I'll admit they're not the best dunes I've ever ridden but they have some good spots and it's fun. I'd much rather go to Winchester but with Diesel prices these days Moses Lake is the only affordable option....
Moses isn't great for riding, the volcanic ash is totally dusty you're right. It's a great experience though. We just kept in 5th the whole time and the lake is great.
@MrDirtbiker250r you don't need them. but they make a huge difference. and for moses being shitty, it's better than going to the local trails. no dust.
moses lake isnt that small..i go to coos bay every august and florence every thanksgiving and your right moses doesnt compare to there..but moses lake is a fun weekend trip
moses lake is weak, Oregon coast is where the real riding is at. If you haven't done florence in oregon, check it out. Stay at the park motel, it's only three minutes from the dunes, nice little cabins. The riding is incredible.
I can't agree w/ ya more, they are small and dusty....... still rated the number one ORV park in WA. Probably never made it out to the mud flats? Woundn't want to get your bad ass dirty. Do yourself a favor and stay off my beach......
great video. Moses is a good weekend trip especially when you dont have sand paddles (the ones i bought are taking a while because they have to make the rims) but id rather do the oregon coast any day
Yeah I don't really like Moses Lake much myself.. It's nice because it's only a few hours away so I can go for the day or the weekend alot easier than say Sand Lake or something.. But I definitely hate how dusty they are, gotta clean my filters after each day at that place -.-
By the way if you didnt catch the sarcasm there, you should consider going back to 4th grade.
Moses lake dunes are NOT terrible, considering the fact that in washington there really arent that many places to ride. The moses lake dunes are big enough..

the dunes are small but you just got a bad day its almost never dusty and oregon dunes are bad ass and and california dunes ftw
MegaBankz 2 years ago
@06erdj450 the reason our dunes are so dusty is because on mt saint heleans. theres a ton of ash out there
gixxerguy4909 11 months ago
weird how dunes would be dusty.
with all that sand and wind, having dust is impossible...
btw you havent gotten through half of the moses lake dunes if you think they're small. lol.
peow130 3 years ago
Impossible huh? It is still full of ash from when Mt. St. Helens blew in the 80s.
And have you ridden the Oregon dunes? We're talking miles and miles and miles BIGGER than Moses....
06erdj450 3 years ago
Yeah I just got back from the Florence dunes in Oregon last week. That was ENORMOUS compared to Moses Lake.
