  • Hi, treblechoir99. I LOVE your collection of videos. I've only recently become a fan of treble choir music. A friend sent me a Youtube link to the American Boychoir singing Richard Clark's Ave Maria (plainchant). I became an instant fan. Just type "ave maria clark" in the Youtube search and enjoy!

  • I'm singing on this recording! Chorister 1990-1994.

  • @donuldvan Young chorister at this date. Rewarding for you, I'm sure and precious moment I think.

  • @donuldvan how old are you at this recording? which party do you sing?

  • @donuldvan bs

  • gourgous

  • I am not even Catholic and I find this song absolutely beautiful.

  • @SeyrusPD How could you not? It honors the Mother of God, the Queen of Heaven.

By our Lord's Grace, He gave His Mother to us as He died upon the Cross. And we honor her for the grace, faith, courage, and strength of character which she has displayed to us. She is the epitome of a Woman.

  • Absolutely beautiful!! I loved this piece when I sang it with Three Spires Singers In Truro Cathedral. I suspect Andrew Nethsingha, our conductor then, was a contemporary of Andrew Carwood?

  • i love music like this. so relaxing

  • Lovely

  • Always the BEST from Westminster! Thank you so much for uploading! God Bless!!!

  • I sung on this recording!!

  • M A G N I F I C E N T !!!!!!!!!!!

  • this one is amazing.

  • Is this the same Andrew Carwood who is now Director of music at St. Paul's Cathedral?

  • Yes It's him. Also lay clerk at Christ Church, Oxford.

  • Thank you. I thought it must be. I first remember him as a Choral Scholar at St John's in the 1980's. He has certainly come a long way!!

  • Thank you for uploading. My old choir. Former chorister 1980-84

  • Good to see you here. From Hyperion label I have all CD in this period lol Westminster Cathedral is my favourite in England. Appreciat your comment.

  • Simple and Marvellous... Waouh!!! Bravo and thank you.

  • Appreciat, welcome.

  • Nice performance of splendid romantic Mendelssohn work. I enjoyed singing it myself (1st bass) in my choir.

  • Andrew this is just lovely!

  • Absolutley Beautiful, Like a diamond this music will last forever and will always be kept as sacred

  • One word ....... Enchanting. I have another word for you ...... Magnificant! This is what every church should have. Brilliant. Just Brilliant. I could go on and on with words for this choir, so beautifully trained. They are what make this cathedral known to people. Great Work! Thank you, for posting.

  • You're very welcome.

  • Grazie,Felix!!!!! Op.23

  • We sang this with our choir in Denmark and I had the tenor solo. . I enjoyed it so much, this peace is just so amazing. . Thanks for posting!

  • I'm sure, rewarding for you.

  • Hvikket kor synger du i ?

Nicklas her. .

  • what a song, this is such a beautiful rendition of this song. it made me feel just flat out good about myself. i felt like i was at peace. i put this song on and close my eyes, and it takes all my worries away. truly magnificent...

  • It's not Megadeath is it?

  • That is magnificent! There is always this special timbre of English choirs, amazing singing, and the tenor has such a pure projection.

Thank you so much, it all adds to the Christmas spirit.

  • Andrew Carwood has an amazing voice. So versatile. I've heard him live in concert quite a few times. He is my favorite tenor for choral music. I was a vocal student of his for a short period and he is a wonderful teacher. I can't forget to add that he is a beautiful and loving individual and I am so grateful to have met him.

He became Director of Music at St Paul's Cathedral, London in September 2007.

  • You are soooo fortunate! Are you still singing and what voice?

We are so lucky to have youtube and all those generous people who take the time to share!

  • AH OUI!!!!!!!

    Magnifique.
