That's cool. Yeah, 7-8 seconds is a very respectable time for a stock (assumption) Rango. I know a guy who's shaved off 2+ seconds off his 0-60 with modifications. Cheers
It's stock, and unfortunately, my dad won't be modifying it any time soon. In fact, because of rising fuel costs, he's looking at replacing it. Maybe he'll sell it to me for a good price... (crossing fingers)
I wasn't really trying to race it, but testing it out. It was pretty quick for its size, weight and gearing. I usually do this to any car I drive, just to see how it performs.

You're the first to notice.
That was a local spot in the Rusty Humphries Show, and my dad was the announcer voice at the beginning. Seems fitting, since this is his car...

My wife drives an '03 Rango with the 4.7 We just drive it as a grocery-getter.
Although, the Magnaflow muffler and the K&N filter help a little We like it.

You're trying to race a +/- 5,300 lb monster SUV. If you want 0-60 time, use the same engine in a lighter vehicle.
That being said I love kicking in my HEMI D too. :-)
