 the tip

  • oddly the same thing was happening with my fender p bass deluxe (MIM). I returned it after a couple weeks. $650+ is far too much to pay for an instrument with issues, in my book anyway. But mine did have more issues than that.

  • why dont you just replace the tuners?

  • I already replaced - the guitar.

  • i have a squier jazz bass iv with the actives in it. Although i didnt have this problem, the other day i opened up my gig bag and seen that one of the keys snapped right off the post. They where welded on there really crappy. now i gotta find a new set of tuners

  • The screws look stupid, lock them with "LOCK TITE" or just buy new ones. This looks bad.....

  • omg i have the same problem.its weird.

  • I have no problem with my CV 60's Jazz tuners. And I slap to RHCP all the time xD.

  • my squier standard 5 string precision never goes out of tune, it´s amazing

  • This exact thing happens to my squire p...I'm opting for an upgrade to better tuners rather than dealing with the crappy hardwear anymore... plus now my tuners will match my gotoh 201 bridge.

  • I have this bass and a regular Mexican Fender Jazz Bass, and the squire VMP bass I have often stays in tune and sounds better than the Fender.

  • this is funny because i have the same bass and it NEVER goes out of tune!

I bought as a live/beater bass and it stays in tune for days even leaving it in the van without a gig bag for a week!

tho the tuners are pretty weak in contruction

  • I would have just brought new tuners myself.

  • you should have used super glue, those screws look awful ..............lol

  • Next time take it apart and put a little bit of super glue inside the ring...and then save up for some Grovers.

  • hmmm, because of their price???

Then it would be smarter buying Mexico Fender. I already spent too much on this guitar (62' pickups).

  • Mexico Fenders generally are the same or less quality of the VM and CV line.

    Therefore:

Hot rodded VM/CV > Hot rodded MiM

  • reissued 62 pickups right?

  • yes, bought new!

  • i have a fretless modified squire jazz bass and it stays in tune for at least a week. (even when i tune electronically)

  • I have a Squire Vintage Modified Fretless Jazz And it stays in perfect Tune for a week or more. I don't know why you have a problem. (I tune electronically BTW so it's not my ear)

  • You lucky owner! About problem please read my text. And yes, I also tune with tuner.

  • The machines on my Squire do not move in and out. Is yours one of the VM series? The VM's are better made than the cheaper Squires. The new Classic Vib series is also of high quality.

  • this is a very interesting video! thanks for sahring the idea!
