  • rock on captain reynolds

  • You missed the part that the humans created the flood.

  • 1337?

  • I could just imagine how boring a Super Mario lore would be...

  • The flood is the all father

  • I was just here a minute ago?!?!!?

  • then everyone died!

  • Halo lore is fucking amazing.

Halo games are not as much.

    Anybody agree?

  • @TonysTactics nope

  • Was the color off for anyone else?

  • the forerunners are human ancesters, who fled on the arc to earth

  • @didyouhear111

get your facts straight, read halo:cryptum. Humans and forerunners actually fought a war in wich humans and prophets were allies against the forerunners. Humans were also fighting the flood but the forerunners didnt know that. They beat the humans and de-evolved them and thus the humans didnt give the forerunners the knowledge that they had a weapon to beat the flood.

  • Halo has a lore? lol!

  • Why the fuck did i read the book, if i could basically hear everything from it on here >.<

  • @taraketanclan

    Because the novel is awesome?

    Lol.

  • lol the kids are so cool

  • what about the precursors and the humans and san'shym being around during the foerunners time?

  • Minecraft lore : you build in a square world and have to gather resources while avoiding skeletons spiders zombies and green dicks have fun

  • Minecraft: Lore in UNDER one minute: You build and play in singleplayer or multiplayer you have to get materials and explore.

  • I watched lore videos before buying a game :D

  • Malcolm Reynolds!

  • 0:27 death star explosion?

  • @eagletwo13 yep death star explosion

  • @eagletwo13 lol

  • Halo is about saying WTF 24-7.

  • I thought Halo was all about T-bagging and getting t-bagged and viceversa?

  • With their 1337 skills

  • Spartan super babies! XD I PEED MUSELF

  • OMFG THESE LORE'S ARE SO FUCKING FUNNY!!!!!!

  • halo doesn't have lore

  • @eddy67 Read the books.

  • Well technically if you think about it, firing the Halos could send the Covenant to Heaven.

  • Lot's of responses? Too lazy to find the beginning.

  • 0:28 ermm death star explosion?

  • LOL firefly

  • i find it ridiculous that from halo reach to the end of halo 3 is just a few months

  • eumh i dont understand anymore... halo 1 is after (?) halo reach right? so how did the humans rised again?

  • @remlly I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I'll do my best with given space. Reach is Humanity's primary shipyard and research base. It gets royally boned. There is an awesome space battle in that star system, and Captain Keys commanding the Pillar of Autumn is a badass, but it's a hopeless fight. Insert the Cole Protocol (wiki it), but Cortana is curious and has hacked out some secure data pointing to a star system that happens to qualify. She jumps there for the escape. Start Halo 1.

  • @remlly As to how the humans survive. It's a combination of dumb luck, the spartans are badasses, and the Arbiter being charismatic enough to start a civil war in the Covenent. The UNSC was on the ropes, falling back on all fronts. With Reach Destroyed Earth based government had a projected year before collapse to general panic or Covenant destruction of all the inner colonies. At the End of the games, There are only a couple billion humans left in the galaxy. They don't really 'rise again'

  • @CathakLinari well, atleast theres more humans then than there are here on earth

  • @remlly they didnt need to,reach was the place where the badass spartans came from, basicaly, reach was a sort of colony, not the whole human population, because the big head of UNSC(United Nations Space Command) HQ is on Earth.Understand?

  • wmds lol no... WUD weapons of universe destruction

  • i enjoyed reach... especially the end... last man standing ftw

  • The Forerunners created the Flood as a Biotech weapon against an even older race then them, known as the Precursors.

  • @PakieDaBomb No.

  • At 0:49 the assault rifle gunfire is the same as the Warthog Turret's gunfire.

  • I miss halo 3

  • god i wish they would have based the game on the book

  • Hmmm. I just read the book to find out the story in fact i read the book years before the game came out and was pretty mad to find out the game had nothing to do with the book i mean it could have at least brought some of the spartans from the book into the game

  • love the Firefly reference.

  • The "Forerunner" in the scene with the flood, is dressed like your character in Marathon, Bungies previous game.

  • I think it should be narrated by Caboose!

  • Basically, this video is for anyone who was too lazy to read the books.

  • 80 cod fanboys watched this

  • er reach halo wars den reach den 1 2 3 soon 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 wrong timeline man!!!!!

  • @bolyhap That's the story line that they have

  • "Clearly they didn't get the memo" xD

  • @Azurepandemonium Yes, that is a healslime from dragon quest on the far right.

  • Halo reach does not follow the storyline of the books, read the books: Fall of reach, the flood, first strike, and Ghosts of Onyx

  • @AdeptNovice

Play the last level. You will see tens of Spartan III bodies there.

  • Hmmm game only gives you like 6 Spartans...some army.

  • @yemanatee011 there's like 35 convienently off-screen ^.^ 21 of them die in a pelican crash! ._.

  • @yemanatee011 there is a secret spartan at the end...S117 was hidden in the pelican at the end

  • 0:34 LOL Mal!

  • Youtube advertisements: ads in a minute

  • All Spartans were sent to Reach? Where the hell were other spartans in Reach? lol

  • @AdeptNovice Actually RED FLAG took place on a different day. The operation took place on August 27th, but Reach wasn't invaded until September.

  • 0:35 baby chief

  • 0:35 tht shit was too funny

  • Grief killer is also right...

  • Gmac has it correct. Th books are cannon

  • @xGmac3000x What you're looking for is in a book called Contacr Harvest

  • I'm not sure. but most of this isn't right is it?

  • just going to point out that if you've read any of the new halo forerunner books you'll have learnt that the forerunners fought against the humans and defeated them before they learnt of the flood. but the librarian set it all up so the humans who were "devolved" by the forerunners could use their technology once they are gone.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:34 Firefly reference!

  • This isn't accurate... Is it?

  • WHY CAN"T YOU ALL JUST WATCH HALO:LEGENDS OTHER THAN WATCHING IT LIKE THIS!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?

  • @xGmac3000x Lol forerunners evolve they are the top of the line

  • @Skylordnugget Technically since forerunners turned into humans you say evolved.

  • So much wrong with this

  • the covenant didn't fight humans only because of the threat to their journey, the covenant which was lead by the prophets worshipped forerunners, the humans were related to forerunners. The prophets wanted to stay in power and feared that the covenant would worships humans because of the relationship, so they decided to exterminate humans...

  • @xGmac3000x Hence they were a threat to the great journey.

  • @GRlFKlLLER I think saying humans are a threat to the great journey was a just a cover up to get the covenant to kill humans. If the humans weren't related to forerunners the prophets wouldn't have gone to war against them. I mean

  • And this children is the true story of Halo Reach found within literature (and Halo Waypoint for you people who can't read, or are just so lazy) unlike the one in the game (which was pulled out of Bungie's ass and doesn't fit in very well with the book and might as well be considered noncannon with that many plot holes)

  • @KOAHUNT3R except the book is/was rewritten to fit

  • @eoghan93 Well from what I've heard the only change in the book was instead of a pelican carrying the 70 somethin children, was changed to an Albertross. If the ending of the book was changed, then there would be more plot holes in the story than there was going from Transformers 1 to Transformers 2.

  • @KOAHUNT3R You'd think the company that created the ENTIRE SERIES would know how the story should go down... But that's just my opinion.

  • @D4RKNESS100 And you'd think George Lucas would know exactly where all the Star Wars games, comics, and books fit in with his Saga's storyline? Most likely he doesn't, but hey as long as his franchise is making money right?

  • @KOAHUNT3R As far as I'm concerned, the creator of the franchise has the correct interpretation of the plot. Anything else is all fan created.

  • @D4RKNESS100 I understand your point of view, but the thing is this. Bungie had a storyline already written out for Reach, but they chose not to use it. Now I'll agree with the game up until the Covienant armada arrives, but the rest of the game should've followed the book after that point as in more intense space combat (which would've made an interesting multiplayer game type). Taking out Covie ships from the inside, and Lone Wolf would be Castle Base's defense.

  • @KOAHUNT3R Or just watch Halo: Legends :P

  • @KOAHUNT3R "this is the definitive Halo, made by the people who CREATED Halo" -Martin O'Donnel talking about Halo: Reach.

I dont care what some author wrote in a book, what is in the game is canon

  • @HibbsDibble92 See that is where that excuse falls flat and breaks a few teeth. Fall of Reach was written and released before Halo 1 as an introduction. It was considered cannon to explain how Spartans came to be and what exactly happened. The books are not some fan fiction (or the first three anyways), they were specifically created to give us a visual back story that the games could not fit in. Again... the game carries too many plot holes

  • @KOAHUNT3R so Eric Nylund created Halo and decides what is canon? No, Bungie did, now 343i does and has said multiple times that they are making sure that the literature and games will be more connected from now on. Read through the new Fall of Reach 3 part comic book. What is in that is what should be considered canon.

Have fun crying about fictional events

  • @HibbsDibble92 sadly you're right. the books are way better than the actual game but since halo was "born" in games and made by bungie, the owner and the games tell the actual real story. Original media, original owners.

  • @KOAHUNT3R i agree about the plot holes

Ex.:Chief escapes Covenant, but they find him again,he searches for the control room of Halo, nothing useful there, goes around the place, finds the Flood, meets 343 thinking that he can help him, they go for the Index,343 apparently lied to Chief,Chief blows up Halo right after an epic timed ,,Get the fuck out of here Chief'' scene, and flies off in a fighter, and Sgt.Johnson somehow survives the big KABOOM.

I count at least 4 plot twists there.

  • @KOAHUNT3R wait,so Bungies super mega awesome game series are based of a book, not the book of the game?

  • @supermaksas

No. Halo was in development before The Fall of Reach was published. I believe they started working on Halo around like 1998 as a "Myth clone", but evolved into a FPS. They contacted Eric Nylund to make a novel for Halo and gave him a "Halo Story Bible" to make sure his story was canon.

The Fall of Reach was published before Halo: Combat Evolved in preparation for the game.

  • @KOAHUNT3R theres a problem here. i dont know if the game reach came before or after the book. but come on dude. the other games came BEFORE the books im pretty sure. maybe the books have a bit more info but if something is drastically different then im sorry then i think i would go with the game

  • @ahh10123

Actually, Halo: The Fall of Reach came out before Halo: Combat Evolved as a promotion for the game, and Halo: First Strike, which takes place in between Halo 1 & 2, came out before Halo 2.

So technically, the books came out first.

  • 0:34 Mallory from Firefly

  • actually it was 100000 years ago but ok...

  • At 0:30 at least the children were orphans

  • @xGmac3000x no they werent :/

  • @HaloWarlord117117 read the books, the children were orphans and were replaced by advanced robot clones that were programed to die of a natural cause soon after

  • But. Humans actually knew how to destroy the flood. But destroyed how to, so the foreunners would die for devolving us.

  • ME GUSTA!

  • @speedyfreek15 Basically, the humans were the ones who started the war with the Forerunners, not the other way around. Humans had destroyed a load of galaxies on which the Forerunners had resettled other species, so they didn't really have any choice but to devolve us. As for your other question, I think they're like, genetically related to the Forerunners or something. You should look it up on the wiki if you want all the details. :)

  • @ScoopMeisterGeneral humans are genetically related to forerunners which is why the war started, the covenant worshipped the forerunners and when the prophets found out the humans were directly related they were scared that they would lose power to the humans so they wanted to exterminate all the humans

  • 0:13 Is that a healslime from dragon quest I see?

  • @Azurepandemonium Definitely looks like I'm not the only one who saw that. Didn't expect that many likes.

  • @Azurepandemonium Afraid not mate, unless im mistaken that is MJOLNIR Recon 54, the cyborg security officer from bungies older game series, marathon.

  • I still dont understand something: there was a human-forerunner war in 100000 bc the forerunners were fighting the flood at that time too, they needed more territory, so they took that of the humans,i dont understand why they didnt ask the humans for help against a common enemy, they just devolved them! also why can humans activate the forerunner halos.

  • @speedyfreek15 As i understand it from reading the Forerunner Saga books. (I'm on Primordium now) the Librarian imprinted the humans with memories and possibly old souls (?) of past humans as well as other memories allowing humans to access the halo's. So when the Halo's were fired and all the species were returned to their homeworlds, humans would have been the long descendents of the original variants of humans with these memory imprints.....hope that made sense.

  • @speedyfreek15 Humans can activate the halos, but humans didn't coexist with the forerunners, the forerunners kinda evolved into humans

  • That actually made more sense then the campaign mode.

  • A SLIME FROM DRAGON WARRIOR MONSTERS 0:15 AHHHH! I LOVE SLIMES.

  • what happens next: the humans battle it out and have a spartan team called noble team battle the covenant to their last breath with sacrifices. then Noble 6 is given an A.I called cortana and delivers it to the pillar of autumn which then escapes from reach as it is glassed. thats the end of reach

  • I've played them all.

    Original - Awesome

    2 - Flat out amazing

    3 - Reletavely decent

ODST - pretty good - throwback to classic shooters (with healthpacks)

Reach - pretty damn broken: weapons were so drastically different and unresponsive. Musical score was meh. Friendly AI was retarded, and made me wish they could die. Worst one out of the bunch. Focuses on looking pretty rather than being a good PLAY. Anybody born before 2005 can tell you good graphics does not a good game make

    Wars/CE fan serv

  • @TheHylianJuggalo

didn't take into account the fact that your standards went up since the first games :P

  • can i have a ten minute version of this please, the halo storyline is to epic to be told in 1 minute

  • 00:13 smiley face flood in the bottom right :3

  • 00:13 smiley face flood in the bottom right :3

  • He forgot about Harvest, were the humans really first encountered the cov. and the first cov. they fought were brutes, they wanted a peace ceremony and the humans thought they veggie heads, but the cov. sent down dumbass brutes instead, and when the humans gave them a fruit basket type deal as a peace offer, the retard brutes though the humans were giving them the planet of Harvest

  • Been playing Halo since the begining and I dident know alot of this.

  • @Fungrounds then your a noob XD

  • 0:27 Star wars death star explosion? Anyone?

  • Do a Lore lore

  • That's pretty close

  • 0:32 OMG FIREFLY!!!!!

  • .....wut

  • 0:35 NIGGA STOLE MY BIKE!

  • @Goepie Nigga stole my tyke.

  • @Goepie LIFE*********

  • Gahahaha, It's Mal. :)

    Love it.

  • *SIGH*

  • Comment removed

  • Why the hell did they say halo reach lore when it was halo lore

  • in the year 2525

  • what about after reach?!?!?!?

  • @Naccix4 reach is the very beginning, before the First Halo

  • well yeah, thats pretty much the entire story in 1 minute 11 seconds.lolz

  • 1 minute and 21 seconds btw

  • 0:14 MARATHON GUY

  • the covenant thought human settlements were forerunner artifacts right? so maybe the forerunners de-evolved themselves and sent their de-evolved species to earth so they would be able to start over, after they fired the halo? because the halo only destroyed sentient life right? it's just a theory...

  • @speedyfreek15 Humans were sentient, and there is already an explanation for all that stuff. Read the books to find out.

  • There's a story for Halo? What's next, a story for Call of Duty?

  • @werebee are you kidding right, halo probably has one of the most in depth storylines out of all the games series, i mean ffs they did megaman lore!

  • @GeneralAdvance Yes, I was kidding. Obviously.

  • @werebee there is no sarcasm font, sorry

  • @werebee There's been a story for Halo since before the first game.

  • @Halo1138 I was just kidding. I know there's actually a fairly deep story, but it's only really known for the multiplayer.

  • @werebee Depending on who you talk to, really. I very much value both.

  • the Foreigners were taken out by the flood

  • the whole point of 'lore in a minute' is to get it done in a minute people so stop bitching about how fast he was speaking you should read the title of a link before you click it. IDIOTS!

  • Sounds like you're saying foreigners instead of Forerunners. Did your parents not teach you to speak slowly and pronounce your words?

  • @Bugattiboy912 The whole point is to speak fast, that is why it's called in a minute...

  • @TheBalrukt but it was a minute and 9 seconds, im disappointing

  • @Ogeterdone46 you gotta take into account the theme music at the begining

  • @Ogeterdone46 A minute and 1 second, not counting the intro or the stuff at the end :3

  • and we all know how Reach turned out...

  • The problem with the game compared to the book is that there were no spartan 3 on it. they were all spartan 2.

  • Oh yes, speak slower, 'cause I don't realize that's THE FUCKING JOKE.

  • Nice vid Eli

  • Does anyone else notice that the forrunner at 0:14 looks like the guy you play as in Marathon

  • Mal Reynolds. tee hee
