  • Now they want to take away women's choice to use birth control. What are they going to do? They don't have jobs. Their husbands are underemployed. And to top it off now they are trying to force women to bring children, they can't afford, to watch them starve to death. Great way to improve America people.

  • @FroggyHope Maybe they are trying to make America a second China. A land bursting with people, forced eventually to enforce a one child law because the U.S.A will be overpopulated. Though they are also going to have to offer their people government healthcare for all, just like China does, so it can be cheap for the companies to employ Americans for pennies on the hour.

  • Oh FFS teatroll "H1tman" (intellectual moniker confirmed)... Run along with your playground debate repertoire and Reagan wet dreams, kid. Find a klan rally or some Fox orgy to partake in...You're way out of your league. I still have fodder twice as capable as you in the treads of my shoes. ...so typical of you paid tea trolls, just frothing and foaming with adolescent tripe on some comment section. But keep clawing at relevance, you'll be ignored as the vapid challenge you are. Buh-bye

  • @BWS1982 Yeah you're such an intellectual heavyweight who couldn't even figure out how to reply to a comment. And a random, retarded, incoherent babble at that. Stay on your meds nut.

  • Willing to bet that a Republican cannot make an 8 hour speech on defending tax cuts for the rich

  • @wangsta25 Why? Is a "rich" not an American that needs defending? Do they not have constitutional rights? Are they a pinata at the mercy of the majority to be beat open at will? Prick.

  • @H1TMANactual lol I think we're doing a pretty good job of defending the constitutional rights of the rich. In fact, we're OVERTLY protecting the constitutional rights and interests of the rich. Right now the middle class and the majority is the pinata that the rich are beating open. Get off the corporate dick and start thinking common sense.

  • @wangsta25 You can't "overtly" protect a right. Try again.

I don't like dick of any kind. Maybe you do. Spew some other rhetoric, tired of hearing that one. I am for lower taxes for everyone. You on the other hand are a hypocrite who wants to raise taxes on others.

  • @H1TMANactual Really? How come Republicans fight tooth and nail to preserve tax cuts for the rich while they turn a blind eye on the middle class payroll tax cuts? Right now Republicans care about property rights over human rights.

  • @H1TMANactual Benjamin Franklin once said democracy is when two wolves and a sheep decide what to have for dinner. This "mob rule" NEVER once happened in American history because corporate money, lobbyists, and independent interests hav destroyed the democratic process. So yes, the rich's constitutional rights are HEAVILY and OVERTLY protected over those of the middle classes' rights. With that said, American democracy is when a frog and a hundred flies decide what to have for dinner.

  • @H1TMANactual I love how hardcore market fundamentalists like yourself claim you're "Constitutionalists" yet you shit on the part of the Constitution that says "promote the general welfare." Wake the fuck up, who do you think Thomas Jefferson would side with? The richest .01% or the rest of us? Remember, Jefferson hated financiers, bankers, and industrialists and supported yeoman farmers.

  • @wangsta25 Jefferson was actually a classical liberal as were most founding fathers. I don't support anyone specific. I support everyone's right to keep what they earn, not hypocrites like you who want to shamelessly raise taxes on other. Jefferson explained the welfare clause actually - "They are not to lay taxes ad libitum for any purpose they please; but only to pay the debts or provide for the welfare of the Union". Try again.

  • @H1TMANactual Yeah, hence we have to raise taxes to help pay for the national debt and to fund social programs. BUT NO!!! THESE COMMUNIST TAXES WILL KILL JOB CREATORS AND ALL THESE REGULATIONS WILL TURN US INTO NAZI GERMANY!!!

  • @wangsta25 It's like talking to a kid. Let's try something simpler:

By your logic should we raise it to 100% then? The higher the better right? How much capital do you think will be left to invest?

  • @H1TMANactual I want the EFFECTIVE rate to be 35%. That's right, let millionaires actually pay the percentage the BUSH TAX CUTS allow them to pay. Right now the average for millionaires is 22%. Wait, am I now a Socialist liberal Nazi Communist if I want them to pay the amount the Bush tax cuts are wanting them to pay?

  • @wangsta25 You can advocate 35% on millionaires, when you're paying 35 yourself. That's what makes you a hypocrite. I sure don't want to pay 35, which is why I don't advocate it for others either. Nazi are fascist, the opposite of communist. No you're not socialist communist, you're simply a hypocrite.

  • @H1TMANactual Yeah I think those middle class parasites should also pay the same rate multi-millionaires are paying, I mean it's all about equality right? I'll start paying a 35% tax rate when I'm part of the group that owns and controls 43% of the total wealth in the U.S. What? You actually understand the difference between fascism and communism?!?! Congrats man you are the FIRST conservative/libertarian I've ever met who can differentiate between the two.

  • @wangsta25 Yes. Or don't be hypocrite and advocate a higher tax rate on others. And don't cry to me about wealth. You want wealth, go out and work for it. Most millionaires are self made. We have a very progressive income tax. Top 1% also pay 17% of the income tax.

  • @H1TMANactual Top 1% also own 43% of the total wealth. If u understand basic mathematics then u'll know that they're paying too little

  • @wangsta25 And why shouldn't they? What exactly did a high school drop out working a minimum wage do to have the same wealth as Bill Gates? You got do a lot better than MSNBC rhetoric to beat me. The wealth disparity has increased but go look up if the real wages of the lowest have also gone up.

Does this sum up your mentality? - /watch?v=okHGCz6xxiw

  • @H1TMANactual Nobody is advocating that you are erecting a strawman. We just want the wealthiest among us, the ones who have done the best, because the system was biased in their favor to start paying their fair share, so that the lower and middle class are spared further pain from deficit reduction

  • Bernie Sanders needs to run for president. But he'd never win. Because he exposes campaign contributors.

  • @Rofistim As a Norwegian, I have to say that I agree completely! It's hard to connect with nutcases like Perry, Bachmann and Palin, but Bernie S. is right on the money. The system is corrupt and has got to change. And I have to point out that although I am a centrist in Norwegian politics, not even our far-right parties would consider to change from "socialized medicine" (the big bad communist wolf) to the Republican policy of "You're on your own, biatch!". And then there is the death penalty...

  • Somebody, explain me why he doesnt join the democrat?

  • Comment removed

  • Bernie Sanders is one of the last true American heroes. USA is going down..

  • I wish Bernie would have run for president in 2008. He would have kicked

the T baggers back to the loony bin. Someone like Rick Perry in the

White House and T nuts in control of congress will turn a class war into

a civil war. Ironically when people in the middle east are shedding blood

to install democracy, we're fighting to preserve it..

  • @Rofistim Check out ron Paul he is Americas only hope

  • @bartybum You need to pull your head out of the sand read up on Ron's draconian insanity, he's a pro-pollution, anti-choice, homophobic, raging bigot and crazy theocrat who's stuck in 1860....Get real.

  • @BWS1982 And Obama is a Kenyan martian sent by Lord Zulu to socialize America.

Oh wait I am not a retard like yourself that needs to make shit up.

  • If this man became president, all the republicans would have their tails permanently stuck between their legs

  • Right on, Bernie - you are speaking the truth, and this is sorely needed right now - not just in the US, but everywhere in the world. We're way off base on a global scale, and living in a kind of a delusion, thinking that this type of behaviour can last forever, and that we don't have to do anything different. In the meantime, the climate change continues, as we currently lack the global political willpower to do anything about it. It's time to turn this train around before it's too late.

  • This guy is my definite hero! Go Bernie!

  • 15:42 "They're rich, they love their mon... they love their country!" Nice slip.

  • "We now know that government by organized money, is just as dangerous as government by organized mob!" - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Somewhere, I think we forgot what we learned from the Great Depression...

  • @Rofistim Believe me, most people in America have not heard of Bernie Sanders. The powers that be are scared of him. He also is the representative of what most people think of as a "conservative" state, vermont. Most people want to be represented by Bernie Sanders, but people like him have difficulty running.

  • Some Western Governments need to be drastically "DOWNSIZED" if you ask me which would save us tax payers a hell of a lot of money. Most of them are parasites who live off the backs of us slaves. They need to go! Go the Revolution!

  • awesome, but how could you possibly keep speaking for 8 1/2 hours?! are congressmen allowed to sleep during a debate?

  • if providing the people with the basic nesessities of life is socialism then fine im a socialist

  • b0ss

  • WHAT.A.BRO

  • surprise surprise, the most intelligent congressman is an independant.

  • @killerguitar44 He is actually a democratic socialist.

  • @MCLogikILL

    Yeah, and an independant.

  • @MCLogikILL Actually we have a word for that, which is called a Progressive.

The other term is social democrat, it is a political party in other modern worlds who have made great stride and knocked US from the #1 seat long ago except for you know.. military size. If nothing else we have bigger guns and more soldiers. LOL

Empires always fall, and we are becoming an empire ruled by Corporations.

  • I was thinking that when someone filibusters, they just drag up complete non-sense to make their speech as long as possible. Sounded like he actually made note-worthy points for 8 and a half hours there... Watching the west wings filibuster and the guy read several random books such as a recipe book, and the rules of card games.

  • Too bad the orchestration of 9/11 wasn't aimed at the federal reserve and wall street ONLY!!!!!! *sigh* Too bad for the rest of the american people, say goodbye to your money, and do it quickly!

  • @Rofistim Dude thats so true about Sweden.

What's ruining America is the corporate politicians, both Republicans and Democrats.

  • Bernie I know you have already said you won't but please, please, PLEASE run for President in 2012!

  • This man will go down in History as one of the few who was actually "Worthy" of holding public office!

  • my point is he will not..RED Bernie is a Marxist, not an idealist...Hiv+ in cuba, gulag for you no problem you are just a cog in the wheel of socialism....dont like robert mugabe? screw you you are tool of big business, I dont want Newt Gingrech or this man telling me what to do....this clown was actually sad when the BERLIN WALL FELL

  • RONALD WILSON REAGAN COUNT THE LETTERS IN EACH WORD ! 666

  • @k9kmc

somebody's been watchin dem der boondocks

  • If you believe in Human rights , Freedom and Liberty, than Sanders is NOT your man..look at his record...no criticism of Ortega, No problem with the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, where they machine gunned schoolchildren, no problem with Castro gunning down people in Inner tubes trying to flee the "Workers Paradise"Yeah call me a Republican, im not......

  • @angryscowl

Wow if you're standard is what politicians DON'T CRITICIZE... that leaves EVERY politician ... and just about every human guilty of something.

  • You should all educate yourselves and be thankful there is at least one senator out there who is actually speaking on your behalf despite your ignorance. Go Sanders, you're a national hero! At least the people have one man in their corner!

  • more sanders and pauls, less rich people

  • We must Worship Obama! Long live Socialism!!!!!!!

  • @angryscowl How is obama socialist.

  • doesnt this red animal have something better to do than destroy the USA

  • It feels wrong that no-one clapped.

  • @clowee921 they were sleeping

  • why do people think rich people create "all" the jobs? what would you do if you all of a sudden inherited 1 billion dollars? You'd buy some property and retire and have fun and fuck mistresses. Am I right? Am I fucken RIGHT? so then why the hell do the GOP make us swallow the lie that the rich who will get richer with tax cuts will create jobs? Are the rich someone more human than human? are they not susceptible to the same vices and virtues as any of us middle class people? think bout it

  • @dalecampbl7

that is why you arent rich, winners invest

  • with these comments of who cares! I can see just why the filthy rich get what they want, and Always-Anytime.

You off on something not important as the AGENDA! Get with IT American People, we are in a real hell of a mess. This man is pointing that out to us, and them!

Don't sweat the small stuff, stick together as Americans and let's stop this; and take what this, elder but very strong, man is saying and feeling. If he can do it so can we:)

Be happy/strong & kick some greedy ass! Already

  • My bad! As a Canadian, I'm not well-versed in the Senate protocols...Thanks for the clarification.

  • Madam President!!! Not sure if that was a Freudian slip...

  • @MasterPager Brush up on your civics my friend. The Vice President serves as President of the Senate. In his absence often the most senior member of the majority party present in the Senate house takes the chair and oversees the Senate and would be acting as "the President of the Senate" Senators must address the person presiding over the Senate body as "Mr President" or "Madame President". Obviously this was a marathon speech so clearly there were several changes to who had the chair

  • @MasterPager So throughout the entire speech when he is addressing "Mr President" he is not talking to President Obama he is addressing the President of the Senate. It is standard protocol.

  • "wait a second... are you nuts? do u really think that millionaires and billionaires need a huge tax break at a time when this country has a 13.7 trillion dollar national debt? WHAT. ARE. YOU. SMOKING??"

  • @armida55

yeah, because they create jobs, jackass and if you red bastards actually cared about the deficit you would STOP SPENDING!!!!!

  • @armida55 i wish we had 13.7 trillion dollars in national debt, then again the comment is a year old
