We do need to stop the SPP but not by making it policy as a referendum would do but by pausing and going back to affirm and create a Lawful Canadian Constitution.

We are not a sovereign nation. we are a british colony given Statutory Independence by Britain. For us to merge with the States and Mexico we would still need "royal assent". But that would be our last time. We would become a independent Statutory Nation within the NAU without a lawful Constitution, in a Maritime Law Jurisdiction.

Holding a referendum on our Constitution would be holding a referendum on the essence of Canada.

Holding a referendum on the SPP is calling in the demise of Canada.

Legislative votes create Act's, our Charter is a Statutory Act, which is only legal policy not a Lawful Constitution.

Comprehensive referendums create Lawful Constitutions and policy.

If we hold a referendum on the SPP before our own Constitution it will gain power over the charter when policy decisions are made.

I had a feeling that Canadians are as proud of their country and sovereignty as the U S citizens are of ours.
