  • what version is the bibles that local church bible publishers sell?

  • nice bible i checked out the website the new ones have black and white treads why doesnt yours? is it because its an older one? i like the one u have.

  • The Bible is for one reason only, to lead people to Jesus because the bums who are giving them away have not the power or gumption to do it themselves. Once you are led to Jesus, you do not need the treasure map anymore. The Bible ends with the Revelation of Jesus Christ which is that HE IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, HE IS THE WORD OF GOD AND THE ONLY WAY TO LIFE IS TO FOLLOW HIM.... ALL OTHERS WILL LEAD TO DECEPTION... DO NOT THINK THAT READING THE BIBLE WILL SAVE YOU... JESUS NEVER SAID..

  • @twowitnessesoftheson READ THE BIBLE!!!

  • @twowitnessesoftheson I have 37 times since 2001, Thanks...

  • @BrianMcClurg1 Are you following Jesus? Are you being refined in the fire to be as gold? Are you daily dying to the world leading to the overcoming of sin? Are you willfully sinning still? Those who follow the Lamb will overcome sin if they persevere til the very end. The way in narrow and difficult my friend. Peace be with you.

  • The Bible is here for only one reason. You read it once because the bums that are giving it to you are too lost to lead you to Jesus. Once you read it, that is it!!!! The end of the Bible is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. This is the Revelation of Jesus..... HE IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.... FOLLOW HIM AND YOU WILL BE SAVED... FOLLOW ANYTHING ELSE AND YOU WILL BE DECEIVED... THE BIBLE ENDS WITH THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST... ONCE YOU KNOW WHO HE IS THEN IT IS UP TO YOU TO FOLLOW HIM!!

  • Its painfully apparent to they whom walk in Spirit that those who seek to walk in bible are void of The Life of Christ.Among those you pretend to teach your celebrated and shown much flattery because you tell them what they want to hear by bible manipulation.Repent of this and ask Jesus to Reveal Himself to you.Your yet lost in the bible and pretend to teach men what only The Spirit can by revelation.Jesus Leads His Church by Spirit, not scripture.Jesus didnt write the bible, its an Idol, ask Jesus

  • @randywatchingbush Preach on the Truth mt brother!!!

  • @randywatchingbush Amen brother!!! Preach the Truth!!

  • My "daily beater" Bible is actually a hand size Scofield. I don't agree with all Brian says, but I do appreciate his effort to get the word out about LCBP. I believe I will own one as long as I can read the Bible.

  • I wouldn't say that the Bibles really lack quality. They are great Bibles. Like I said, my issue was more with LCBP and the handling of this issue. I am actually a happy LCBP owner, as this 400th special edition is my second Bible from them. I also do have a few RL Allan's, including the goatskin long primer.

  • I see others are disagreeing with mcclurg, as they should.

No wonder LCBP Bibles aren't well known. Better than Allans at next to nothing? Baloney. It's good to see others telling mcclurg the truth. Where's that falling apart Allan in your video Brian? The one you sent me a personal message about?

Everyone not the inconsistent stamped bead around the Bible...missing in places. If they can't get that right, it tells you enough right there.

  • I have received my 400th anniversary edition in last Friday. I now have had a big issue with LCBP that has really soured my view of them. This might be long.

My issue is with the 400th Bible. As you can see on their website, it is listed as a "Gold Stamped" Bible, which is one of the special features that make this particular Bible different, as typical for LCBP is to just print the text onto the spine. The Bible I received is not Stamped as they claim.

  • @aoshia1

Rather, the Bible just has the gold print on the spine, but it doesn't stop there. This print is very sloppy, and crooked on the spine. I was a little shocked with this given this is one of the advertised features making this Bible the special edition that it is. I placed a call with LCBP and you know what their response was? We're not gonna fix it, but we can offer a refund. Apparently all of the Anniversary editions were supposed to be dry stamped.

  • @aoshia1

And this gold stamped version was a mistake. So, that means they did not take the effort to correct the issue when it happened. Now, they are advertising these newer AE (Anniversary Editions) as gold stamped. As I said, mine is not gold stamped, and neither are any of the gold printed AE's. Now, not only was there a mistake with making them all dry stamped versions, but now there is a mistake in them even being stamped. Also, as I've mentioned the lettering is awful.

  • @aoshia1

When I called, LCBP seemed confused as to what I was talking about. They didn't seem to get that the stamping and the lettering are two different things. The result of the talk, is that I could keep the Bible, or get a refund. Basically LCBP would not be taking care of these mistakes and just passed them to us. I will not get the refund, as I would have to pay shipping both ways, nearly canceling the refund. So, from here on out, I am weary if LCBP is going to stand by their Bibles.

  • Comment removed

  • @aoshia1

Now, I know this is nit picky, but that would be unacceptable in most cases. However, given the ministry of LCBP, I just have to shake it off. My disappointment isn't with this Bible, but with LCBP in allowing these mistakes to happen and passing them on as if their attitude is "oh well". From the impression I got, they are still going to falsely advertise these gold printed editions and not change a thing. I mentioned it days ago, and still not a change to the site. We'll see.

  • @aoshia1

So, Brian, if this is the publisher that is so far beyond everyone else in quality, things are in sad shape. I do hope this gets the word out, as I've posted on another youtube video, and LCBP's website that these Bibles are not stamped. I hope others can keep that in mind as they look to purchase the rest of these AE's, and not have to be as confused as I was. Thanks and God Bless!

  • @aoshia1 another disappointed LCBP bible owner

  • @aoshia1 Next time get an R.L. Allan Bible. The representation of Allan Bibles in this video is false. Note he never shows the alleged Allan. In addition he spends time on Allan review sites to spread this fallacy about them, and gets put in his place there as well. WATCH the video, and note the imprint around the LCBP Bible (the bead) is INCONSISTENT(missing in places). They simply don't make the best Bibles, and they AREN'T better than an Allan, and he KNOWS it.

  • @aoshia1 Thanks for shedding light upon the lack of quality with these Bibles, and evidently with how they treat customers. I'll make sure that I get the word out about their quality, or lack thereof. Thanks.

  • Church publishers also steal notes: I say steal because the print copy right materials without getting permission..

  • @Dan20798 Have you ever heard of PUBLIC DOMAIN rights?

  • @Dan20798 Yes...they are questionable. No one has proven the notes are public domain, but I will look into this.

I'd have no problem with this video if it weren't filled with OUTRIGHT lies. He could have said LCBP Bibles are good quality without LYING about Allan Bibles "falling apart." That's lible.

  • Ruckman Reference Bible is a lot better.. Both outside and inside.

  • @Dan20798 LCBP bound the RRB And the CMRB

  • @Dan20798 I've got Both

  • Just saying, they are both great bibles. Their basic structure is the same, so I don't see how you could wear out one of them in two years and the other would last forever. Love brother.

  • The lbcp and the rl allan both are smyth sewn. They are basically built the same.

  • I'm sorry but the Thompson Chain Reference Bible by Kirkbride is the best bible on the market and it is cheaper. My mom had her first one for more than twenty years before it actually began showing any signs of wear.

  • Don't get carrying that big thick Bible in public, you might get arrested for possession of contraband. Nice beard brother. - God Bless

  • @BT3701 "Don't get carrying that big thick Bible in public, you might get arrested for possession of contraband."

And beaten in public with any luck. With that selfsame bible.

  • I did not come across these when I was searching for a high quality bible to replace mine, which was falling apart. I ended up purchasing a Cambridge Concord Wide Margin bible in goatskin leather. Very soft, lays flat, buttery soft, in all I'm very pleased with it. I paid $90 to get it second hand from ebay, new would have been about $170. If the bible you show here is half as nice as it looks, it is a screaming deal for the price.

  • Hey brother sdend me a copy please...

  • It`s good when such a beautiful Bible also is the faithful and flawless Authorised "King James" Version (A.V.). Such an equisite edition is not necessary for the believer, who simply needs a good and unaltered A.V. Bible on whatever kind of paper within whatever kind of covers. Still, it is a joy that such workmanship lavishes itself on the A.V. Bible!

  • Note: Can be found in the fiction section of your favorite book store! :-)

  • the type on this Bible looks pretty small.

  • Just received my Church - Notetakers Bible. I bought it after watching this and a few other LCBP videos. Here is my two-cents on this Bible. For the money (key phrase) it is the best Bible I've come across. However, I'm not willing to say it is way better than my R.L.Allan Bibles. To me there is a distinct difference between my LCBP and my Allans. I bought this not because of the cost but because of the format. If Allan had this format I would return this one and by the Allan.

  • @ylimehajile what format are you referencing?

  • @roaringwaterbay The format of the LCBP Note Taker's Bible. Allan's closest would be their wide margin. I ended up requesting an exchange for my LCBP Note Taker because there was an issue with the cover (bubbling and coming away from the lining underneath). All who are reading please don't get me wrong. For the money there is no Bible on the planet (that I'm aware of) that can touch the LCBP. I just prefer the quality of the R.L. Allan Bibles (full yapp, thicker leather, darker text).

  • @ylimehajile thanks for your feedback. i know allan Bibles are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

  • @ylimehajile You're not the first to receive a copy that had defects that should have never got past quality control. You get what you pay for in an Allan.

  • Thanks brother,God bless! His Word will Stand!!

  • @localphenom The one and only comment of yours that I take exception to is when you ask, "what would Jesus do." (wwjd?) Jesus wouldn't do anything! Jesus is not real.

    Peace

  • @localphenom Agreed. Well said

  • @localphenom What I'm trying to say is how do u know why he got the Israelites to wipe out those nations. I guess if we try to look at it as a farther then maybe we might see why. If u had 5 children and 1 was ill enough to make the rest sick to the point where all would die, would u just leave it as it was and let them all die, or in your mercy would u (as hard as it is) remove that 1 ill child? u might say how do I know thats why, well by reading the Bible its pretty obvious I'd say. Take care

  • @localphenom Well said.

  • It is a bountiful Bible that's for sure and being able to buy it from $200 to $50 is a huge save and well worth it. But if u do not have $200 or even $50 atm but do want a bible with all the study tools etc, I'd suggest your Internet with your PC or if u already have an ipod/iphone, I'v actually gotten some awesome apps that cost 0 from the apps store, take a peak for your self there is so much...good luck! =)

  • @localphenom ppl like u amaze me, why would someone like your self even bother to reply to this. Now I can understand if u have an interest in this, but to go out of your way like u did is actually sad I'v no idea why u think like u do but wish u the best and if u ever did read the Bible and not just take out tiny sound bites from here and there u would be amazed at the share love there is. I guess I'm just stunned how far some ppl's hate goes with 0 or very little knowledge.

  • @WakeupFreinds You should go on stage with that skit...it's hilarious!

  • @OneParticleCharged I'v no idea what I said that makes it "hilarious" but okay I'll try that and take it on the road hehe peace!

  • @WakeupFreinds ..."read the Bible"..."u would be amazed at the share love there is." Such a biting, dry wit. I love it!

  • I like the construction aspects of the book shown, but I'd want an accompanying column [a non-according accordance] of the actual Truth of the matter.

If you truly want to get free, seek the actual Truth, not the silly twisted fairy tales of the bible.

    Religion comforts...and cripples. Honest.

  • I prefer a KJV bible not the new one, all those other bibles are missing massive verses. I cant take them

  • Great resource! The wide margins are excellent! Do they offer it in different versions like NASB/NIV/NKJV ?

  • YOU WANT THE BEST BIBLE IS.........THE COMPANION BIBLE ORIGINALLY RELEASED 1910 IT IS [1611 VERSION] IT HAS ORIGINAL HEBREW AND GREEK LANGUAGES AND NOTE'S IT IS BY FAR THE BEST OF THE BEST EVERYBODY WHO HAS SEEN IT HAS BOUGHT ONE ! EVEN MY MAMA WANTS ONE, SO I'M BUYING HER ONE!

  • honestly, who cares how the Bible is made or its selling value? all that matters is if it has the living, breathing Word of God that has no error in it.

  • @PRL2204 AMEN!!

  • Hmmm... How well do you think it would burn? and if I make up evil imaginary characters like god/jesus and write a bunch of bullshit stories, will you send me $55.00 too?

  • This guy is telling you that these Bibles are superior to R. L. Allan, the BEST bound Bibles on earth, and tells you that Allans don't last? He's LYING. Look at the ratings of these LCBP on their site, where they average 3.5 out of 5 stars.

If you want the BEST Bible, get an R.L. Allan. Don't believe this guy, he's lying.

  • @robgunn1964 I own RL ALLEN Bibles and the Long Primer I currently have is holding up well but I still see the signatures in the back starting to come apart. LCBP are built like a tank and less expensive. I'm sorry but hands down LCBP Bibles can take a beating while RL Allen Bible just DONT last.

  • @BrianMcClurg1

Can't say I've had the same experience. My Long Primer has it's years on it, and is still in great condition. I do have a LCBP Hand Size Scofield that I use as well, and it has held up just the same. I do love both. I actually got a hand size 400th anniversary edition on the way, and will be taking the Scofield to work.

  • @robgunn1964

First let me say that I find your accusation quite out of place and non-Christlike.

Second, WHY would he lie? He has nothing to gain. He's giving HIS OPINION based on HIS experience. You may not agree with him, but to say that HE'S LYING? Besides, we're talking about BIBLES here, to outright be accusing and judging another Christian is totally the wrong testimony on your part. Perhaps this is why YOUR RL Allen bible has lasted so long, my guess is YOU NEVER READ IT!

  • @dangraphic I concur! If you have a mass produced Bible by Zondervan or AMG or Something else not LCBP, then that Bible should start to fall apart after about 5 years of use.

  • @robgunn1964; So now you send me little private messages like a GOSSIPY WIDOW???

You need to get a life mister.

  • @dangraphic Yeah I sent you a private message, telling you the truth, judge. Why the name calling?

Keep in mind, like I told you, I am in good company calling a liar a liar, and it IS Christ like, and Paul like, and like Peter, Jude, Nehemiah, Stephen and many other MEN of God who confronted lies and said it like it is. THAT IS Christ like. Don't like it? Too bad.

Can't handle it then grow a set son.

  • ;) Nice!

  • The site is not easy to use. I could not locate this book. What is the ISBN?

  • Why is the trinity NOT in the Codex SInaticus (the oldest Bible)?

  • @IsaYahya123 cause the "trinity" is a heretical error of the whore

  • @ViviannaluvsJesus

    What whore?

    And are you a Christian?

  • @IsaYahya123 Trinity was created by the Harlot Papacy Justinian the 3rd. Research on the Catholic Encyclopedia type in Trinity or Justinian and see for yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @ViviannaluvsJesus

Yeah I know, Trinity is false! I know you are not going to believe me, but Paul was a false apostel and nobody believed him in his time, read his Letter to 1 Korintiers 9:1-3 and same Letter champter 15: 12-19 and 15:29-30.

He never met Jesus ans the other apostles were man of Paul, and all the other gospels were made AFTER the letters of Paul and the oldest gospel is from Marc, wich is a friend of Paul...Peace!

    (or whatever, I'm from Dutch)

  • the bible is a horrible fairytale

  • Great! A top of the line, super soft, antique method, double stitched, 55 dollar book of fairies, gnomes and goblins.

  • @OneParticleCharged I wouldn't discount the Bible so quickly. This world is on a collision course with Global Tyranny. All of this has been prophesied in the Bible.(SeeRev.13, Matt24, Dan.11-12).The Bible says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. The battle against the NWO is a spiritual one.We should all prepare accordingly.

  • @samuelamos1 Who uses religion more than the N.W.O.???? To suggest using the bible as a guide to 'prepare accordingly' for the N.W.O. is like suggesting having sex to prepare accordingly for virginity. The world is not on a collision course with global tyranny. The world is under global tyranny now. It's called religion. I don't have to discount the Bible, quickly or otherwise - It discounts it'self.

  • @OneParticleCharged I agree, the NWO does control all of the worlds' religion;primarily through the RCC.However, the NWO hates the King James Bible. It was the Catholics who burned both Tyndale and Rogers at the stake for translating the Bible into English. The book of Revelation tells us that when the final global government takes form it will be an all-encompassing political, economic, religious, organization. The religion of the NWO will be the many flavors of the New Age religion...Cont.

  • @OneParticleCharged under the banner of Roman Catholicism. It was David Spangler of the UN that said anyone who will enter the New Age must take a Luciferian oath. The Invocation Prayer adopted by the UN is a New Age Invention. The founders of the New Age(HPB&Bailey)were admitted Luciferians. In contrast many in the truth movement have been Bible believing Christians,eg W.Cooper,Springmier,Kent Hovind,&Keith Thompson.Religion is often corrupt. But the King James Bible is not. Soli Deo Gloria

  • @samuelamos1 OK Sammy,I'll amuse myself with an obvious answer.Read carefully-you have to actually believe the bible to believe in lucifer lol.So I don't fear lucifer. I wonder why Christians don't offer up a prayer every once and a while to lucifer. You owe a lot to him after all. It's pretty obvious that lucifer is as equally important to Christianity as jesus.Without his role as inter-universal boogieman none of it would make sense.Yes, thank God for Satan. What would Christians do without him?

  • @OneParticleCharged As William Cooper often said,"It doesn't matter if you believe it;they believe it".He was speaking of the ideology of the NWO.A large segment of the Global Elite and their satellite org. are Luciferian. For example,Bailey&HPB of the New Age,Freemasonry, who's god is Lucifer, says Pike.David Spangler of the UN.The Jesuit Order of Adam Weishaupt is reported to hold Black Mass and other Satanic rituals, ect.Whether or not you believe in the Devil is irrelevant. Cont.....

  • @samuelamos1 William Cooper was wrong. The truth is...it doesn't matter if THEY believe it...it matters is if YOU believe it.

  • @OneParticleCharged The reason the NWO hates the KJB is because it exposes them. More liberal translations exclude the book of Revelation entirely.Look for that to be the norm in coming years. The Bible plainly states that the last world empire will be destroyed at the return of Jesus Christ. This is my hope.If you do not believe this then you have no hope;because you are fighting a system w/inexhaustible human, monetary, political resources. An org. that controls Banking,Gov, Education,Cont.....

  • @samuelamos1 They can exclude Revelations from the Bible, what do I care? Even better - exclude the whole thing! The world would be a better place as far as I'm concerned.

  • @OneParticleCharged Media,Religion ect. This unstoppable force has been gaining momentum since the tower of Babel and cannot be stopped by human means. The KJB asks this rhetorical question. "Who is like unto the Beast? Who is able to make war with him?".Give it some thought. Jesus says in Matt.12:30"He that is not with me is against me;and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad". In the last days, the safest place to be is with Jesus Christ.

  • @samuelamos1 Hey Sammy, while your safe with Jesus in the last days... say hi to the Easter Bunny

  • There is only one bible folks, that si the one that was cannonized and accepted by the united church for a thousand years, that is, the Latin Vulgate, you know the original?

  • Comment removed

  • the measure of a bible is not the outside appearance but the meat within just as it is with man.almighty God bless you

  • fuck your god

    proud atheist here

  • @religiousabuse "Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness:.."Isa 26:10 ;

  • @religiousabuse Isn't it kind of irrational to harbor such hatred toward a God that you do not believe exists? You should read Romans chapter 1. Paul wrote about you.

  • No one makes a bible to my liking? Not a single publisher has anything that impresses me? I want a wide margin bible that is india paper like the cambridge wide margin. I want 10pt print in a bold text. I want nothing more than translation notes (greek hebrew etc.) and minimal cross references. I want goatskin leather or calfskin only. I want brown leather without the words holy bible on the cover! Allan bibles seem to be the overall best designs. At least thats how they look on the net.

  • Hey, Wow! It looks awesome!!! How many translations did they use with that layout, binding and cover?

  • Can you request reinforced stitching or is it only available on certain bibles?

  • The Notetakers bible is awsome for those who love to comb the commentaries and retain what you agree with as notes in your bible. Thanks for this posting as it prompted me to buy one and I love it.

  • @BrianMaClurg1 I want to thank you for your review which then led me to acquire a LCBP Anniversary in Lamb and you are spot on, I've never seen such craftsmanship, I'm in the UK and although I had to wait it was well worth it, this bible is like none I have ever seen, thx bro in Christ and God bless ya:-))

  • I want to know why do ALL of our Bibles---KJV and otherwise---relate the authorship of all 4 gospels as "Matthew, Mark, Luke and John," when serious biblical scholars acknowledge that ALL 4 gospels are actually written ANONYMOUSLY. When you read theirs titles, you are not reading the words of the authors, but something ascribed to them later to add authority. That's corruption. My church was not honest with me; we don't know who wrote the gospels!

  • @californiapuma If you don't Know the answer to that, you really need to study The Bible. Example compare the beginning of Acts to Luke or 1 John to John etc. Wow.... wait you can't be serious? I hope anyways. This is so self evident, I first thought you were joking.

  • @BrianMcClurg1 I am quite serious. I wish you were right. But you're only making the point that Acts/Luke & John/I John had same authors respectively, but this doesn't at all prove who actually wrote them. We know that Paul wrote Romans, etc., in part, because he tells us he did. And he wrote in 1st person, while the gospels are in 3rd person. Please show me where Matthew claimed to write Matthew, or that Mark told us he wrote Mark, etc. You can't---because they didn't. Show me otherwise.

  • @californiapuma youtube.com/watch?v=oja6JL8JKss

  • @BrianMcClurg1 its a nice link but i dont think its a prooves that thy where written by mark luke etc it can be ifcourse

  • @californiapuma If you are keen to find out then can i recommend grabing a good study bible - ESV study bible, holman christian standard study bible or NIV study bible. Each has a short clear section on authorship and explains where the title comes from. As an example the author of Mark is not the apostle Mark but John Mark the student of Peter. He, according to the church fathers in the first and second centuries, authored the Gospel According to Mark based on what Peter had taught.

  • @californiapuma PS I am more than happy to acknowlede good and honest scholarly inquiry and infact i think it is vital - but don't get caught up in it excessively let God explain himself as you read his words - many problems can be solved this way or sometimes you realise they are entirly beside the point - a great book to help understand scholarly oppion of Jesus is The Christ Files by John Dickson (there is also a DVD version, my preferance :) Hope that helps somewhat

  • @BrianMcClurg1 Although I respect your love for the bible and the fact that you have a strong love for God, your replies and attitude can be pretty rude sometimes man :/ I'm only telling you this to maybe help you a bit. Kindness and acceptance are things God likes to see right? :]

  • @OrionAlexander1 Thanks for your comment, but the same could have been said about Christ, and his apostles. The problem I have with mcclurg is his lying about Allan bibles falling apart. That's an outright lie. Notice he never shows this alleged Allan falling apart?

  • @californiapuma This is not a true statement. In the gospel of John 21st chap 24th verse, John identifies himself as not only the writer but an eyewitness to the things written in his gospel. Furthermore even if the authorship could not be determined this does not make the gospel accounts untrue. For four different writers to give the same story at different times, and at different locations could only mean that the events described actually happened.

  • @californiapuma Your church was not honest with your because the Spirit that directs ALL the churches built by the hand of man are liars. How can a liar ever tell the TRUTH? You are to be the CHURCH (means the called out ones). You are to be the temple of Him who sits in the Heavens who made you. The Bible is a curse authorized 66 books in your hands & memorized in your forehead keeps the voice of CHRIST Yahshua closed for you to hear in the SPIRIT. REPENT of the bible and be received by Christ

  • @californiapuma It was written by men but inspired by the Holy Spirit!!! tTHE WORD BECAME FLESH JESUS IS THE WORD AN GOD THE SON!!!

  • Ah yeah, the whole review ruined by KJonlyism. KJonlies have ruined the KJB for me. I just can't read it anymore without it being associated with their abject stupidity.

  • @Keruaran Well, actually people at times will not do their own due diligence and study the Bible version issue for themselves. In the King James Bible, we are told to study.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15. But the major modern translations such as the NIV, ESV, ASV, NASB, and the NLT all take "study" out. There are many strong, and credible proponents of the King James Bible.

  • @177Jeremiah7

Can you translate the Koine Greek in this verse which is: "σπουδασον σεαυτον δοκιμον παραστησαι τω θεω εργατην ανεπαισχυντον ορθοτομουντα τον λογον της αληθειας"?

  • @Keruaran No, I personally cannot translate Koine Greek into English. But I am sure I can find an online translator that could do that for you.

  • @177Jeremiah7

Do you understand what New Testament textual criticism is and what the goal of this field of study is?

  • @Keruaran Well I understand that textual criticism is determining what a text says. It is basically an analysis of the preservation and transmission of biblical text. But let me ask you a question, where do you cross the line in regards to textual criticism? Do we trust and rely more on man's interpretation of biblical text or do we fully depend on the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and to give us understanding of the Holy Scriptures?

  • @177Jeremiah7

It is the analysis of documents involving collecting, reading, cross referencing and checking, & forensic investigation with the goal being to reconstruct the autograph or get as close as possible to it. It is not about interpretation of the text, it is about determining the most reliable reading of the text with the greatest amount of accuracy possible with the resources that are available to us.

  • @177Jeremiah7

Today we have many thousands of manuscripts, pages, portions and fragments of texts from a wide geography and time dispersion at our disposal. The Lord has blessed us with a veritable mountain of textual evidence that is so complete that we are able to trace a copyist error to its source. And we know the meanings of hundreds of koine greek words not known in the 1600's. This is far beyond what the KJV translators dreamed of and if they could, they would have used such resources.

  • @Keruaran Well, actually the King James translators had exactly what they needed. The Byzantine manuscripts (KJV Reading) have generally agree with eachother down through the centuries, while there have been many disagreements within the Alexandrian manuscripts( readings and texts of modern versions). Also, there is documneted proof that the Byzantine Texts are at least as old as the Alexandrian texts. Facts are facts.

  • @Keruaran Again, 95% of all New Testament manuscripts belong to the Byzantine text type. It is no wonder that 95% of all the 5,300+ manuscripts agree with the King James Bible. While only about 5% or less of existing manuscripts support the Alexandria text or what we know today as the Westcott and Hort Greet Text. That is why it is not surprising that the modern versions not only contradict eachother but they have contradictions in their own text.

  • @Keruaran One other thing, the King James Bible is based on the authentic Ben Chayyim Hebrew Masoretic text. This is also the traditional Hebrew text that has been represented by the huge majority of existing old testament manuscripts. What is very important to note is that the King James translators used Formal equivalence as their method in translating the text of the Bible. In other words, they used a word for word translation of the actual Hebrw and Greek words.

  • @177Jeremiah7

A majority reading of a text is not necessarily the most reliable reading, especially when the majority of those sources are late texts. If you follow a majority text, your text will in fact change over time rather than become established. For example, what we today call the Alexandrian type text (and what KJVonlyists call corrupt) was for almost the first 1000 years of Church history the majority text and nobody called it corrupt. Did you know this?

  • @Keruaran Many of the modern translations that are out there do not use a word for word method or process in their translation but rather they translate what they sense the original language means. They use thought for thought or what is known as dynamic equivalency, which leads the translator to interpret the meaning of the original text.

  • @Keruaran That is why translating word for word is so vital, since we know that God inspired all Scripture (every word), then that means every word is important and thus, every word should be translated.

  • @Keruaran Here are some credible proponents of the King James Bible: David Otis Fuller, Dr. Peter S. Ruckman, Dr. Douglas D. Stauffer, Dr. Samuel C. Gipp, Dr. Kirk DiVietro. I could list more, but there is really no need to. Hope this helps.

  • i really don't think that one bible is better than another bible. I don't hate the KJV Bibles, because hate is not a word I would use toward such a holy book, I just don't agree with the idea that people say KJV is the only version and if you dont own one, it is NOT the true word of God. I think it any version is just as good. I am Catholic and I use the NAB and the RSV.

  • I only have one question. What did you mean by, "If you believe what God says, you won't have a problem with that"? Surly you are not saying that the KJV is the only true, inspired word of God because that would be absurd. The KJV may be a good translation, but not for its beautiful language. Modern translation are a lot more accurate. Please, do explain. Thanks.

  • I also have this bible and it is amazing. It is better quality than the Cambridge wide margin and the Oxford wide margin.

  • @chroniclewatch Add them yourself. :) Hence note takers.

  • where are the references in the bible and the dates

  • I have an RL Allan, ESV Personal Reference Bible in Highland Goatskin that is much nicer than this Bible. I also have and ESV Study Bible that appears to be better quality than the Bible in this video. It appears that this guy is reading the comments from the publisher.

  • Can you do a review on the Executive Series Classic Hand Sized Bible?

  • where'd you get it please reply

  • i appreciate the video. thanks

  • Bwahaha, an orthodox/catholic, holocaust denying, AC/DC listening, NASB supporting, KJV basher? Oh boy, I don't think you realize how much your convictions give credence (pun intended) to our cause ROFL!! XD

  • for all who what to know the Septuagint was compiled between 356BC and 324 BC. I want my 4grand LOL

  • the NASB or the OSB is/are the best translation(s)

  • @holypsychopath Your right the Best translations from the WORST MANUSCRIPTS!

    God Bless,

    Brian R McClurg

  • @BrianMcClurg1 what do you have against textus recepticus?

  • @holypsychopath The NASB does not use the TR.

  • @BrianMcClurg1 The OSB is, infact it is the most complete even more so than the KJV. As for the NASB it uses multi-text to translate where as the OSB uses the COMPLETE septuagint unlike the king james and it only uses the TR in the NT. Why not read the OSB?

  • @holypsychopath Do you even realize what you are saying? The LXX (Septuagint) Is the figment of the so called "scholars" imagination. The only greek O.T. they could bring to a court room would be a piece (little fragment) of Deuteronomy. The LXX was the work of Origen back in 350 AD. Don't make a complete Jack Ass out yourself OK, Really its Psycho! LOL

  • @BrianMcClurg1 Septuagint wasn't translated by origin. We have full copies dating back to AD 46. Watch who you call jackass You so-called christian

  • @holypsychopath I'll give 4,000 dollars for one verse in greek before the time of Christ in the book of Job,Esther,Isaiah or Genesis. You don't have anything of the kind.

  • @BrianMcClurg1 All of the quotes in the new testament are from the septuagint! Where are you getting this Idea that Origen wrote it? How could Origen have wrote it in AD350 when he died in AD 254. Your scholarship on this subject is very poor

  • @BrianMcClurg1 You are truly an idiot. Maybe you should do a little research before boasting such claims. You'll end up going broke and you'll have ignorance to blame.

  • Nice Vid bro strait and to the point. I love the KJV and it's all I use. I've been planning to get a Bible that has room for note-taking and this one seems really nice. I got tired of purchasing bibles with Satan's footnotes at the bottom.

P.S. nice job putting the lame responses to your vid in their place!

  • How can I get this bible?

  • 4. The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek, not King James English. It should be obvious to anyone that all Bible translations have errors. Christ is the only authoritative Word of God, not any one Bible translation.

  • 3. There is no way in the world an RL Allan or Oxford or Cambridge Smyth-sewn Bible is going to wear out in 2 years unless you threw first threw it down a mudhole and then left it on an interstate highway for a month. I’ve owned and used Bibles from each of those publishers, some of which are over 60 years old, and they don’t fall apart easily.

  • I agree on balance with this review and I highly recommend the Note Taker myself, but I have to correct a few points:

    1. Anyone who knows anything about premium book bindings will tell you that a side-sewn binding, as used on the Note Taker, will never be as good as a Smyth-Sewn binding. Smyth-sewn bindings lay flat, have tighter signatures, and are used in all premium Bible bindings.

    2. The Note Taker calfskin cover is quite good, but certainly is not the best on the market.

  • @mallen717 All Church Publisher Bibles ARE Smyth-sewn. Then they use an over stitch which adds extra durability.

  • They need to make an ESV Bible now. Very nice looking Bible.

  • which Item# is this one on the site?

  • Brian-what is the difference between the ironed calfskin and the regular calfskin? Any advantages/disadvantages? thanks
