Many people compare Carnival is forever with Massugah's alike style of playing. I disagree. You'll obviously find some Messugah inspirations on this album, but up to my taste Swedish are to predictable in their style while Decapitated is driffting from one sounding experiment to the other. There's much more creativity into Decapitated's music and they're far more musically interesting (heavier to). Decapitated wins hands down in the matter of musical ambience according to my taste...

@patiomkin2001 See this song is the MOST Meshuggah-esque song on the album and even then it still fits with the slower songs on Organic Hallucinosis (which is where the band was heading towards!) Decapitated have never been about flat out death to me (not in a Hate Eternal / Origin / Vader way where they destroy by blunt force trauma). They've always had that groove about them that just slays.
