there are two types of Konami games, the ultra serious, story driven, Metal Gear and Castlevania type. then.....there is.....THIS....self referential insanity.....I dunno which i like more.
What is it about Konami games that continually makes absolutely no connective logic whatsoever? And yet, most of them are still fun to play. Still, I am convinced most of the Konami corporation was on drugs in the 80's and early 90's.
Chill Kid Dracula... bad jokes aside, I would think he might be used to these temperatures being the undead and all, so he should feel pretty at home, although I'm sure he desires the warmth of the sun.. which begs the question just what kind of vampire is he?!
That would be nice. The US has a tax code thousands of pages long, with thousands of exemptions and rebates for the most ridiculously specific things. This is all thanks to Congress. CONGRESS! (shakes fist)
Heh, one step ahead of you regarding taxes. Did 'em back at least two weeks ago. Somewhere around the first or second week of February...best to get 'em done early, then you won't have to worry about 'em for another year.
I have to say the Flight powerup would have been useful early on, but then, that just would've made the game far too easy now, wouldn't it? Could do without the instant death spikes and transforming back whenever you hit a wall...
Apparently, when your a vampire child, you are immune to water, and when you are in Alaska, it's customary for the locals to throw ice cream treats at you.
Oh, wow. It was nowhere near this hard in the sequel, except on the last level (which incidentally had those pillars that shot you up into spikes). Now I'm impressed-I guess the sequel wasn't a direct port after all, so it'll be neat to see how the two games differ.
Actually, some vampire legends involve them dieing when in contact with water. It's not a universal rule, like THE SUN KILLS VAMPIRES, but it has been told before.
In most cases it was actually running water or rain that was the problem (the whole washing away the impurities of the land). Some myths went further than that but those were a fair minority of the myths.
Besides everyone knows real witches don't melt in water. They float when you toss 'em into a lake with a rock around their ankles.
I'm pretty sure it's running water a vampire melts in, that or just regular holy water. Of course i just might be completely mistaken, so don't quote me on any of that.
I was guessing there would be a water level next, but I didn't believe myself. Well, it's not like there's going to be a fire/lava level, right?...there's one isn't there.
hey dc, have you ever played any of the white wolf vampire mythos based games? like the masquerade and bloodlines, i really liked them but they are buggy as hell, especially the second one, awesome episode!
I never played the pen and paper games, but Vampire: Bloodlines was an outstanding and very under-rated PC RPG! Though, as the above poster mentioned, it *was* buggy as hell.
This vid game me Deju Vu. I'd had a dream about it before. That's just weird. Maybe dream, was a misnomer. Not because the LP's are ever bad, but this game is fiendish. More likely a nightmare.
When having the bomb shot, the normal shot is rendered useless, you should go the whole game with the bomb shot, I don't know if you already realized that, I guess you did.
In that part with the swimmers, using the homing shot is the most recommendable, quickly you can get over 100 coins, just a tip for everyone that hasn't play the game yet.
You probably recorded the next video in advance so there's no point in my giving any advice but I started playing the game inspired by your Let's Play and must say that it's not bad at all - I expected the controls to be rubbish, which they aren't.
Anyways - the tip I wanted to give is that the homing attack is totally overpowered and while it doesn't do much damage it works wonders against bosses - you should try it out on that dragon and the octopus fell to it as well.
The underwater parts look just like mario 3. The seaweed and the boxes with four screws in them. Heck, the bottom status bar looks like mario 3. I see what's going on here...
Speaking of you playing a game and mentioning taxes...where is my EZ Tax form? Thank DC! You entertained me AND reminded me I need to collect my paycheck slips!
I am kind of sad this game never caught on. I mean truth be told it's qaulity was good and the game play was pretty awesome. I mean yeah sure there was the game boy... but you know the Gameboy.
This all makes me wonder where the Hell the DaNasty family went.
