  • such a great song for something stupid like this film.

  • It's Scottish, not Irish...

  • if there ,singer is Cara dillon ,how?

  • Who is the kid on the begining and the end of the video ? I don't remember him from the film .

  • @93naca He's the son of Will and Elizabeth. He isn't in the movie, this is little scene with him after the end credit.

  • @PattiKuci thanks

  • This is the best eidting I have seen . I love the song too. Wonderful !

  • The song and the vid are great! Nice job!

  • Wonderful guitar, wonderful song, wonderful video.

    Thanks

  • I could watch your video a thousand times and it makes my cry!

    Great work and thank you!

  • There will be another pirates of carribean in 2011. But this time there is only Johnny deep. No more of orlando n Keira..:(

  • That Was So Like Perfect Ummmm A Question To Pirates Of The Carabean Fans : Will There Be More Movies After the worlds end 1 ?

  • @MissBJMDA yep on stranger tides

  • They should really need cellphones

  • does anyone have a midi converted version?

  • i forgot how did he come back alive

  • I loved this video-I'm a big fan of both "Pirates" and Gaelic Storm, and I think the song fit beautifully with how you did the video, Bravo!!

  • This is how REAL love is suppose to go, no imatations..

  • Great video

  • Love it!! That wedding kiss, is the kiss of all kisses.

  • KOKIA Ver. is the best on a great voice best performance

  • Nice work. My favorite part is the kiss in the rain while the ship is blowing up all around them. Absolutely amazing. Love the vid!!!

  • T.T

    100000000000000/5

  • christy moore's version is the best

  • I like Gaelic Storm, but as far as the movie goes, Bloom is a bit of a poofter in my opinion.

Gaelic Storm is presently comprised of one Irish Guy(Patrick Murphy-vocals, accordion, spoons, bohdran, two Brits(Steve Twigger-guitar, vocals, Jessie Burns-fiddle), one Canadian(Peter Purvis-bagpipes and whistle), and one American(Ryan Lacey-percussion)

They have changed personnel over the years, especially. fiddle players. Murphy sings some of the songs in Irish, or Gaelic as Americans call it.

  • perhaps my favorite Gaelic Storm song. they are an incredible band

  • This song is from Gaelic Storm's 2001 CD "Tree," which is one of their best--I have them all. Steeve Twigger vocals and guitar, Kathleen Keane Low D Whistle. Twigger is English, but we won't hold that against him. Keane no longer plays with them. Saw Gaelic Storm live at the Filmore in San Francisco about a year ago. A lot of us Micks in "The City" that night. They are great in person and a good time was had by all with the help of prodigious amounts of Guinness fromn the bar.

  • This sounds like Gaelic Storm's recording.

  • try hamish imlachs version

  • fantistic stuff ,,, i play this song too check it out on seanie k black is the colour

  • Its an old irish folk song, dunno whose singin' it mate but just about every famous Irish singer has recorded a cover. I reckon Cara Dillon does the best but this boys up there alright.

Nice video edited well with the olden day gear, pity pirates of the Caribbean turned shite once they exhausted the monkey island material.

As for Knightly i wish they'd stop casting her for tough-chick roles cause the wee girls a fuckin pansy! doesn't work... cough cough 'king Arthur'

  • @TheIrishReviver Can't be Cara Dillon :)

  • its not mate its a band called Gaelic Storm, Just saying Cara Dillon does a really good version.

  • I know that. Was just saying that you can't beat Cara DIllon's version. Misunderstanding.

  • @TheIrishReviver old scottish folk song, the clyde is in scotland

  • @TheIrishReviver it's not an old irish folk song. it's an old scottish folk song. the river clyde might give it away. you know nothing.

  • @TheIrishReviver You seem to be such a nice person. :)

  • @TheIrishReviver Its not Irish one little bit, The Clyde is a Scottish river, and this song also.

  • this is amazing who sang the song nicely done great job !!!

  • this is sad and amazin

  • Fantasitc: I love Keira Knightley and this song is truly beautiful!!!

  • Thank you :-) !!! It's very kind from you :-) !

  • Who does this song because I can't find it? Please help!!!

  • Gaelic Storm - Black is the Color. It is on the "Tree" CD.

  • the first time, i 've heard it, it was sung by alfred and mark deller. it's an anonymous folk song from the past.

  • Paul Weller, Christy Moore or Cara Dillon

  • It's also done by The Corrs.

  • In May rather... this is a summer movie... But anyway, 2011 is fantastic!

  • Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is schedule to be release in march 2011

  • You can find this song on Gaelic Storm's album Tree.

  • who is singing this version? its pretty good :)

  • tooooooo goooooooood!

  • Always Luv their version of this song and the video from Pirates is a nice addition to the song, even if the hair color is confusing this way.. Thanks for doing this.

  • so beautiful... how is the singer?

  • Nem is gondoltam volna hogy magyar vagy...judging by the comments. Great work, keep it up!

  • Igen, vicces, mikor így az ember felfedezi :-D . Egyébként köszi szépen a véleményt :-) !

  • ...But neither of them have black hair...

  • No, they haven't, but when I made the video I wasn't considering this "black hair" thing . The other parts of the music are perfectly telling the story of Will and Elizabeth.

  • well done..its beautiful

  • :-D Thank you for the comment :-D !

  • Nice vid. the music is very nice and the movie scenes well made. I like this "old film" effect

  • Thank you :) !

  • GS stands for "Gaelic Storm" a band from Ireland.

  • argh, I don't know why I wrote that !, yes, it's Steve Twigger who sings this song, ( the "2nd" frontman for GS )

An amazing voice on many GS songs.

  • Great! The song and also who made this video... I`m realy impressed! Could anybody tell me what GS stands for??

  • I've always liked Twigger's voice more than Patrick's... but Patrick has that energy. lol

  • christy moore, all the way!!

  • she reminds me of Yasmin LeBon, a british top model from the 90's, Simon LeBon's wife

  • Any1 got the piano music for this song??? PLEASE

  • No offense or anything, but there are so many videos with these two, and they're great characters, but something a bit more original would be a bit better. Great video, though! XD

  • Thanks :D!

  • what he means is that there's a lot of versions of this same mambo jambo and it needs mixing up :D

  • I don't know why, but this is my favourite rendition by far of this song. Perhaps it's the tin whistle at the beginning, and Patrick Murphy's amazing voice.

I saw Gaelic Storm for the first time this past Feb aboard the Carnival Victory cruise liner, during the Ships And Dip III cruise, hosted by the Barenaked Ladies... Gaelic Storm puts on an amazing show, full of jokes, laughter and amazing music.

  • This is one of my favourite songs too. I love the Heart of the Ocean song too.

  • i still prefer black is the colour by luka bloom, however i am with you on Heart of the ocean. it's very good.

  • i loveloveloveloveloveLOVE luka's version

  • sorry but this is not Patrick Murphy's voice, It is Steve Twigger.

  • great job. nice composition between music and videos. watching it over and over again.

  • Thank you! :-)

  • Absolutely and well done...whatever the visuals may be. (I adore POTC too!).

Great version of the old folk song...Black is the Color.

    Thank you!

  • Loooove the song, not a big fan of the POTC backround. I think perhaps some pictures of Ireland or Scotland would be better. But thanks for the upload anyways.

  • I am happy that you like the song, but I am a big fan of Pirates and that's the reason why I made it with PotC clips. But thanks for the advice!

  • Oh that was so beautiful....two of my favourites together in one video. Great editing job *^_^*

  • This song and this part of PotC are my favourites (after the first part, CotBP the best). But the love story in this part is the best of the trilogy!

    Thanks your comment!!!!! :-D

  • that was so sweet! i loved it! im singing the choral version of this song right now in school, and it was awesome to hear with will and elizabeth. loved it!

  • I would like to hear it in choral version :-D Thanks for your comment!

  • You know PattiKuci, I don't know if it's closed already or not, but a poster was having a POTC couple video contest: videos for Willzabeth, Sparrabeth, Norribeth, Speckett, TiDavy/DaLypso, etcetera. You should totally enter this!

  • Let see am I understanding (because I'm not English and don't understand some words)? It is a "racing"? Or not? And where is it???

  • MrsBloom01 is the person with the contest. She is judging Pirates of the Caribbean videos sent to her. The contest is still open, and you can look up MrsBloom01, or search youtube for "POTC Couples Contest" for more information.

  • Oh, I understand it already, thank you very much!!!

  • And the deadline is the 23rd!

  • yeah. haha if you wait long enough...after the credits that is, you see that special scene their son

  • this is an old irish song.

  • Actually it probably originated in Scotland, the (River) Clyde is a big tip off. It was just made popular by the Irish.

  • yes your right, i found this out a few weeks ago, the but irish and the scots and much the same, were brothers. Nice vid!!

  • who the hell is that boy in the begining? their son?

  • Yes, he's the Young Will Turner. Haven't seen this scene yet?

  • no where is this?

  • it's one of the last scenes

after the credits i think, or?
