  • I like your intro Jesse. You sound like the announcer from Soul Train with a dash of Berry White. ;)

  • Yes, Detroit produced Techno. Derrick May used to go to Chicago to listen to Ron Hardy. I believe the music made in Detroit was supposed to be house, but with our sterile, technological robotic environment in Detroit, what was supposed to be Detroit House Music became the invention of Techno.

    ONE!

  • Chicago 1984 The birth of house music? The Loft started in the 70's so how's that possible?

  • On & ON was the 1st house record on vinyl:before Music Is The Key, before Move Your Body, before Love Can't Turn Around and before Jack Your Body! :-)

  • great jessie e old school house!! god bless house music

  • Chicago? Thought it was Detroit!??

Oh yeah that's Acid House origin right?

  • Detroit had nothing to do with either of those. Detroit is Techno!

  • 1:59 - That statement says it all.

"It's OK", one of the first slabs of Vinyl I purchased...and the rest is history...

  • So which was first - "On and On" or J.M. Silk's "Music is the Key"??

  • !Love it baby :), especially the history behind the music. I'm glad Chicago House Music is finally getting the credit it is due!

  • It's a bootleg of D-Train's You're The One For me," was released on MN2s out London about 5 years ago.

  • Thanks for making this...Can someone tell me what song plays, the one starting at 1:50 until the end of the video?

Part of the beat sounds like a part of The Prodigy's "Girls", looks like again they stole a beat from earlier music...
