referring to 'three blind mice' - the kids' poem... but here they are referring to the 1 ref + 2 linesmen. The organist used to play the tune of 'three blind mice' but the ref too offense to it so, they stopped doing that.

@getoffwelfare You obviously never sat in the nosebleeds at Maple Leaf Gardens back in the day. Place was a rotting dump even in 1980.
